QUOTE (dasox24 @ Jan 5, 2009 -> 07:10 AM) Not really sure where to put this, but I just started watching Entourage last week because I've always heard how awesome of a show it is. Anyway, I've watched Seasons 1-3 in the last week, and will be starting on Season 4 tomorrow. Those were the only seasons I bought, though, because I heard Season 5 was bad. Anyway, I just wanted to say that this show is awesome. Absolutely hilarious, mainly Johnny Drama. "Not in my town... Not in any of my 5 towns." Turtle, Drama and Ari are by far the funniest to me.

QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ Jan 4, 2009 -> 06:32 PM) It's an Indianapolis Star writer, I believe. Apparently he's like Indy's version of Mariotti. Anyone that can't appreciate what the Colts have done...Super Bowls be damned...well I just don't know what they are thinking....

So I just watched Gran Torino. The movie is kind of up and down on how good it is. There are more effective parts than others........it's more good than not though. You never really see like an 80 year old badass in movies so it's kind of tough to know how to react...I will say the Hmong girls are quite cute...

If you've never had nitrous.....get it. You seriously won't give two s***s that they're ripping teeth out of your head. It's awesome.

I freakin LOVE Tom Crean. I refuse to believe he won't have Indiana as a Sweet 16 team in fewer than 5 years.

Oh, I thought it was fun.....the nitrous can make you loopy....I wanted to talk during the procedure. It's the painful gums afterwards that suck more. Trust me, the part in the dentist's office isn't bad at all if they know what they are doing.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Jan 4, 2009 -> 03:31 AM) I don't know much about the guy, but that would seem to be a pretty good hire. Anything to jump start that program is needed, and a guy implementing a big time offense could be the thing to do that. Herman put together a top ten offense nationally at Rice. He's got the toys to play with at ISU this coming year to make for a dangerous offense.

Iowa State hires Rice's OC Tom Herman as OC/QB coach. Outstanding f***ing hire, we have a shot to be even more dangerous on offense.

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jan 2, 2009 -> 10:16 PM) These Big 12 refs are ridiculous. How is that kick-catch interference when the guy caught the ball? No one ever accused Big 12 refs of being good. "f***ing horrible" would be a generous descriptor.
-
Andruw Jones to the Sox??
Heh, the Dodgers could see a guy like Egbert and figure he'd never give up a home run in LA.

Gavin Floyd for Brian Roberts discussed
Some of the crack that this guy was smoking might make my night go by quicker. I'm sure we're eager to go into next season with Buehrle and Danks the only two sure things in the rotation next year to fill in a semi-hole that we've got three guys who could possibly cover. You know, cause there's a ton of 17 game winners out there that made 400k last year.

It's about my penis...
tee hee Same as scenario, it happened at birth. A better question is how exactly does a chick drop hints about this? "The sex is good, but I can't help but feel like there's a little something between us...." BTW, Gage.....the text I sent you last night.....this girl wants me......and here's what happened...... I went to her party, but it sucked, so I left to hang out with the football grad assistants....under the impression this chick and I were gonna meet back up at the bars. Well, we both went to the bars, only when I went with the GAs, we went to bars on Main Street, while she went to the ones in Campustown. And, of course, my cell phone gives out on me, so I cannot rectify the situation. I started texting her once I got my phone plugged in at 2 AM or so, but she was plastered, I had already chanced it driving after some beer and some brandy, and the streets were crawling with cops, so nothing happened. She's interested in me, but I wasn't gonna drive for it last night. On the bright side, I got offered an internship in a bar bathroom last night....

QUOTE (AssHatSoxFan @ Jan 1, 2009 -> 07:11 PM) Cy, won the Capitol One Mascot Challenge We're a bunch of computer nerds. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 1, 2009 -> 07:57 PM) Then how do you explain one of the most unathletic teams in Iowa beating Florida, LSU and now South Carolina? Iowa didn't have better athletes on the field in any of those games, did they? Sure, we've had a Shonn Greene here, a Dallas Clark or Bob Sanders there (the last two were two star recruits or not even on the "map" in terms of rating services)...but can you really say that it's impossible for Big 10 teams to defeat USC or teams from the SEC? Yes, Iowa was wiped out by USC in 2002 in the Orange Bowl, but USC and LSU beat Oklahoma when those Sooners teams were SUPPOSED to be the best team in the country, and OU had plenty of athletes as well. Georgia was predicted to be the preseason #1...they could beat any team in the country on any given day, especially at home. They could also lose to just about any SEC team this year, as proven. If you want to talk about conferences that have fallen off, look to the ACC and the Big East. Are they relevant to anyone anymore? Did anyone really expect Northwestern to beat Missouri? They played a good game...against a Missouri team that was fighting it out for the National Championship at the end of 2008 and heading into 2009. Minnesota didn't even deserve to be in a bowl game, look at their final game against Iowa (also for Wisconsin)...heck, you could say pretty much the same thing for South Carolina, and they certainly played like a team heading in the wrong direction today, while Iowa had all the momentum in the world on its side finally after some very close early season losses at Pitt, against Northwestern (they had that game put away until a fumble at the end of the first half let NU back into it)...and they were in the games until the final minutes at MSU and Illinois. That said, Iowa would have been the worst undefeated team in recent memory had they snuck into a BCS game somehow. Whenever Iowa fans get discouraged, Ferentz always figures out a way to resuscitate the program. He has done it twice now. It's easier to rebuild from scratch than to have a sustained level of success (three consecutive #8 finishes in the country from 02-04), lose it almost completely and then get back to a very high level again. You almost never seen a program under the same coach recover these days in those situations. With all that said, with the weakness of Michigan and the surge by Texas Tech and OSU this season, the Big 12 South and the SEC are the two dominant elements of college football, along with USC. All I know about Iowa/Big Ten is that Iowa State almost won at Iowa (had nearly more than 100 more total yards than the Hawks) and ISU is one of the worst BCS teams there is. The Big Ten should be thanking Iowa for beating Penn State and saving the conference the embarrassment of getting destroyed in the title game had Penn St. run the table.

The Dark Knight
QUOTE (CubKilla @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 11:52 PM) Yes. I just saw Spiderman 3 a few days ago and I got douche-chills. The original Spiderman and Spiderman 2 were very good, but I can see where the Spiderman fans would have problems with the 3rd. The marching band playing the "Amazing Spiderman" cartoon theme, the reactions of the people in New York, Tobey Maguire being a "bad-ass" wearing the Venom suit, ugh..... I felt sorry for Spiderman fans. Comic book movies are at their best when a director takes the subject matter seriously. Having said that, any superhero dealing with crime and criminals should have a dark undertone to the subject matter for obvious reasons. Nothing's light-hearted about crime. Until Batman busts Blago.

QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 31, 2008 -> 12:33 AM) Casey's General Store? There's one near-ish to me. What pizza do you recommend? Just a regular pepperoni. They are the pizza of choice in Iowa. I don't know if they do things differently in Michigan, though. Plus, it's just a pizza, so it's worth a try. Or you could try their breakfast pizza if you like cholesterol.
