  1. Wow, I can't believe how closely my ballot for an online poll resembled this. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 12:03 PM) Wow...I can't believe we didn't move. I thought we'd fall out. Week 14 ESPN/USA Today Poll 1. Connecticut (22) 20-1 761 Connecticut 2. Duke (8) 21-1 749 Memphis +1 3. Memphis (1) 21-2 709 Duke -1 4. Villanova 17-2 677 Villanova 5. Gonzaga 18-3 630 Gonzaga 6. Florida 20-2 612 Texas +1 7. Texas 19-3 606 Florida -1 8. George Washington 18-1 505 George Washington 9. Illinois 20-3 486 West Virginia +1 10. West Virginia 17-4 482 Illinois -1 11. Michigan State 17-5 429 Michigan State 12. UCLA 19-4 410 Pittsburgh +1 13. Pittsburgh 17-3 384 UCLA -1 14. Tennessee 16-3 380 Tennessee 15. N.C. State 18-4 339 NC State 16. Georgetown 16-4 306 Iowa +3 17. Ohio State 16-3 303 Indiana +4 18. Boston College 17-5 271 Ohio State -1 19. Iowa 18-5 192 Boston College -1 20. Oklahoma 14-5 175 Georgetown -4 21. Indiana 13-6 110 Washington +2 22. Michigan 16-4 98 Kansas +5 23. Washington 16-5 93 LSU +3 24. North Carolina 14-5 81 North Carolina 25. Colorado 15-4 45 UAB +4 OTHERS RECEIVING VOTES LSU 41, Kansas 40, Northern Iowa 36, UAB 33, Bucknell 29, California 9, Miami 9, George Mason 8, Creighton 8, Wichita State 6, Nevada 6, New Mexico 5, San Diego State 4, Kentucky 3, Wisconsin 2, Stanford 1, Maryland 1, Florida State 1. DROPPED FROM RANKINGS Maryland 23, Northern Iowa 24. Heh, I had all 15 teams within one spot. The Big 10 was the major difference, as I feel Iowa is a top 15 or so team right now, and Indiana's performance against UConn gave them hope...but I do feel I probably overrated them a bit and underrated Georgetown a bit. The last 5 spots are a clusterf***, as Michigan's asspounding dropped them out for me, and Kansas deserves to be in over a Colorado team that was thoroughly handled by ISU. I'd appreciate any criticism on my rankings, but I'm trying to watch enough basketball to make this worthwile. I'm sure Gage will be surprised I have Iowa so high.
  2. How the f*** is Colorado still ranked? They lost to Iowa freaking State!
  3. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 12:03 AM) What was wrong with the last game, seemed find to me. I hear Curtis Stinson loves Allen Fieldhouse. Heck, maybe he'll play better than he did against CU.
  4. No reason to let this continue. Mark ain't going anywhere.
  5. Jimbo, you ready for this Saturday...I'm expecting a better game than the one in Hilton.
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 5, 2006 -> 02:27 PM) Iowa State up 15 on Colorado. I'll just throw that out there as a conversation starter once heads gets back from the game. ISU wins 96-79. Holy s***, they played like a team actually deserving of an NCAA berth. Stinson with a triple-double, 5 guys in double figures and the complete demolition of Andy Osborn, for some strange reason. A win at Kansas State on Wednesday would set up a fun game at the Phog between ISU and Kansas again. The ISU @ Kansas games are always fun as well. Wow. Stinson with 24 points, 9 or 10 boards (they announced 10 at the game) and 10 assists with only 2 turnovers. Rahshon Clark with 24 points and 14 boards.
  7. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 5, 2006 -> 11:50 AM) So you'd want Butters, the little b**** who is constantly torchered and humiliated. Who's dad is a closet homosexual and who's mother once tried to drown him in a lake and then blamed the whole thing on some Puerto Rican guy to be the representative of the Chicago White Sox Baseball Franchise? f*** that, give me the fat, foul mouthed, racist Eric Cartman. No. Professor Chaos. Duh.
  8. QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 5, 2006 -> 09:31 AM) Guess he didn't work out in the leadoff role.... What about the two hole. Someone obviously thought he did well enough the first time.
  9. Colorado @ Iowa State today in a little over an hour. I''m heading out, but I'm guessing the crowd won't be too big after that Kansas deabcle. A win today keeps me happy, a loss makes me sad. ISU had a players only meeting where apparently Stinson and Blalock took charge and talked to the freshmen about what they need to do. We'll find out in about 3 hours, but I could see ISU coming out with some energy just to mess with me.
  10. "Seahawks Also Practicing Racist QB selection with Hasselbeck over Wallace"
  11. QUOTE(knightni @ Feb 4, 2006 -> 11:56 PM) This week's Scoop Jackson article: "How the Steelers are racist: Roethlisberger over Batch?!" "How the Steelers are even more racist: White jerseys over black in the super bowl"
  12. Ugh, I'm tired of the Brokeback references already. Hopefully it doesn't get as bad as the Rick James line.
  13. Don't look now, but Purdue beat Wiscy. No one noticed.
  14. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Feb 4, 2006 -> 10:34 PM) Maybe not, and College sports is all about the emotion. I just never understood the contempt for Iowa students celebrating a victory, like if you went to Illinois you would never do that. They do it, and take it a step further. I don't either. We stormed the field twice this year, once for beating Iowa....that day was all about emotion. Beat the #8 team, biggest rival.....the other time was just a strange day....we beat Colorado who was ranked and was almost unbeatable for ISU.....the game was delayed as a tornado hit.....the weather was crazy....and it was senior night. You're right....all about the emotion.
  15. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Feb 4, 2006 -> 10:31 PM) All the Illini fans were ripping the Iowa fans for storming the court after they beat the Illini. How do they explain storming the court after a loss to lowly PSU? Heh, I remember when Nebraska stormed the floor for a loss to ISU. It's not unique to the Illini.
  16. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 4, 2006 -> 10:24 PM) I dont think I have ever seen KU rush the court ever. You do know that Kansas will likely lose again....right?

  20. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Feb 4, 2006 -> 04:56 PM) Resorting to personal attacks again? Why am I not surprised? So long as it stays in the realm of biology you remain civil & a reasonable debate can occur. But as soon as you step out of it you become testy & disrespectful. Sounds like a left-winger to me. Just because you can't understand something is hardly reason to call in gibberish. But I suspect that happens a lot in your life. I don't know if I would call it gibberish but it certainly is lame for an atheist like yourself to take the Bible literally in an effort to refute an explanation that does the opposite. You say left-winger liike it's a bad thing.
  21. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 4, 2006 -> 05:12 PM) Ok State wins. It was an interesting 2nd half to say the least, as Kansas State collapsed quicker than a fat teenager's self esteem.
  22. If anybody cared enough to watch, the Oklahoma State - Kansas State game is tied, and it's been a damn good game.
  23. I feel safe in saying I'm probably the only person in existance watching Oklahoma State @ Kansas State.
