  1. You'll fnd out soon enough, Andrew.
  2. Wow, I can't believe that Irish is getting ripped for this. The guy was somewhat disgusted at what he saw at the park in terms of fan courtesy, and if he can't say something about it here, regardless of whether he talked to an usher, this wouldn't be much of a place for discussion, now would it. Some of you guys act like it's absurd that he's bringing this up, when we've had much more pointless and idiotic threads that slide by without people raising a ruckus. I don't even know if Irish was talking so much about his experience as the general fall of the courtesy of fans everywhere. I may agree with what he said, but it doesn't seem right that he's getting s*** thrown at him for this.
  3. Being a shorter individual, it sucks even more. I mean the fact there are casual fans is a good sign because it means new people are coming to the park. I really want to know what is so hard about waiting in the aisle. If your seat is near the aisle, there is normally enough time to get there when Buehrle is not pitching, and an at-bat rarely goes more than 7-8 pitches. What happens to being nice? Even a simple "Could you please excuse me?" would make me not so pissed off.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 11:00 PM) The Barons win 4-1. Bull picked up the win going 5 innings while giving up just 1 run. Barons scored all 4 runs in the 2nd inning. Josh Fields hit a total bomb (solo shot) to centerfield and then Gonzo had an RBI single and Corey Haggerty a 2 run triple. BJ Lamura had 3 shutout innings of relief (4 K's) and Reynoso picked up his 1st save of the season. Sean Tracey (1-0, 2.61 ERA) will face Derek Thompson tomorrow afternoon. Nice job reading the press release. Now, if you only put them up on FS, we'd be set.

Ratzinger, shortly after the election, could be heard chanting, "I love it when you call me Il Papa..."
  8. For anyone that's been to the memorial, it's a pretty moving place.
  9. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 18, 2005 -> 04:03 PM) Actually the last game on WCIU the picture quality was perfect, a lot better than CSN not to mention no random black outs and the sound works.. I love WCIU sorry out of towners Because nothing works to draw in new fans like having a major league team play on a local channel that does not equal superstation.
  10. Does my OF need that much help?
  11. I've been saying since last year that when Aaron's locked in he could/should be in the 3 hole.
  12. It ws her idea to go then she ignored me for the majority of the nite. I was in a bad enough mood that when my dad asked if I wanted a beer I said yes. (Note: Busch Light sucks) Then she'd say she didn't feel like dancing but then was with other guys. Oh well, I had a blast with like 3-4 other girls there after they found out about my date.
  13. Oh I see. Sorry.
  14. Again....please don't email Brooks. He wants it to go right to Ms. Mckenna.
  15. Think again Jason. I'm so pissed I was up til 5 am this morning.
  16. I'm from like 50 miles N of CR. Had Prom tonite and had a pretty sucky time. Waste of 130 bucks on the whole, though I did win (another) GameCube at Post Prom.
  17. We'll add to the list that three sophomores from my school were tboned yesterday. One was airlifted from the scene and had a ruptured spleen, broken pelvis, broken hip, collapsed lung and the only one concious. I had actually talked with her quite a bit yesterday. Another girl had a bolt put in to relieve swelling on her brain, and was conciosu for a short while but now isn't. She also has facial fractures. The third girl was in my newspaper class and was flung from the backseat approximately 60 feet into a ditch and wasn't found right away. She's in the worst condition and is being prepared for one of those bolts. Her brain is swelling and there's quite a bit of bleeding. She also has a fractured pelvis and was most likely the only one not wearing a seat belt. All are in critical condition in Iowa City in the SICU. This town's seriously being hit hard this year. Only one was from Oelwein, but all three went to school here, and when everyone knows everyone in the school, it's a pretty big shock. Might happen more at other places, but this just doesn't happen here.
  18. I've stretched mine a little too far at times (Shut up right now Mike before you say anything) and it can hurt a little or a lot. I'd guess it'd affect Scotty a lot cause he uses his legs more than anyone.
  19. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 02:30 PM) Or maybe everyone who thinks that could wear the idiot paranoia color.. :rolly Nah. Everyone knows you're a backstabbing b****. What better way to say it than with a wedding dress?
  20. I dunno. Since you're usually out to get people, red would be a much better choice. Blood red.
  21. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 09:26 AM) 14,000 a year is seriously insane though. The closest we'd have to that down here, where you get parking, access to restaraunts, bars, clubs in a convertible stadium, only costs about $350 a month, and membership is fully transferable, so if you can't go, you just give it to someone else and they can go for you instead, for any game or event that is on there. Yeah, but that's Australia. Crazy kangaroos.
  22. I want to eventual have a links page somewhere on here for the greatest Sox blogs.
  23. Brooks emailed me and said forward any requests to mmckenna@chisox.com . He wants you guys to go straight to the source as it's not really his department, but he wants the people to get them. Thanks Alex
  24. I like mine more.
