QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 24, 2010 -> 02:56 PM) How could I create a work around to watch this game using mlb.tv? Anyone know what kind of proxy would work? Anyway you can point your IP to show its in Europe? Pretty sure being across the ocean blackouts don't apply..

Anyone have any luck finding this online somewhere for us out of town/out of country folks?

I don't think the problem is Ozzie not being smart, but he is definitely too loyal. He won't take ABs from Andruw and mostly from Kotsay because that would mean Mark is not needed on this team. Ozzie won't admit that.

I know Garfien may not be a Baseball expert but I liked this piece on Bobby: http://www.csnchicago.com/07/23/10/Sox-Dra...&feedID=661

Last time Bobby had a meltdown, very early in the season, Sox were gonna go with 'committee' and Bobby was back out there again. I agree with Chisoxfn.

QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Jul 21, 2010 -> 05:16 PM) Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports reports that the Tigers, Braves and White Sox have also expressed interest in Jose Bautista. The major league home run leader has also drawn interest from the Giants and other teams could join in as the July 31 trade deadline nears. Bautista has launched 26 dingers and collected 64 RBI this season, but his .238 batting average and .354 on-base percentage are rather uninspiring. Still, he would be a nice addition to any contending club Per Rotoworld. OBP is fine, average not so much.

http://www.csnchicago.com/07/21/10/Sox-Dra...&feedID=661 ^ Latest Sox Drawer from Chuck Garfien , all about Beckham, we can find out "Outfield" is back to some extent and how some older fan 'fixed' Becks by writing him a letter. Good read.

Olney tweets Sox would have to give up Gordon to acquire Fielder. I like Fielder but I don't think Kenny would pull the trigger on the trade with some of the names being mentioned. I think it's a play for Dunn/Rizzo to make up his mind.

Now whatever kool aid it is that Alexei is sipping, can we give some to Mark Teahen? I mean Alexei wasn't perceived to be the sharpest tool in the shed and clearly he is making great progress, without a doubt one of the best SS around right now. Can we hope Omar can rub off on Mark so he can become an average 3B?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 20, 2010 -> 08:45 AM) And yet, Nix has been a better than solid bat in Cleveland's lineup. I guess those who said Nix would be fine given consistent playing time at his position (2B), were right. We have Gordon Beckham that's it.

Does Kenny dare to consider making this trade?
justBLAZE replied to hawksox13's topic in Pale Hose Talk
People need to understand the trade was great, the extension was a bit rushed and looking bad now. Can this change? Yes, I still think Mark can produce. -
How can you not like the kid!

QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Jul 20, 2010 -> 03:17 AM) I didn't see the game last night as it started at 4 AM my time, however, I assume Kotsay with his 0 for 4 had a few 3 hoppers to second base? Why is he batting in the 6 hole? GB couldn't hit a thing until 2 weeks ago and is already hitting 14 pts higher than him. This is really a joke, the only reason to keep him at #9 is if we're superstitious and think the kid has no mettle which we all know isn't true According to the press Kenny has made an offer to Washington for Adam Dunn offering everything we have in the minors including Dan Hudson. I think he believes the production from left side that Dunn brings to the table will be greater than pitching provided by Daniel. If that happens all sings point to Kotsay being the odd man out. On the other hand I wouldn't be surprised of trade made totally somewhere else and us not seeing it coming, more Kenny style.

Great all around win. Tigers lose 6 in a row and now Detroit has their own third baseman problem with Brandon Inge out up to 6 weeks with a fractured hand.

QUOTE (G&T @ Jul 19, 2010 -> 10:45 AM) Was discussed on the White Sox post game show. Have you ever heard the callers on the post game show? Greg said it was discussed on the Royals post game show, now does it add any credibility? I dont know.

White Sox at Twins 7-18 game thread 1:05 first pitch
justBLAZE replied to southsider2k5's topic in 2010 Season in Review
QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 04:35 PM) You're right. The season is over. The Twins gained 3 games worth of ground. Yep. Now that I think about it, the Sox now go to Seattle, and even though they've lost 4 straight, they're still a juggernaut. Why? Because Rios blows c***, Jenks swallows, and Santos is a rookie. Totally. Haven't seen you around here in a while, welcome back.
