  1. @Rolle Tide said that’s way too light and we’d also be getting Adley.
  2. Why thank you. What a kind thing to say. I don’t think it’s necessarily warranted but you can keep singing my praises. Don’t mind. Really though, your trade proposals are a little heavy. I don’t think we’d get back as much as you’re presenting… Again though, it’s flattering you think so highly of us Soxtalk members and our players. Stay as long as you’d like and keep coming back, we all really love the value you bring. Toodles.
  3. We’ll think real hard on that one and get back to ya.
  4. So do you think the Sox could get Mayo and Holliday and Rutschman and Santander and a couple of throw-ins?
  5. Hey guy, he’s talking about Boston.
  6. Yup yup. I’m also assuming our fearless leader is shitcanned.
  7. I wanna see if we get our pool determined by the 10th pick and then based on our first slot in each subsequent round… or do we get 10th slot money to use for every round. You’d think it’s the first case.
  8. 71 - 91 Just putting that out there extremely prematurely and it’s overly optimistic. ?
  9. This is an ignorant post.
  10. Cool to see that we weren’t the only team who valued him higher than Cags - I was not surprised by this one bit.
  11. Yea I remember digging the guy too.
  12. Wasn’t he good as a rookie with the Reds… and an often discussed trade target for us the following year?

Told ya they’d play better in the second half ?
  14. Also - f*** these new rules.
  15. I’m interested in pick 31 or whatever and onward.
  16. Hell yes… dudes my new favorite underdog to follow.
  17. My brain is clearly not working right now fellas. ??
  18. How’s he a 24 year old prep?? ?
  19. Myles Bailey Scouting grades: Hit: 45 | Power: 60 | Run: 45 | Arm: 55 | Field: 45 | Overall: 45 In 2022, Xavier Isaac was a big 6-foot-4 left-handed-hitting first baseman coming out of the Florida high school ranks, one who ended up being a surprise first-round selection of the Rays. Isaac has since reconfigured his body and proven the Rays right by being one of the better power-hitting prospects in the Minors. Could his path help Bailey, another 6-foot-4, lefty-swinging corner infielder also from the Florida prep scene? In some ways, Bailey is ahead of where Isaac was in his senior season. While Bailey is very physical, he’s more athletic than you might think when looking at him, while Isaac had to commit to conditioning after entering pro ball. Similarly, Bailey has tremendous raw power, though there’s work to be done for him to tap into it consistently. Some scouts feel he’s too stiff in the box and needs to change a setup that leads to swing-and-miss, while others do see some hit tool, but perhaps with a barrel that tends to be a bit late. Bailey’s surprising athleticism does give him the chance to be more than just a first baseman, though most feel that’s where he will eventually land. The Florida State recruit has seen time in left field and third base, where his above-average arm plays well. But it’s the power potential at the plate that could have teams interested in keeping the Tallahassee native from staying home for college, though some teams’ models will not like that he will be 19 when the Draft rolls around.
