My signature says clearly which camp I'm in ? Good article idea. ??

QUOTE (SonofaRoache @ Nov 6, 2016 -> 03:41 PM) We went the youth route a few times and that failed miserably as well. When was the last time the White Sox rebuilt?

QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Nov 6, 2016 -> 10:51 AM) https://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/redsox/2...hdSK/story.html Chicago White Sox — More than one GM has said that White Sox GM Rick Hahn is open for business on just about his entire roster. That includes Chris Sale and the rest of the rotation, Jose Abreu, third baseman Todd Frazier, and closer David Robertson. Please be true. Sell em all.

QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Nov 6, 2016 -> 02:29 AM) Sale and Rodon for Mike Trout Sale for Trout + $. Gives the angles the ace and starting pitcher they need with enough offset financially for them to still throw in money to us and sign a FA OF bat. They'd have an overall increase in WAR. We'd get the best possible solution known to man for our OF and line up, with some cash thrown in to help us sign a FA SP or pick one up in another trade which requires more salary. One can dream.

QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Nov 5, 2016 -> 07:43 PM) I saw today we're interested in Bautista and Encarnacion. Also need to find a catcher. Where'd you see that?

Oh god no MLB Trade Rumors... god no! Their offseason plan for us is basically the same "solution" we've been seeing for the past 8 years

QUOTE (Donaldo @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 05:27 PM) If you try to rebuild and contend at the same time, you will fail at both. In other words, that's EXACTLY what I expect out of this front office. Say hello to the last 4 years. They've gotta do something different this year. They've got to! Right? I mean... there gonna do something different... please tell me they'll do something different!!!

This is the most hysterically flawed plan I've EVER seen. Seriously.... EVER. http://www.southsidesox.com/2016/11/2/1349...-offseason-plan Just two of MANY hilariously bad thoughts: Sure buddy.

How cool would it be to trade Quintana to New York for Sanchez, Frazier, and Torres?

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 11:46 AM) For who? Reyes, Grichuk, Perez, and who else? A bag of Matt Adams poop.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 10:46 AM) Lets do it! I'm hoping for this as well. Really hope they get some stupid massive offers and take advantage of the weak FA market to drive prices up on trade assets. Think we try going for it again with a little more balls posing as an approach that isn't "middle of the road mired in mediocrity." Can it be December 2nd, please?

QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 08:32 AM) Also, if they do in fact tap into the FA market or make more 'middle of the road' acquisitions, because they feel 'They are close'. And their explanation for avoiding a rebuild is that "White Sox fans don't have patience for that!" I WILL FLIP MY LID! +1,000,000

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Nov 3, 2016 -> 11:37 AM) Makes sense. GM meetings are Tuesday-Thursday (even though nothing really happens during those meetings and it's more to lay the groundwork on potential deals and gauge interest). Hopefully whitesoxdave gets a few nuggets for us. Ahhhhhh. It hath begun.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 10:57 PM) Remember how the Cubs were god awful when the Sox won? In 11 years baby. We got this. That's just about the best perspective I've seen.

QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 10:39 PM) The Indians just went down to Game 7 without a catcher and an entire outfield of stiffs. The pitcher could be a problem but we would only need to get 1 game out of a Gonzalez/Shields/emerging prospect in a hypothetical World Series scenario. Cespedes would be your CF. Tilson 4th OF, Saladino super sub/DH and we could see if we can bring back Morneau on the cheap and sign a platoon catcher to pair with Narvaez and push Collins quick if he shows signs of success. If all they signed was Cespedes and Chapman - I'd still look at it as an unfinished job.

QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 10:45 PM) My good cubs friends who are Baseball fans and can discuss the White Sox with me without getting mad are telling me I know how you feel now when you won in 2005. I'm happy for those types of fans and others like David Ross. So many others thou - own a place of hate in my soul right now. f***ing Chapman ? Edit: Shauber too.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 10:45 PM) Latter. True. The raging b**** thing happens regularly where as this whole Cubs winning the World Series thing hasn't happened since 1908. ?

I'm not sure what's been worst tonight... the Cubs winning - or my ex wife being a raging b**** and beginning to text me after they won. ?

QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 10:34 PM) Pretty much where I'm at. They'd have to get Chapman and Cespedes/Encarnacion for us to have a shot at a World Series run. And we need Renteria to be better than what we got out of Ventura. If we could make the playoffs I like our chances to surprise some teams. And a catcher, and a center fielder, and another starting pitcher.

QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 12:01 PM) I am considering becomming a cubs fan, if the White sox mess up this offseason. Ewwwwww Edit: EEEEWWWWWWWWUUUUUU!

Yea. Congrats. Now, go Sox in 2017.

QUOTE (gosoxtim8 @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 09:53 PM) if the cubs wanted it more why there begin 3-1 in series where they were favorite to win it The Cubs wanted it more tonight. It was easy to see that in 80% of the gameplay.

That damned go Cubs go song pisses me off so much ?

QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 10:02 PM) Well does this force JR/KW into a rebuild or going for it mode? I'm really undecided now. I'm thinking they might panic about losing more of the fanbase and go for it again. Who f***ing knows ? Go White Sox thou, f*** it.

QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 10:00 PM) All 15k fans will get over it ?
