Either way, this is the first year ever I've seen any of the papers care about the Sox. There was a Jon Garland lovefest in one Waterloo Courier.

I think more of what was being said is that Anderson is not God. Sure, he may be the best option but he has his faults. Plus, if we don't have to have that service time clock ticking just yet, I could see us sticking with a lot more Timo.

On the other side of things, most of the newspapers in the state of Iowa can't get enough Sox coverage. Sure, you're gonna have Cubs coverage in the DM Register with the Iowa Cubs in town, but I've been pleasantly surprised that if the papers throw in a story about a major league team, it's usually the Sox.

I have a hard time seeing Anderson up anytime soon unless Ev's leg is about to fall off and Pods gets sicker.
