QUOTE(daa84 @ Sep 30, 2007 -> 07:51 AM) yeah youre right, the big 12 is much better especially considering oklahoma pounded laughing stock colorado and the second best team pummeled K state at home, and nebraska easily won against laughing stock ball state....... oh wait I never said the Big 12 was at the top of the class, merely that the Big 10 has some horrible football.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 30, 2007 -> 02:35 AM) They do but I think they'll slip up somewhere. Whether it's Cinci, Louisville or Rutgers I don't know but I do think they'll fall along the way. I still think LSU is the best team in the nation but I don't think they can run the table. I also think USC will fall at Oregon or Cal(I believe both those games are on the road at least). Cal isn't good enough to run their pac 10 schedule either imo. BC honestly might have the best chance to go undefeated because of their conference but eh, I don't see that either. Like I said, I really wont be surprised if there are 2, one loss teams in the National Title game. EDIT: Whoops, left out the b10 undefeateds. Well, I don't see either of them running the table either(talking about OSU and Wiscy, not even mentioning Purdue). Me either. Who cares if you forgot the Big 10. They suck a substantial amount of balls. Although, I am rather pumped. Just over a month til ISU opens the exhibition bball season.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 30, 2007 -> 02:23 AM) I wasn't either . Who knows but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there are 0 undefeated teams in the national championship this season. A lot of things have to happen but as seen today, this year is wide open. Well, South Florida does have a legit shot and going undefeated....

Iowa gets commitment from 6-9 260 *** 09 C Brennan Cougill, widely regarded as the top player in the state of Iowa and is somehow the #9 center on Rivals for 09. Iowa beat out Indiana State, Southern Illinois, Loyola Chicago and UWGB. Iowa State was not likely to offer Cougill. Sorry, Jason. Kid is fat. Also, more than likely just midmajor talent. Lickliter is having a really tough time recruiting. His highest rated recruit from 08 is Matt Gatens, who, I have read, "would go to Iowa if Hitler coached there". This is going to be a real test of Lickliter's coaching ability. I like the man, and I think he's a good coach, but Alford left and Iowa basketball reminds me of Iowa football post-Fry.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 30, 2007 -> 01:08 AM) SIU-Hawaii. I wasn't talking bball. It's frustrating watching Iowa State. A new QB who reduces INTs would be great. We can't have four touchdowns versus eight picks in five games. That being said, the coaching is a breath of fresh air. Although I'm not sure the ST guy is earning his money. It may look like we've gotten worse, but there's some promising signs in there. They're just hard to describe. The fact that they executed their game plan against Nebraska about as well as possible up until the Lucky TD pass is an encouraging sign. I'm not so sure we wouldn't be 0-5 with McCarney.
