2007 Post ASB White Sox Catch-All Thread
QUOTE(BearSox @ Nov 9, 2007 -> 02:54 PM) What is so great about Qualls? He is horrible under pressure (which is evident by his 6 SV's in 19 career opportunities). He is a decent-good pitcher and all, but with the Sox in the AL Qualls probably puts up a 4+ ERA and gets b****ed at by everyone on the board because quite frankly, he isn't that great. Sweeney isn't too great either.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Nov 8, 2007 -> 11:11 PM) I want to squeeze Lou Holtz and see what comes out of him. Someone find me last night's Gundy impersonation. I nearly lost it - not cause it was even close to being on par with the magic one, but just cause.

QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 9, 2007 -> 12:05 PM) Is Johnson out this weekend? He sprained his ankle last week. He *could* play tonight. So, that means that our starting SG, SF and C have all been hurt with our original starting SG suspended. Lineup tonight: PG Petersen/Garrett SG W. Johnson/Haluska SF Clark/C. Johnson PF Brackins C Hubalek/Thompson I listed the probable starters first. The only guy I'm sure of is Brackins - he's fun to watch.

Yay, Iowa State begins tonight with Winston-Salem State. Unfortunately, our best player sprained his ankle. But we did crack 10,000 season tickets. So yeah. I'm just ready for real basketball.

And now it seems that it actually was defeated. That wind you felt was an exhale from students at Iowa.

First Pot of Chili, Fall Has Arrived
QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 5, 2007 -> 10:37 PM) Wow.. I have not heard that expression in at least a decade. Love that creamed chip beef. I am also a no bean chili eater. That's what my dad calls it....so that's I know it as. QUOTE(Texsox @ Nov 6, 2007 -> 07:38 AM) On biscuits or toast? That does sound good. Toast. I'm not made of money. It was just your random TV dinner one, but, God, warmed me up.

Iowa State @ Kansas on ABC on the 17th. Should be a good watch. I'm really thinking that we can get to Colorado. We teetered on the edge of a solid win over K-State before letting them back in, but CU has no one close to Jordy Nelson.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 4, 2007 -> 03:12 PM) Well they already beat USU this exhibition season, good luck. 74-63 win, which I suppose isn't too bad. We played without Jiri Hubalek (starting C) and Rahshon Clark (starting SF), and, again, without the guy that was projected to be our starting SG heading into this year. Wesley Johnson is a straight up stud. 18 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 assists, 1 block, 0 turnovers. Brackins dropped in 17. I hate Alex Thompson.

QUOTE(bmags @ Nov 4, 2007 -> 12:58 PM) as a mizzou fan, I would be worried about Tex AM after last year getting ran all over by that fat bro. BUt this year our run defense has been stout as hell. In fact our front four play has been crazy good. That, and coffman, rucker and maclin. Coffman's 3 td's were each as highlight reel worthy as the next. If I were Kansas I'd worry about Okl St. Alexander Robinson says hi to the stout run D.
