White was warming, my question is wtf is Glover? Does he even show up to the ballpark anymore?
-
Abercrombie, i dunno why i think its funny some player named abercrombie. He should go to cleveland with coco crisp and milton bradley.

So if Lebron is a ho or worse, wtf does that exactly make Hinrich?

I hope at the end of the season we all say stuff like "this team could have won 100 games" and instead they only win 92 or so but take the division anyways. I don't like how we lead the league in losses when leading after 7 innings.

I read the AL Central updates on this site from time to time and I have to say that he has no idea what it means to be an All Star.

Homer Dome Ownage (Twins YNOT Results)
DonkeyKongerko replied to DonkeyKongerko's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Yeah the first one I made had 32 by accident so I am just making them all 32 points every series. The won-loss record will decide who wins this contest at the end of the season. If we have a tie then I will look at points per game. -

The past week has seen two teams beat up on the helpless Cubs and Twins: Our beloved Pale Hose and the Milwaukee Brewers. The rivalry series continues this weekend with the perennial pretenders visiting the resurgent Sox at the Cell. Will revenge be had or will yet more bragging rights be won by the better baseball fans? 1) Who will win the series (CHW/CHC) (2 points)? 2) Will Glover make an appearance (Y/N) (2 points)? 3) How many errors will the Sox make (4 points)? 4) Who will lead the Sox in total hits (4 points)? 5) How many batters will Damaso Marte face (5 points)? 6) How many extra-base hits will Joe Crede have (5 points)? 7) How many games out of first will the Sox be after the series (4 points)? 8) Who will have more RBIs: Olivo or Lee (2 points)? 9) Will Corky get to do the hop (regardless of where the ball goes) (Y/N) (2 points)? 10) Will the Sox reach 10 hits in any one game (Y/N) (2 points)? Tiebreaker: How many pitches will Colon throw?

Wow. Theres not much to say here. A very impressive showing although a disappointing lost in game 2 of the series this time. Two near sweeps since the inception of this contest. Here are the answers: 1) Who will win the series (CHW/MIN) (2 points)? CHW 2) Who will have the most plate appearances, Rios, Rowand, or Harris (2 points)? Harris 3) How many errors will the Sox make (4 points)? 2 4) Which Sox player will ground into the most double plays (4 points)? Nobody.. 5) How many hit batsmen will there be on both teams for the series (5 points)? Zero 6) How many total runs will the bullpen allow (5 points)? 1 7) Who will lead the Sox in doubles (4 points)? Brian Daubach, Miguel Olivo, Carlos Lee, D'Angelo Jimenez, or Jose Valentin 8) Will Harris steal a base (Y/N) (2 points)? No 9) Which starting outfield will hit more homeruns (CHW/MIN) (2 points)? MIN 10) Will anyone be ejected by an umpire (Y/N) (2 points)? No Tiebreaker: How many total baserunners will Loaiza allow? 7 And here are the results with one very big winner: THE WINNER: Soxheads 23 (+2) (1 win, 0 losses) THE REST: MartePartay 14 (0) TheBigHurtBEGOOD 13 (-1) theoldroman 12 (-1) (0 wins, 1 loss) Texsox 12 (+3) southsider2k3 10 (+1) Winning Ugly 8 (-1) cwsox 6 (0) abozichiu 6 (+1) whitesox247 6 (+2) Chisoxfn 4 (0) THE LOSER: sideshowapu 4 (+2) (1 win, 1 loss) Some good road cooking, lets see if the Sox can bring it on home. Cubs II YNOT should be up tonight sometime so stay tuned.

Why does this make so much sense? Also have we scored any runs off good bullpen pitchers? Like SF, Cubs, Minny, Oakland, or Seattle?
-
If I were managing, the bench wouldnt be big enough for all the players who have made dumb mistakes this year.
-
Glover is a lost cause: He can't start, he can't close, he can't pitch in tight ballgames but he dominates in mop up roles. What good is that really if you are losing already? Rick White is my sleeper pick for 2nd half 2003.
-
That sounds like a nightmare against slow, right-handed, longball-dependent teams.
-
AJ has always been a dirty scrappy player. I like guys like that if they're on my team but otherwise theyre just the next John Starks. Frank would squash AJ like a bug. Also JG is pitching today, maybe he will "lose control of one" with this little chickens*** at the plate.

I would say this team definitely has the most consistent rotation in the AL Central. Whether that will win us this division or not remains to be seen. It should go a long way though. And how about the job Don Cooper has done. Seriously this guy took over a group of young starters who were failing to find consistency every year except Buehrle. I have to say he has done some number with Jon Garland and I think Danny late 2002 and times this year has shown improvement.

I think we have milked the Jose Cow for all he is worth. Did anyone really expect much out of him in 2000?
-
Just want to say it's been a while, 8 games since we have won a game at this god-forsaken building. Pray we do not have to see another such stretch. Better yet let's even the score Sox and win 7 more. Wow I am so high on the Sox right now Must stay focused.

Not to mention haven't all of E-Lo's starts been quality except 1? 2 maybe?

I see Pujols as a legitimate triple crown threat, especially once a certain juicer retires.
