  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 07:32 PM) I despise all naturally skinny f***ers that have to eat that much to put on minimal weight. lol. I'm one of them. My metabolism is slowing down as I approach 30 though
  2. QUOTE (qwerty @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 07:00 PM) Brandon phillips actually stole two bases in the same play without a throw from the catcher in 2007. Me and whitesoxfan101 were talking via Facebook about Konerko's SBs last year and the hilarity that ensued. How the hell did that happen?
  3. I don't mind him being on the 25-man, really, I don't. He's earned his way here. But as an every day player, I'm fairly certain I could take a dump in CF and the logs I drop out there would be more effective at fielding.
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 05:34 PM) I said "a roster." I realized his sorry ass wasn't on the Sox anymore. Why do some get so pissed at discussion on here? It's like if you dare start a new thread you are going to be flamed. ? Who's flaming you?
  5. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 01:26 PM) Everywhere. En todos partes.
  6. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 02:27 PM) Wasting company resources! YOU ARE THE CAUSE OF THIS RECESSION.
  7. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 01:37 PM) I have no idea what this has to do with the Republican thread, but... awesome. lol, me either, but I just forwarded it to everybody at work.
  8. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 12:25 PM) I disagree. In fact, I think its been an interesting thing to note that this Congress-President party majority thing was way overblown, because Congress has wanted to do things their way, and Obama has had to follow along or oppose them on some things. I think he has a better rapport with Senate Dems.
  9. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 12:22 PM) Barney Frank isn't doing anything that the Obama Administration doesn't know about... not on a policy level, anyway. The bats*** crazy mouthy crap? I agree. Policy? No way. Obama's leading the charge there. I don't think Obama is really in lock step with the House Dems here. He keeps having to back away from them, like last week with taxing the AIG bonuses. I don't even think he and Pelosi like each other that much.
  10. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 11:16 AM) How you people can support Obama's administration with this kind of s*** is beyond me. Barney Frank = Barack Obama? Come on now Kap, molding all Democrats together into a generic archetype and including the bats*** clueless ones like Frank as part of it is just lazy.

  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 09:21 PM) On another note, did anyone here post Taibbi's response to the NYT op-ed by one of the AIG bonus guys last week? It's priceless. Getting this response is almost worth the price of a couple of those bonuses. That was great.
  14. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 09:14 PM) all it's doing is creating more problems than it's solving. you notice other countries aren't going along with this madness that Obama is subjecting our economy to. the Obama economic plan is an outright disaster. The Fed supported it too - of course that depends on your own opinion of the Fed though.
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 03:15 AM) Good post Tommy. That answers my question. Mac I'm sure will be on a short leash. He is not one of Oz's past favorites. One or two horrific outings out of the gate might be it for him. p.s. Did Boone Logan make a roster this spring? I disliked him equally. Vazquez, Logan, Swisher. All 3 guys you hate, all traded this past offseason.
  16. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 10:29 PM) This thread is just another pathetic example of ignorant doomsday Sox "fans" spending all their time projecting player failure and b****ing about management moves, but when the team wins the division those same tossers raise a glass and celebrate "Sox Pride". Enjoy the party, losers. You act like there haven't been other threads where the posters on this board are happy about a move, or a development within the organization. You don't even have to look that far. Contereas and Colon, people being optimistic about MacDougal, loving Gordon Beckham, loving Chris Getz, etc. Why should I be happy about this? I've thought about it. There is not a single reason I should be happy about this.
  17. Most recently, I met Derrick Mason (WR for the Ravens) while I was doing some charity thing fixing up this old lady's house. He was a pretty nice guy, he spent a lot of time talking to the lady, I think her name was Mrs. Robinson.
  18. QUOTE (Allsox @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 03:50 PM) This pitching staff doesn't exactly strike out guys so you need the best defense out there, especially with 3 new guys in your starting infield. I don't think Wise is Swisher bad in terms of defense but if Ozzie cherishes the glove, BA is the much better choice. Unless Wise takes undetectable 'roids, I don't see how a career minor leaguer that's 31 yrs old can suddenly morph into an everyday major league baseball player. I'm no Swisher fan, but he was really not that bad of a defender... I'm not sure where people get this from. He was adequate. Not a plus, but not a liability either.
  19. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 03:44 PM) The only thing better than reveling on our infantile "guy" behaviors is sharing them with other equally childish SoxTalkers. So true.
  20. With this roster, having Quentin lead off as a stopgap measure wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
  21. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 03:23 PM) dweezy has flashed a pretty good arm this spring. He's not BA, but that's a good thing when he's got a bat in his hand. His stats and peripherals look similar to BA's actually. Except without the ceiling.
  22. I just tossed a highlighter at a co-worker just joking around, it hit her so she bent over to pick it up and throw it back at me. I saw down her shirt. Totally sweet.
  23. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 02:12 PM) For the very reason that I like to know, first hand, what the other side said/did. For the very reason that article was written. Besides, Olbermann rules (when played by Ben Affleck) : http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/vid...bermann/805561/ That skit makes me LMAO. lol, that skit was just so dead-on. Nobody does completely random self-righteous indignation like Keith Olbermann.
