QUOTE (Soxnfins @ Dec 19, 2017 -> 02:31 PM) Watch this somehow queue the eyeballs from WSD. He's usually not someone that just stirs the pot based on questionable sources.

QUOTE (Quin @ Dec 17, 2017 -> 06:36 PM) Oh sweet Jesus. Definitely see it there. 100% you can even see the metal box give about three inches.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 19, 2017 -> 12:57 PM) MLB Trade Rumors‏ @mlbtraderumors 38m38 minutes ago #SFGiants make their first MLB addition of the offseason, re-signing catcher Nick Hundley: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017/12/giants-sign-nick-hundley.html …://https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017...-hundley.html …://https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017...-hundley.html … I'm sure this is NOT how the Giants anticipated their offseason going

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 19, 2017 -> 11:49 AM) Martin Perez suffered broken radial head in non-pitching elbow in incident with a bull. Had surgery last week. Prolly out until May 1.

QUOTE (wrathofhahn @ Dec 18, 2017 -> 08:09 PM) I'd love to get some depth for the farm. We have a good first wave but we don't have ton of guys behind them that reckon to be ready in 2-3 years as part of a 2nd wave. Pretty much all of our top guys are 21 years or older. Robert, Rutherford, Burger, Collins, Cease, Sheets, Hansen, Dunning, and others all beg to differ.

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 18, 2017 -> 07:24 PM) I know I talk crap about Luis Roberts IG feed a lot but good lord at least we don’t have to worry about him reporting overweight. Dude is ripped. Yea, it's god awful but he's one of the most ripped 19 year old kids in the world... mercy!

QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Dec 18, 2017 -> 09:16 PM) position player(s), a mid-rotation arm, and multiple prospects. https://twitter.com/DanClarkSports/status/942979939032117248 Stupid.

QUOTE (oldsox @ Dec 18, 2017 -> 05:57 PM) QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Dec 18, 2017 -> 05:09 PM) Or they attached significant prospect compensation. Getting Buehler or Verdugo and sending back a Matt Rose or some college player who performed poorly at Great Falls would probably make the Sox interested. Who is Matt Rose? Third base prospect the Cubs sent us in the Q deal

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 18, 2017 -> 04:42 PM) I think the Miggy thread did back in '07. But that was 8 billion gallons of alcohol ago. So I could be wrong.

Well - the week ended. He wasn't traded. I'm giving up on following this circus.

Well, it's Sunday. Hope he does indeed get traded by this week's end ( aka: today )

QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Dec 16, 2017 -> 05:50 PM) I thought Jason Heyward is their long term guy? Whether they like it or not +1

We should start offering contacts in BTC - then we'll sign anyone we want, without fail!

QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 16, 2017 -> 12:32 PM) Great trade for both. Hope this means Dodgers get Bryce Harper and Kershaw to go along with all of that young talent. Good lord, yes please... maybe I'd go see a few Dodger games a year with regularity. Born and raised here in Southern California but my heart has belonged to the White Sox ever since I watched my first ball game. It must have been around '88 or something... Then when Big Frank came along, forget about it! Anyhow... yea... Dodgers... yepee... yahoooooo. Yay!

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 16, 2017 -> 01:30 PM) They just need to trade for the free agents they want to sign, show them the culture, and they are hooked.

QUOTE (Tony @ Dec 16, 2017 -> 10:02 AM) This was fun for about 30 hours. Now it’s not. Keep the faith. He'll be gone before Monday ( I hope ).... St. Louis just makes too much sense. Perhaps we get involved by adding a young cost controlled MLB guy for the Os and receive someone like Carson Kelly. /me shrug

Have a flipping week Phili

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Dec 15, 2017 -> 07:04 PM) If you expect me to go through this entire thread to find it to satisfy your curiosity then you would be wrong. You are perfectly capable of doing that yourself. Trust me you will find it but it may take a few hours. I'm not just making it up.

QUOTE (Quin @ Dec 15, 2017 -> 03:31 PM) It's risky, but the upside is three superstars with Robert in the wings. For a year.

QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Dec 15, 2017 -> 11:03 AM) Avi and Anderson. Get it done Hahn. That's bats***.

QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 15, 2017 -> 08:47 AM) Some people on here want them to be bad until their lives are over. Some people on here want to swim in an Olympic sized swimming pool filled with mashed potatoes and gravy.

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Dec 15, 2017 -> 05:59 AM) OK lets look at some facts. Manny Machado is a gold glove 3rd baseman. Manny Machado has 2 bad knees. So why would he want to switch to SS ? Answer : To maximize his value. A premier SS is worth more than a corner infielder. So why would he wait till now to want to switch to SS ? Because he knows he has 2 bad knees and playing SS for 1 year right before free agency minimizes the health risk rather than doing it for multiple years. Conclusion : No way in hell does Manny Machado not become a free agent. This is a calculated move on his part to make himself more valuable. It is a pipedream to think otherwise and would be a waste to offer anything to acquire him for a year and think he won't test free agency. After so much regurgitation, here's a nugget of something new. Thanks Ron. ( virtual fist bump )...

QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Dec 14, 2017 -> 09:32 PM) Some dude in KC is not "the baseball world". I'd like to see this team compete for a wild card next year, because that means everything is going right, but it's still easy to see a 90+ loss team in 2018 and that not necessarily reflecting poorly on the rebuild. There's a slim ass chance of that considering our bullpen... if you even want to call it that. LOL
