QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Feb 13, 2014 -> 01:01 PM) Ah, it's the common Beer Snob, Homo Confusialis. I could s*** in a bucket and hit it with a blender, throw some hops in that, and as long as I charge $4 a bottle and put a label on it to make you feel nice and German you'd sip it with your pinky finger up and mutter at all satisfactorily at your s***ty little sweater-wearing poodle "Ahhh good show old chap" etc. etc. etc. High Life & High Life Light, Miller Lite too, are all good, honest beers at tasty prices. Go drink your s***ty turd beer & me a& wite will be outside in the bushes at 3 in the morning pelting your house with eggs & s***-filled paper bags. Good honest behavior at a tasty price. Seriously? Miller, Budweiser, Busch, pretty much all common American lagers are piss water. If you want to get drunk at a low cost with no real care for taste... Steel Reserve. Welcome Captain to the insanity known around these parts as hi8is, where all things are possible... Even vomiting stuffed carebears. In plain English, my previous post could be translated to state: Welcome to Sox talk. Glad you're here. This place can be fun. Your tendency to always sign your posts annoys me. I hope that trend dies off in time or you puts it in your signature instead. Yea, no possible way to translate that from the random stream that initially came about... But hey, you'll get it if you stick around for a decade. Until then, snails will be snails and salt will stay in the kitchen for brining poultry.- Face of MLB
QUOTE (Willard Decker @ Feb 5, 2014 -> 07:51 PM) --Captain Decker Welcome to Soxtalk Good Sir. Your little signing call overcomes my eyeballs whenever scrolling through threads now. It makes me want to smash daisy petals and vomit carebears. On another note - Do Captains poop?- Forgotten White Sox Moments
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 1, 2014 -> 10:23 AM) Thome's walk off homer vs Thornton I called that shot, turned the tv off, and read about it the next day. My dad and wife both where pretty shocked- 2013-14 off season player movement thread
QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 1, 2014 -> 09:58 AM) Am I the only one who absolutely loves this signing more and more everyday? Nope, I'm stoked on the potential Paulino brings as well. When Hanh stated he has the potential to be a solid number three to top of the rotation guy, he wasn't overstating things.- No more days until Pitchers and Catchers reports
I'm pretty pumped to see what Paulino can bring. What's the latest on his health?- No more days until Pitchers and Catchers reports
This is going by painfully slow.- So call me confused
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 29, 2014 -> 08:57 PM) Worth noting Dayan is only 24. If he was only just now getting called up, he'd be pretty age appropriate. Hopefully Steverson taps into his abilities. From top to bottom the entire system has come a long way in a short time. I'm happy and still believe that we'll see even more steps forward before March baseball begins.- Grab a SP now
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 27, 2014 -> 07:29 PM) They don't trade those guys unless they want to go. That is why Peavy wasn't moved until he basically asked in public to go. You've gotta be kidding me. Peavy was held onto until Hanh got the value he wanted. It didn't have anything to do with the player asking to be traded. Your assertion is way off base this time pal.- Grab a SP now
No more pitchers necessary at this point in the game. I'm with Hanh here. That number three pick can bring a great pitcher for 2016, maybe even 2015. Trades are still on the horizon - no doubt in my mind. We're not done yet. Edit: The last few weeks since the Davison trade actually remind me of the Peavy deal. Hanh had plenty of options but played a good game of chicken, holding out for his target type player. He's don't the same thing here when fielding calls on Kepp, DeAza, Dayan, Rameriz, Beckham, and Dunn. - No more days until Pitchers and Catchers reports
