  1. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 11:03 PM) Pods was so overrated during the regular season last year it wasn't even funny. He scored 80 runs. Surely if he messed with pitcher's minds as much as advertised he would have scored a very average 80 runs for a leadoff guy with almost 60 steals. He actually is a better offensive player this year. i guess we didnt watch the same baseball games or the same team or the same player.
  2. did you watch any games last season? pods did do a lot to mess with pitchers last year... meat balls, wild pitches, pitchers walking people.... its not about BA as much as it is him getting in the head of the other team... he did it more often last season but has done it a little this year.
  3. and his control problems i think that if tracy can get his control down he can be a very very productive MLB pitcher... thats what has been said about him for about 2 years now.
  4. just for kicks, if we did get cameron... dont you think that he would be the full time CF'er and that BA would become the 4th?
  5. you all are like the gum found laid upon urban sidewalks. pink.
  6. speak for youself dude, im not pretty... im one ugly ass smelly mother f***er.... i mean hey.... if i cant insult anyone on here any longer, i better at least take advantage of my freedom to slam myself... what a lousey peice of crap you are hi8is! DIE!

  9. haha uhh thank you... you scally wagged plank!
  10. as long as i can say things like you scally wagged plank deck im cool. is that allowed? i mean, think about it.... a scally wagged plank deck could be a pretty good complament.... some people might get an ego boost after being called a long peice of wood.
  11. yeah, anomolies like that happen when your dealing with a small sample size.
  12. id be all for it... gload for burke... huge upgrade.
  13. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 13, 2006 -> 10:13 PM) If the Giants wanted Javy and prospects I could see this move making sense because it gives us a stud pitcher for a few months while opening up a spot in the rotation for Bmac after this year. do you think the giants would accually want that? its pretty good return but a lot of salary commitment for javy.

    Vazquez

yeah, i also seriously doubt that we give up on vazquez after a 1st half which showed good signs and bad signs.... we odviously got him for a reason and the coaching staff must see something there.... some fans see it too.
  15. QUOTE(WCSox @ Jul 11, 2006 -> 07:44 PM) I'm not sure that KW would want to deal B-Mac for a 33-year-old pitcher who is a free agent next season and will cost the Sox almost $5 million this season. I wouldn't mind him sending Vazquez over to SF, even if the Sox have to eat half of his contract, but that's probably just a pipe dream. so instead of paying 5 million and losing bmac, youd rather pay the giants about 18 million to take vazquez and give 5 million to schmidt... so.... basicly, your rather pay 23 million dollars for 3 - 4 months of hason schmidt as a white sox starter pure genious.
  16. QUOTE(quickman @ Jul 11, 2006 -> 02:16 AM) You know what, if he hits 250 from here on out, thats all that is needed. Rowand hit like 265 last year. Andersen just has to stop being an easy out. He cannot be hitting like a pitcher especially in NL parks. That would mean two players who hit less than 200 and thats a problem. If he can get it together than that would be great, problem is we are running out of time and we are in it this year. If we weren't so close it would not make a difference, but the Tigers will improve with a player or two, and so will the yanks and even teams in the west. The sox have three holes right now. Bullpen, a hitting center fielder, and starting pitching (unless these guys get there asses together) the end of the world is upon us.
  17. dont look now, but anderson is almost up to hitting .200 =P so if he hits .400 in the second half, he'll hake it to .300 hHA
  18. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jul 11, 2006 -> 12:31 AM) McCarthy did good yesterday from what I hear, but damn, you guys are on his nuts. Yesterday didn't change the fact that overall, he's been sucky this season and he has yet to show that he is good for more than a few starts in a season. Sorry for not conforming and ready to label this guy as the Messiah. how about i label you an idiot.... id do that, but it wouldnt be nice.... instead, ill resort to keeping my mouth shut.
