  1. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 10:59 AM) Yawn, pick the most boring and useless players. Have fun at your superbowl!!! Ha....we know it's our superbowl. Doesn't make it any less fun. We know the crowd will be loud tonight and I have no problem admitting that I love beating KU more than anyone. Plus, people will hopefully be witnessing some Hilton Magic tonight. I mean, check out this thread: http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=172&f=2...p;sto=pagestart For a 24-3 team facing a 14-13 team that hasn't beaten a ranked team in two years, there's an awful lot of concern.
  2. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 26, 2008 -> 10:23 PM) UNC back to number 1, shows the parody of College Bball. Shut up Jimmy Dykes. Watch out tomorrow. Sasha is going to have hurt feelings. I think we're going to target him and Rush from the student section. That and Self's hairpiece. I love these games.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Feb 25, 2008 -> 11:14 PM) Well, my theory is that you get drunk all the damn time but then you black out and forget you have been drinking. I passed out after four beers once. /end debate

QUOTE(The Beast @ Feb 25, 2008 -> 05:07 PM) To be honest with you, I've never really cared about what people think about me. I feel that I am being mature about what I'm doing at college and staying true to my beliefs. I do not want to go to the party scene and even hold a beer, that is not my scene and frankly that's not what college is all about to me. I want to do things that interest me on the weekends, such as (all of what I mentioned before.) I'm not trying to be seen as being "mature" by playing Magic. I am trying to become a well adjusted person, I just don't want to go out and party. Understood? No? I thought so. I may not come across this way, but I drink maybe once a month. It's not my scene either.
  12. Row. SIU will win Arch Madness. I guarantee it.
  13. Have fun getting your crunk on.

QUOTE(Felix @ Feb 25, 2008 -> 02:29 PM) Two of my roommates (and a couple of other friends that they play with) play magic and also drink. Then again, I ridicule my roommates mercilessly for playing magic (in a friendly way, just as they ridicule me for being from New Jersey). Well, the difference is, you deserve it. I can't handle people playing Halo. I think it's the dumbest f***ing waste of time ever. People probably think the same thing about me playin Madden. Oh well.
  15. Welcome Back Coxer "Do you love it as much as I do?"
  16. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Feb 24, 2008 -> 04:24 PM) Yeah, I don't understand how baldy people type when they're drunk. It almost seems like they're exaggerating on purpose. I can be black-out drunk, and still write coherently. This I know for a fact. You're just not badass. Sorry.

QUOTE(The Beast @ Feb 25, 2008 -> 02:13 PM) The "inner beast" does not want to do drugs, drink or have sex at this point. I'm glad you want to have fun but right now at this moment in my life, all I want to do involves things that are more mature than what some college students want. I want to have my serious relationship continue and I want to have it develop into something greater, as it has since she and I started dating. I want to have a smaller group of friends and flourish with them being so close. I would love nothing but having what I've had in the past few years, which is a happy, mature, loving, caring lifestyle. I don't feel that I fit in the age group I do because all of what I want to do involve more mature and developed ideas. Have fun doing as you please, wite, and the rest of you---and I will continue to do what I want in achieving high standards and having a quality life full of values, small groups of close friends, a relationship with my girlfriend and of course, watching White Sox baseball, because that is what I want to live by. Are you concerned about being mature or having other people see you as mature? Not trying to be snarky about it either, but you are throwing that around an awful lot. No ones even saying you have to drink. But the socialization that you're having just isn't total socialization. Try going out without drinking. You'll strike up conversations, see people from your classes and you'll make friends. Hell, if it makes you uneasy, just carry around a cup of beer that you won't drink, so people don't say anything. But you're losing a chance to network and meet people. That's all. On a side note, stuff like Magic...if you want to be seen as mature, those two just don't jive. Sorry. Again, not trying to be snarky, but in all honesty, that doesn't come across as something that a "mature" person would be into - at least, a well adjusted one.

  19. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Feb 24, 2008 -> 07:57 PM) Nah I'm not kidding. Guys like Peterson and Haluska could do some damage with a PG, and you have some athletes at the SF/PF positions. You just have to find a PG somewhere that's worth a damn. We're waiting on Tyrone Appleton today. The games you saw out of Petey and Haluska were both's best for all year. You didn't see our best player do real well. QUOTE(Felix @ Feb 25, 2008 -> 12:38 AM) I've watched the Gophers play ISU twice in the past 2 years, and I'd agree with Heads. Although the one guy that tore us up in last year (Taylor?) really, really could shoot. He took over the game a year ago, not sure where he is now though, since I don't think he played in this years game (could be wrong though). Yeah, he got kicked off.
  20. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Feb 23, 2008 -> 04:00 PM) So Heads I just got back from the ISU/Tech game, and it was a lot of fun. But I didn't realize how much talent ISU has everywhere but at the PG role. Hubalek is a monster inside, and the younger Haluska has got some game. The Bryan Peterson kid seemed like a great shooter, and the best PG option, but didn't get as much P/T as I would have thought. Wesley Johnson just couldn't stay out of foul trouble, same with Trevor Cook on our side. Anyways, if that Hubalek kid could have just found a reliable PG option, he could be putting up monster numbers. You're kidding me. This is a pretty untalented team. Petersen and Haluska are both walkons. Consensus here that while Petey is solid, Garrett has much more upside. Hubalek...we're going to miss him. Oh well, let's f*** up Kansas.
  21. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/team/playe...layer_id=425856 Should I be concerned about the area where Gavin's "action" shot should go?
  22. We're trying to build up activity for each to have their own board.
  23. To be truthful, when I went to Manhattan, everyone there was pretty nice to us. You imagine people from Kansas would have to be nice, or no one would come back to their state. I also have to think that Manhattan is by far the toughest place to recruit to in the Big 12, even harder than Ames.

All I can say is that college is as good of a time as any to create some memories. Gotta be spontaneous every once in a while.
