GAME THREAD 7/6 - SEA @ SOX
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 6, 2014 -> 02:58 PM) Their 15-105 hitting performance which should have resulted in a series sweep? It's a shame. TPSM v2.0!

When do you fire Robin?
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jul 5, 2014 -> 05:17 PM) After a 2 day hiatus, time to refresh this one. Another Robin Ventura dog and pony show. You spelled it wrong. The word includes a number, damn it!

When do you fire Robin?
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 12:27 PM) Never in million, zillion years did I ever think you'd make this much sense, but you hit the nail on the head so perfectly and astutely with this that I'm not sure it's really even you anymore. Eat twat? Oh, s***... Wait... That's a complementary ambition.

When do you fire Robin?
You fire him when he has a team that is supposed to compete and doesn't based on his performance

Oh How I Wish...
QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 24, 2014 -> 01:38 PM) Pretending to know who we would have picked or how they would have fared in our system is silly talk It's still fun to be afforded the clarity of retrospection in such a forum. Makes for creative thinking. Thou, in your case - disdane seems to have been the color of choice.

Oh How I Wish...
Your wishes have been deemed lame by the god of this thread. Literally anything is possible. "I wish we would hand drafted Randy Johnson." "I wish we would have traded a young Ken Griffey Jr. for an A ball catcher." Thus far , the Cabrera trade pieces takes the cake. Good on ya there.

Oh How I Wish...
We'd selected Trout over Mitchell in 2009 like myself and many others where hoping. Your turn. What would your FutureSox wish be if you could have one wish granted? There are no limits. Let the comedy ensue.

White Sox @ Twins
Looks like it's about time to start pining for more complete suckatude - save for a few trade candidates and core youngsters. 2015 and 2016 is when it can get real interesting. Edit: TPSM version 2.0?

Yasmani Tomas defects from Cuba
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 21, 2014 -> 08:21 PM) The Sox have the money, right? So why not start the pursuit of Tomas. Make it clear to Boras the Sox want and need him. Not like they're talking to Boras now.

2014 White Sox draft pick thread
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 20, 2014 -> 03:48 PM) It was more over the White Sox being used to inflate A-Rod contract value as a "false suitor" when there was never any intention for him to come to Chicago (which surely drove JR up a wall). They've had a few recent contacts with Boras because of Danks, Viciedo, Crede...I think Hahn on draft day mentioned a couple of other examples. Andruw Jones was another, for sure. Exact-a-mundo. Thou, didn't Danks change his agent before signing?

Jose Abreu general discussion
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jun 17, 2014 -> 09:08 PM) Dan Hayes @DanHayesCSN Jose Abreu didn't run on a wild pitch/passed ball after a 7th inning K. Robin Ventura said Abreu had been spoken to. Not concerned. What the f*** where you thinking you lazy asshole?

Sox Draft Carlos Rodon> Draft Day Discussion Thread
QUOTE (southside hitman @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 11:36 AM) Froglegs Jones Jr. (Palos Park): Do you think it's realistic to expect the White Sox to sign both Carlos Rodon and Spencer Adams? Draft Wrap Chat with Nick J. Faleris: I do; with Rodon being a better bet than Adams. Given their cap space, I see no reason why they wouldn't have room for both, and if Jarvis has in fact signed it's a good indication the Sox aren't worried about coming up with any extra money for their top two picks. In fact, drafting Jarvis in the first place was a pretty solid indication they think they are going to sign Adams and Rodon without issue. Winner winner chicken dinner.

One of the worst Sox losses I've ever witnessed
QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jun 7, 2014 -> 11:56 PM) Another f***ing brutal loss. God damn it. I really thought we had it. I'm like, 0-4 with Sox games since moving to LA and I think in all 4, they were leading at some point. This one is 100% on Ventura. Absolutely ludicrous to leave Sale out there after the double. I grew up for decades watching the Sox lose to the Angles. My dad and I seriously went to almost every white sox game in Anaheim for a twelve year stretch. It was a rarity that the Sox won. That all changed in 2005 and we'll have our time again. This was a hard loss and it can be second guessed thousands of times over... But in the end - it was what it was and my choice was to stand up, tip my cap to the other team, and know that tomorrow is another day. Game over. Go get em tomorrow with your heads held high and use this as motivation to become better. That's the only acceptable outlook in my eyes.

I was there. Sorry, but that was a bad ass game. Mage it be noted I wanted Sale out for Trout.

6/6 Games
QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 6, 2014 -> 05:53 PM) Looking like a wasted year for Erik Johnson. Bizarre how this is going for him. I've never seen anything like it - last year he was fantastic and poised. Him being this way shocked me good.
