  1. As Mune, Miggy, and Montgomery go… so shall this game. Set the table Psycho Sam!!! Lock it down Anyday Kay!!! And would someone like please do me a flipping solid and plunk fucking Kwan already??
  2. Signed up for a free trial of FOXOne if anyone else needs a way to watch without paying anything. They offer a 3 day free trial. Locked in! LETS GO SOX!!!
  3. Nice to see Noah is going back to where he should be… I’m high on McDougal and skeptical of Hagen-Smith. If we get 98mph Hagen, we’re good. If we get the 93mph version, he’s cooked.
  4. One of a few bummers about not living near Chicago.
  5. Looks like mlbtv isn’t blacking it out either!!! wtf?!? Edit: This looks to be incorrect.
  6. We have to start relying on our own wins instead of our divisional opponents losing. Nice that we happen to be playing one of them… maybe… May the sprit of Ozzie lead them to a much needed and long overdue winner tomorrow!
  7. Kind of wild that St. Louis allowed a 10 of 10 baseball name in Nootbar to be traded. I’d rather have Prieto than Pereia anyhow. 😆
  8. It really is amazing that the Indians have only won 4 of the last 15 and are only two games back. Shows how much we have been struggling and how much things would be different if we had been able to kick things into another gear. In one way we’re lucky to still be on the top of the Central… and in another way we should have a 6+ game lead with the pennant already in the bag. So frustrating… Urg… I need to fucking sleep until we win again.
  9. No, regardless of Will wanted to have an appeal, he should have gone to the umpires or verbally yelled out to Colson at third. 100% on Venable… and it likely had no effect on the games outcome. Just a total brain fart.
  10. It’s a big load of horseshit on Venable. Only time all year I’ve seen him completely out of a game. Guess we should just chalk it up to the team getting into town at 5am. They’re human.
  11. I’ll always be an optimist for our team ( to my own detriment )… but yes, all we can hope for is a recovery tomorrow. We’re still in a better position now than ANYONE expected this past winter.
  12. Once we knew our team would be in a race, we all knew ( or should have known ) that the outcome would come down to divisional games. So far we’re even against Cleveland. The next two days will be more important than any other we have seen all year… and you’re right… they aren’t coming into those games looking good AT ALL… But if there has been one thing that has defined this team for the majority of this season, it has been their ability to rise to the occasion when their backs are against the wall. Let’s see it again. If they are to go anywhere in the post season, we’ll need to see that fighting spirit more.
  13. Interesting… Will saying in the post game that he went out “with urgency” while “forgetting there had already been a visit” because of an appeal play. Apparently he thought someone hadn’t touched a bag in the first. 1.) If that was the case, couldn’t he have appealed directly to the umpire crew himself instead of going to the mound? 2.) Wonder what would have happened today if that appeal was won and the game was 1-0 after the first. Probably still would have lost because Schultz looked like hot garbage today.
  14. That right there is already a sign that things are improving. @wegner is right… only up from here!!
  15. From your fingers to the baseball God’s will.
  16. The next 5 weeks will show if this is true or not. For now, we can’t say for sure. Really have to wonder how we all would be feeling if the team pulled off a win last night and started off this series with a win. We’d be 5 games up and would be singing phrases. Oh for what could have been. Regardless, I wish Getz had done better at the deadline.
  17. Tell your nephew we need him, brother. Gotta take the next two!
  18. Head scratcher of head scratchers… but I really think it points to arrogance. Instead of the team showing improvement to this point and trying to aid it - he feels that he needs to do pay to the strength of the COACHES in order for the club to improve for the short term and long term. Que Moe, Harry, and Curly.
  19. They must have put some LSD in Will’s coffee.
  20. Brazoban ✅ Doyle 🤔 Castillo 🤔 Bart 🍑💨
  21. The pizza I ordered is garbage, the Sox got their asses handed to them, and there’s a fucking Geiko add on MLB.TV… How can life get any worse?
  22. Welp - guess all we can look forward to is tomorrow and the post game show. Two game lead.
  23. BOTTOM OF THE NINTH COMEBACKER… BOOKED!!!
  24. Yea, I suspect they were asking for Carlson to be included and Getz balked. We’ll see if his power comes around and his trade value climbs. In one way I don’t mind prospect hugging but in another way… if they’re going to go for it this year… they should have gone further at the deadline. On a scale of 1 to 10 of deadline aggression, Getz gets a 3.4 this year… and who knows… next year this team may find itself sitting at third place in August of 27… if there’s even baseball. So many questions… so little time.
  25. You mean Schultz isn’t a legit starting pitching prospect? 😆
