I am retro NFL fan. Old school Tampa Bay was pretty good cuz who uses orange as the dominant color. Best was helmet of old school Patriots circa Super Bowl XX. The dude bending over hiking a ball. Classic. Currently the way the Jets went retro a couple years back is pretty nice.

I think the Sox winning 10 straight would be lucky to get the same coverage the Cubs got on their recent 3 game winning streak.

DJ remarked Jose and Tony have been playing inspired defense since the acquisition of Alomar. I didn't believe it til I saw it but I think Roberto really makes other infielders better. He just has that effect on them. Alomar pitched in himself with a nice play on an earlier Delgado groundout.

Why can't we just tell Olivo to bunt like it is a basehit? I think he's laid down a couple of bunts this year for basehits and attempts to do it once in a while. DJ was talking about how its alot easier to time a bunt if you do it that way instead of square around early. These guys gotta make some adjustments like that instead of keep doing the same things over and over that don't work.

He's hurt us big time in late inning pressure situations. I just don't understand why Manuel won't pinch-hit or pinch-bunt for him. Contrary to popular belief, he doesn't have to learn to bunt the hard way and kill this team in the process. Oh yeah, and I foresee in Carl Crawford's future...an At Bat against Billy Koch.

Vernon Wells has unbelievable power. He hit that one to right center and I didn't think it was hit that hard but it makes it to the track. Let that be the last time we have to pitch to him this year.
