In July we eclipsed 12 million hits for the month. We also set a new Soxtalk record at the trade deadline with over 713,000 hits on July 31.

I think #10 is a much better place for them to start than the top 5. They lost their D-line but Tate should be able to flash his skills in a real offense this year. I could see them doing well with an actual rush offense. Their first three games are Ball State, @ Iowa State and Northern Iowa. The UI-ISU game will be on ABC. I like Ferentz, but he's traditionally had trouble with ISU, except for 2003. We'll see how much they miss some of the old defense against ISU. Iowa could be anywhere from first to fourth in the Big Ten. They have five games against @ ISU, @ OSU, Michigan, @ Purdue and @Wisconsin that will be difficult. Their schedule is not set up for success as the season progresses. But then again, the Hawks have their way of doing stuff. Ferentz is on ESPNEWS now.

I was talking to Neal before the season and he had said he was impressed with the way Adkins was working and expected him to have a good chance to make the team this year.
