And that's a gutsy White Sox winner!!

Another day without slipping on the banana peel.

Give them credit for finding ways to win.

A new season high eight games over.

However Castillo is a disaster plain and simple.

Bullpen saved their ass again tonight.

Exactly what you wanted the 1st game. Season high (finally) 8 games above .500 and 2 games knocked off the magic number !

Mune single and double and started a gorgeous 1st to home DP.

Colson also 2 hits, a single and a 3 run bomb in the 1st.

Bullpen great job especially Taylor !

Your first place Chicago White Sox packed their hot bats for the road trip and picked up a 7-4 win over the T_ins.

They (finally) set a new high water mark of 8 games over .500.

CLE (and DET) also lost, so the division lead extends to 3.5 games.

Really savvy deployment of the pen to only use 3 arms to cover 5 innings. Castillo didn't pitch well, but he outpitched Kremer and that ended up being enough. With Kremer maybe being the best arm going for MIN this series, you take a win where the Sox never trailed even if it wasn't pretty getting there.

Mune's defense was very key to this one with a pair of crucial double plays to match his pair of hits.

71 wins sets a new MLB record for a season following 3+ years of 100+ losses.

Castillo hasn't pitched well in four of his five Sox starts, that's 80%. That's a losing proposition. Maybe the Sox will get lucky and he'll retire after the season.

They need to pitch him for one inning. He's just not as good in the 2nd inning.

I don't think he pitched badly against Boston or quite frankly even against the cubs. His defense really let him down against Boston and the home run he gave up was actually on a really good pitch. Don't think he was particularly good tonight but he battled his ass off and I think was finding something in those final two innings. Would rather see a start like this than Burke's last night because he kept the pitch count low.

Release Castillo.

And sue him for breach of contract.

Things that don’t happen often that happened twice today for the Sox:

  1. Scoring a run on a wild pitch or passed ball

  2. Catcher catching a pop up behind the plate in foul territory

  3. Double play started with the 1B stepping on the bag first

MVPs tonight were Taylor and Colson. KEEP IT ROLLING BOYS!! SWEEP THE CENTRAL!!!

And Castillo - you owe us like 5 flipping starts of 1 run ball and at least a couple of playoff wins. Gotta get the starting pitching back on track.

Our best baseball is still ahead of us.

Remember when people were like, bring up the guy that can’t throw strikes? No way! Way.
