  1. Gotta love it. They’ve put in and continue to put in the work. They have the talent. Their belief is warranted. Thank God we have Pedro nowhere near this club and I can only assume Tony is too old to do much of anything aside from eating cottage cheese.

I’m not surprised and in a sense I can have an ounce of compassion for Timmy. It’s like a shot glass got spilled and most of the quervo is on the floor type of ounce. Must be a pain in the ass dealing with two women that value money. Arrogant fool will have a reminder of his poor choices for his entire life. Imagine the awkward conversations that’ll be happening in about 16 years. “What happened Daddy?” 😬
  3. hi8is jr taught me that last year, I had just forgotten. 😆
  4. One thing if they go with Rich that I’ll take solace in is that I can’t wordsmith any LLM off him as the right 1.1 choice. Even if I prompt with explicit instruction to heavily weigh junior year over year improvements and provision no allowance for data showing Roch as the number one pick, demanding a strictly analytical analysis — they always stick with Roch. 😆
  5. This is the attitude we will all have to adopt or else we’ll have blood pressure issues for the next few weeks.
  6. Someone hire this guy at the front office and take me along with you. ( Though I bet they sign some seniors to get some more over slot deals than your mock ). If that was our draft in a nut shell, I think we’d all be stoked.
  7. That is a great point to evaluate for us to have a little insight into the mindset of our war room when talking Vahn. We know this front office loves guys who work good at bats and strike out less than they walk. Good news: Freshman year he was at 11.7% BB / 17.5% K. Sophomore: 9.4% / 14.3% ( small dip ). This year: 17.5% BB ( Big Jump ) / 13.4% K ( lowest in his career ) Comparing to Roch: He has good numbers but this year his is striking out more than last year while walking less. The numbers are negligible though. Freshman 0.71 BB to K rate, Sophomore 1.5 ( best year of the two for this stat, and this year he is walking at an equal rate to his strikeouts ( less walks, more strikeouts ). Makes me somewhat concerned about Roch not being able to make adjustments that the league is making to him. We’re splitting hairs here between two amazing talents but it is just one angle. I like Vahn’s swing much more to translate at the big league level than I do Roch.
  8. I am going to be SO FUCKING SAD if they pass up on that young man’s swing and his athleticism. Anyone here down to pen a letter to the Sox and collect signatures with me. Maybe we can rally and advocate to Chris, Josh, etc via Brooks or some other line that someone may have. Mercy.
  9. Ah yes, brilliant literary usage there amigo.
  10. I’m likely one of a small few who long to flee so cal for the mid west. 😆

Indeed… If you sleep with another woman when you are married, when you have a young child, and when you have a bright career trajectory — you are an emotionless vile arrogant scum bag.
  12. “Playing hard every day and that's the mentality right now. That's the new White Sox. The 2026 White Sox: The mentality is win every day and make the playoffs." -Edgar Quero
  13. Unless it’s 2026 and you have Vahn Lackey available. 😆
  14. Exactly. I guess a lot of fans don’t understand why so much value is placed on shortstops in upper ranks every draft.

In 2021 Tim Anderson was the talk of the town and had been hyped up as one of a select few that would usher in a new generation of baseball. A new generation for youthful players putting their unique mark on the field and a new generation of fans. He was on boxes of cereal, on video game covers, and play with electric confidence that was highlighted on a national stage. And then he was caught cheating on his ( pregnant? ) wife. Spaghetti dinners after he hit bombs surely stoped. His average fell through the floor at a scale whereas he was literally the worst hitter in the league. The team who drafted him kicked him to the curb and he took his depressed average with him to Miami. Sixty five games into that season, he was released by one of the worst teams in baseball. Last year the Angels took a chance on him and by this time in May, he was already told to pack his bags. So, in this episode of Investigative Baseball we ask… what happened to Tim Anderson? Is he sitting at home weeping into the back of puppies who he changes out every few weeks once that “new puppy smell” wears off? Is he growing tomatoes at scale to make his own spaghetti sauce? Offering himself up as a male gigolo? Actual information is allowed as is realistic speculation. Have at it Soxtalk and tune in next week for another episode of “What Happened?”
  16. Someone frame this catch!
  17. Slot is 9.7 million for the third pick. If you sign him for slot at that value then you have about 1.5 million extra and almost 8 million total left to spend as they see fit if they take advantage of the 5%.
  18. The Japanese Connection!
  19. You and I are aligned perfectly going into this draft. Roch had too much expectation and a runner stamp and his performance doesn’t warrant a straight 1.1 pick. Emerson you summed up on the nose. Lackey should be our guy. Hopefully the front office trusts their eyes and don’t give into the pressure of “looking incompetent”. With out luck he will go third to the Twins and torment us for a decade.
  20. In the post game on CHSN they interviewed him and he said, “my flight was supposed to leave at 7:45am but it was delayed until 9, so I got to the park an hour and a half before game time but I was ready to go.” 😆
  21. How about them Antonacci apples brother @Bill The Boy — Boohya boooy!
  22. Damn! Stone just said it’s grade 2. I’ll be shocked if he is back in 4 to 6 weeks and am surprised it’s that bad based on Mune’s reaction.
