CLE (and DET) also lost, so the division lead extends to 3.5 games. Really savvy deployment of the pen to only use 3 arms to cover 5 innings. Castillo didn't pitch well, but he outpitched Kremer and that ended up being enough. With Kremer maybe being the best arm going for MIN this series, you take a win where the Sox never trailed even if it wasn't pretty getting there.Mune's defense was very key to this one with a pair of crucial double plays to match his pair of hits.71 wins sets a new MLB record for a season following 3+ years of 100+ losses.

His defense really let him down against Boston and the home run he gave up was actually on a really good pitch. Don't think he was particularly good tonight but he battled his ass off and I think was finding something in those final two innings. Would rather see a start like this than Burke's last night because he kept the pitch count low.
