QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 2, 2011 -> 03:14 PM) I have many reasons to root for the Bears today: 1. I'm a Bears fan. 2. I hate the Packers. 3. I don't want to the Packers in the playoffs. 4. I hate the Packers. 5. My best friend is a Packers fan. 6. I'm playing my best friend Packers fan in the fantasy football championship game. 7. I hate the Packers. 8. My best friend Packers fan has the Packers D/ST going. 9. If the Packers lose, miss the playoffs, AND I beat him in fantasy football to win the title, it'd be a beautiful day. You will be Tebowned.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 2, 2011 -> 03:04 PM) Josh Freeman is an underrated QB and REALLY fun to watch. 27 TD, 6 INT this year. He's gotten past his fat days at K State. Pulling for Hou, NYG, Dal, SF, GB, Ind and TEBOWNED this aft.

Alrighty, with the Chiefs s***ting the bed, the Colts have that 3 seed for the taking. Might as well go get it. Pumped I can actually watch it here in Iowa, though I suppose it was the only real choice.

f*** you Kansas City. I don't know how to feel. I have you for betting purposes, but it'd be nice to see the Colts as the three seed.

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jan 2, 2011 -> 01:44 PM) Leach to UConn, he will be very close for his lawsuit against ESPN. Might be good news for Iowa State. We need that win at UConn next year.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Jan 2, 2011 -> 01:32 PM) Carolina could beat Atlanta and the Bears would still need the Bucs to win to gain overall 1 seed. Carolina is just bad real bad.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 2, 2011 -> 01:02 PM) Certainly respected more than Boise...but the funny thing is most people across the country seemed to think Boise was the better team this year prior to the loss to Nevada. I also caught a lot of flack for pointing out that TCU had some decent NFL prospects on their defense, only to have people point out after the victory that TCU spends a lot and recruits well in Texas. Then I pointed out that Nevada-Reno, the team that beat Boise, had a top 5 offense in college football, only to be told that that is nonsense because they play in the Mountain West conference, but then an argument for TCU's legitimacy over Boise was that TCU played in the Mountain West conference. Just pointing out a bit of the hypocrisy around here over the last month or so.... Nevada plays in the WAC.

Big money day for me today. I'm fourth place in an 18 person confidence pickem league, just 13 points out of first. $30 buy in, and I've won one week for $10. First place gets $100, 2nd - $75 and 3rd $50. Fourth gets $25. Needless to say, I'm rooting for a lot of teams today.

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jan 1, 2011 -> 09:52 PM) 11th. The article published recently only counted bowl teams, with the massive caveat being that Texas and their $25 mil a year program didn't make a bowl this season. That's why I said bowl teams.

QUOTE (kev211 @ Jan 1, 2011 -> 07:28 PM) Guess so, but no matter what me and the other Boise/TCU supporters threw at you in that argument was immediately shot down to the point were we just gave up so its nice to have this. I guess the Boise's and TCU's of the world have no chance ever though because whenever they beat someone everyone just points out its a just a "one game situation." I don't want to speak for anyone else, but I think you can't compare TCU and Boise. Going thru the Mountain West undefeated is much more of a feat than going thru the WAC.
