  1. Fan of both 312 and Fat Tire.
  2. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Dec 31, 2010 -> 12:54 PM) Vanderbeekan can go f*** himself. We were really down with no Mike Scott and Sherrill still hurting. Add in 3-24 from three and it was a really s***ty night. He didn't do anything that couldn't have been expected - you guys were playing two of the best three point shooters in school history. I'm still trying to figure out if Iowa State is good defensively or Virginia was just shooting that bad.
  3. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 31, 2010 -> 12:56 AM) So the Big 12 is sitting pretty. Not a tremendously strong year. Still would have preferred Nebraska losing by 60.
  4. Nebraska fails to show up to the Holiday Bowl, they lose 19-7. Nice knowing ya, GTFO of our conference.
  5. Big road win for Iowa State at Virginia, 60-47. Hard not to like this group of guys.
  6. Big 12 bowl game overshadowed again by bad judgement call by refs.
  7. I appreciate a once again relevant Hedo Turkoglu.
  8. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Dec 30, 2010 -> 10:02 AM) REALLY? The packers have been one of the unluckiest teams in football this year. If any team in the NFL (definately including the bears in this one) were to lose their starting RB one of the top 2 CB on their roster at the time (Al Harris), their 2nd best reciever (donald driver missed a few games) their top TE for the season (Finley), Nick Barnett going down for the season, their defensive line has been banged up all season, not to mention aaron rodgers got a concussion in that detroit game so it was Matt Flynn against the 3rd string QB in the 2nd half of that game Anyone who suggests the Bears are the superior of the two teams are crazy, i know they cant control who they play but their strength of schedule was horrible You're describing the Colts with the exception of the QB injury.
  9. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 11:39 PM) No arguments here man It's a very enjoyable warm weather beer.
  10. I don't care what anyone else says, Summer Shandy is like f***ing candy to me.
  11. Apparently Iowa is like top 50 nationally in 3pt fg% coming into tonight, which I refuse to believe, because Scott Christopherson is still being left open by them.
  12. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 10:54 PM) Illini cruise past Baylor. Very nice W. Too bad next year's team might be minus our best offensive player and our two best defensive players to the NFL draft. Big 12, thanks for playing against the Big Ten so far. Pitiful effort thus far. At least Okie State is Holgorsening Arizona.
  13. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 09:16 PM) Buehrle, Jackson, Danks, Floyd, Sale, and Pena (temp). But, still, as of now, Sale has not started a game as a professional, and Pena is not any good.
  14. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 09:19 PM) Stupid turnovers by Illinois and DMac with the matador defense. They made ten freaking first half threes and couldn't make it stick. Illinois is in full not-give-a-s*** mode.
  15. How this Illinois-Iowa game is this close is beyond me.
  16. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 07:52 PM) White Sox currently have 6 healthy starters, with a 7th in Jake Peavy returning hopefully by May. The problem is not shortage of starters, but rather a shortage of relievers. We have four returning starters healthy. Buehrle, Jackson, Danks and Floyd.
  17. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 05:36 PM) Maybe because that Iowa club had lost all 5 of its games (4 of which were to top 25 caliber teams) by less than 7 points in each game and in 4 of them, a late drive cost them the game. Maybe because Iowa is a loaded team with a good amount of NFL talent. There is a reason Iowa was playing the #12 team in the country and there was a reason they weren't huge underdogs. Vegas knows this squad is talented. Oh, and Illini fans knocking mizzu is sorry. This Missouri team was very good. If you want to tell me that they aren't a top 12 team, go right ahead and show me proof. They beat an Iowa State team without its starting quarterback by only 14. In all honesty, though, they were a completely different team after beating Oklahoma.
  18. Cowley says Sale is going to Camp Cora as well.
  19. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 02:05 PM) I'll take my win and the fact that they had the lead the majority of the game. Coker setting Iowa's single game rushing record too!!! Mizzu is a f***ing really good team though. I'll say that much. Iowa was smart enough to attack Gettis early, who decided to suck.
  20. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 01:48 PM) Yes it can, but from the angle that the ball is, it can't be controlled. Mizzu fans and Iowa haters seem to be the only people having a serious problem with the call. And even than, I've seen plenty of Mizzu people indicate it was the right call. It'd be one thing if it had been called no catch on the field. Then I'd agree there wasn't enough evidence to overturn it and say it was a catch. But the fact that it was ruled the catch - that's not indisputable evidence. Either way, Mizzou s*** the bed.
  21. QUOTE (danman31 @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 01:51 PM) It was an absolute gift of a game either way. It's pathetic that Iowa was even close enough to win by the benefit of 2 or 3 calls and bounces. Agreed. Stanzi got away with a Favre of a game too.
  22. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 01:41 PM) Ya, you can. By the way, I had also visited some Mizzu boards and seen plenty of people who felt that it wasn't a catch as well. And after watching the replays again today, it is very clear that you see the ball shifting and moving when he's on the sideline. The ball was bouncing all over the place. It can touch the ground if its being controlled and you can't tell that from a still.
  23. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 12:10 PM) http://i745.photobucket.com/albums/xx95/th...pg?t=1293609651 Looks to me like the ball is on the ground and his hands aren't completely cradling the ball. You can't tell from that picture if he's controlling it or not.
  24. That was the definition of inconclusive evidence on that call. I can't believe it was overturned.
