QUOTE (Carpe Diem @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 01:53 PM) COMMON SENSE DOES! We have TRIED this for long enough. CHRIS SALE CANNOT BEAT THE AL CENTRAL. For 2+ years he has gotten hit pretty hard by EVERY team ESPECIALLY the friggin' Twins. He can net us 3-5 high ceiling prospects WITHOUT QUESTION. Despite the biased/Cubs fanboy media says, the White Sox have a very solid foundation BEFORE you factor in what Sale/Jones/Abreu/Frazier/Melky could bring in. Quintana Rodon Eaton Anderson Collins Fulmer Burdi Hansen + other prospects with real potential such as Adams, Danish, Engel, ext The White Sox could clear payroll WHILE getting a SURPLUS of elite young talent. It is a no brainer. Welcome, solid voice of reason.

Please, December... come soon. 6 plus weeks of super fun speculation ?

Poop?

QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Oct 17, 2016 -> 07:57 PM) Well the curse is broken now so...a lineup full of hall of famers couldn't win a World Series in the 90s but a team that everyone counted dead before the playoffs even started has a great opportunity to do it. That's baseball Yea man - I didn't give them a chance against Boston or Toronto but did call for them to win the AL Central this past offseason. If the Dodgers are in the World Series I'll be rooting for them - otherwise, I'll become a huge Cleveland fan for a week or two. ?

Chris Sale for a top 5 teams entire farm system. Get it done.

If the Dodgers win game 3, I wouldn't be shocked to see Kershaw go for game 4.

Chris f***ing Getz?

QUOTE (Donaldo @ Oct 12, 2016 -> 05:16 PM) If that Crain for Arrietta trade would've gone through, I wonder if Cooper would've done as well with Jake A. as Bosio has? Nobody will ever know for sure. Just one of those random thoughts that tend to cross my mind when I can't sleep. Oh man - please don't remind me ?

QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Oct 12, 2016 -> 09:26 PM) Just curious, does anyone else besides me feel like the Sox could compete next season just by unloading Quintana and Robertson for some young major league talent? Let's say...Quintana to Red Sox for Benintendi, Shaw, Groome, Kopech. And also....Roberston to Giants for Joe Panik Sox go out and sign Rich Hill and Lucroy Rotation is.... Sale Hill Rodon Gonzalez Shields/Fulmer Lineup is.... SS Anderson RF Eaton DH Abreu C Lucroy 3B Frazier LF Melky CF Benintendi 1B Shaw 2B Panik Saladino and Lawrie are your backup IF. Or maybe you even give the Giants one of those two along with Robertson until Christian Arroyo is ready to come up for them. Narvaez is your backup catcher. Nate Jones becomes your closer, and you obviously sign a couple MR in there to replace deadweights like Albers. I think that team is certainly better in 2017, even though you lost Quintana and Robertson. 1.) How would we sign Lucroy when he isn't a FA until 2018? 2.) You really think Boston would include Groome and Kopech? 3.) You really think SF would trade Panik for Robertson?

I'm crushed.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Oct 10, 2016 -> 10:12 PM) I initially bet 2k on the giants, then live bet another 2K, when they were down 3-0. Good call ?

QUOTE (Deadpool @ Oct 10, 2016 -> 09:04 PM) I'm not convinced the Cubs are winning this tonight. Good call.

Cubs / Blue Jays World Series

QUOTE (dpd9189 @ Oct 9, 2016 -> 09:20 PM) I expect Frazier to be in a different uniform on Opening Day 2017. If so then you should also expect to see Sale, Q, Abreu, and Eaton in a different uniform as well. No reason to sell off a low salary high power infielder unless you're going full rebuild. I'd find it more likely that Frazier gets extended than sold in the offseason.

What a strange f***ing game

Wonder what kinda injury Hendricks has... this could change the dynamic of the entire playoffs.

Funny Samajideziasjjjjjjjyyyyaaaaaa lasted just two innings. Bum. Come on Giants!

Giants are toast. Edit: Hendricks with a bases loaded single for 2 RBIs

QUOTE (oldsox @ Oct 8, 2016 -> 12:02 PM) What happens in December? Will Southsider then be able to accept being corrected without accusing others of having "an attitude"? Winter meetings, yo.

Is it December yet?

QUOTE (shipps @ Oct 7, 2016 -> 12:07 PM) I am going to refresh this thread every minute from now until December when some other team signs him for less than expected.

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Oct 5, 2016 -> 08:45 PM) If the Sox could pry Benintendi and Moncada I'd do that asap. Just those 2, no one else is necessary. For anyone other than Sale - hell yes... But Sale... For those two alone? I'm not so sure.

I've never seen Conor that stoked. Awesome. I'd say Goants and White Sox fans are the only people in the world who were stoked on that smash.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 5, 2016 -> 06:02 PM) Mlb replay everyone That s*** was almost impossible to call.

QUOTE (dpd9189 @ Oct 4, 2016 -> 09:01 PM) I agree, I think a rebuild is coming. After hoping for it for so long and being let down repeatedly, it's kinda like the new TOOL album: I'll believe it when I see it.
