QUOTE (Springfield SoxFan @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 07:04 AM) If Hudson gets traded today, who pitches tonight? Who pitches for rest of the season ?
-
QUOTE (Frank_Thomas35 @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 08:06 AM) True but it shows that this deal is very very realistic with national guys and our guys reporting the same. What are national guys saying? Even if Jackson is used to acquire Dunn, who is our SP for the rest of the season with Hudson going to AZ?

"Not only are the Sox now hot on the trail for pitcher E. Jackson, but hearing from people that it could be going down by this morning. Team not only wants to add to a rotation that has been on a roll, but it would solidify them for next season in case Peavy isn't ready. Jackson is signed through 2011 and is set to make $8.3 million and change next year." from Cowley

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 01:04 AM) I'm pretty sure the second that Guillen gets traded, they'll be calling up Kila. They've got Kila, Gordon, and Moustakas sitting in the minors raping ass right now. Didn't Gordon get called up when DeJesus went on DL ?
-
IIRC it was something with his wife, but no, they haven't revealed details.

Next 40 hours or so will be intense.
-
I voted yes, as long as the team will be in the race till the end.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 29, 2010 -> 04:46 PM) Was just saying it would have been funny if the Hebrew Hammer got traded for Tejada. That would be a plain robbery on the Brewers ;>

More Buster Olney: Heard this: The White Sox are saying internally that they are currently out of the mix on Dunn
-
Didn't look at the number but Abreu just might be Carlos Quentin BAD defensively, he's like Dye out there.

"There are 48 hours to go before the trade deadline and it remains to be seen if the Nationals will dig in and make an attempt to sign Adam Dunn. If they don't, they'd have two choices -- either keep him through the end of the year, which really wouldn't make any sense, or try to trade him. The White Sox have been aggressive, but are not well-armed to go after him. You wonder if the teams most motivated to get him will, in the end, be the Rays and the Yankees -- not only to land him for themselves, but to keep him out of the hands of their division rival. Imagine Dunn hitting 5th for the Rays, or second for the Yankees. The Nationals say they're not engaged with the NYY at the moment, but the NYY seem to be hovering --as are the Rays." Buster freaking Olney.

The only way I see Lilly coming here is if Hudson is moved for a bat. Give me Lilly over Torres.
-
Does anyone else see Angels going after Dunn since D Lee rejected the trade?

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 28, 2010 -> 08:11 AM) BTW, looks like we'll miss Verlander in Detroit next week! Is it a double header on the 4th or 4 game series starting the 3rd ?
-
Hell I remember when some of us here wanted Smoak over Beckham in the 08 draft. Even recently when Gordon really struggled I remember someone saying we should have taken Smoak.
-
I assume you guys are fine with Carlos Torres being our SP for the remainder of the season?
-
Does anyone else think Kenny makes/doesn't make a move based on moves made/lack of by Tigers/Twins ?

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 26, 2010 -> 03:32 PM) ...if given the starting job out of Spring next year, I would imagine he'd probably put up something like .220/.300/.425 with close to 20 homers. Hell that's AJ like (this year) with more power.
-
AJ is going to be on 'The Rome is Burning'. Not sure when. PS. Sqwert 5 more days.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 26, 2010 -> 03:11 PM) That's cause he's been terrible this year. Go look at his projections last year. Well if he can't make the transition to AAA how is he suppose to hit ML pitching? I wish him well, I'm just saddened by the likes of him and JorDanks, both were suppose to be stars.

0.186/0.280/0.349/0.629 Your starting catcher of the future

Rosenthal pretty much shutting down the 3 way trade.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 26, 2010 -> 02:19 PM) De Aza vs RHP in AAA - .308/.401/.451/.852 Gartrell vs LHP in AAA - .302/.380/.552/.932 and their major league equivalent (according to minor league splits) De Aza vs RHP - .255/.338/.380/.718 Gartrell vs LHP - .255/.324/.429/.753 I could see them outproducing those numbers, but it's not an upgrade by any stretch of the imagination. Would you mind to share a website or forumula you used to do this?

QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jul 26, 2010 -> 01:28 PM) Per Rotoworld Didn't see this posted anywhere. Looks like we'll be seeing him in the ninth again. This shouldn't come as a surprise, exactly what happened earlier in the season. Hate it or love it Bobby is our closer.

To some of you experts, how does Hudson compare vs. Clayton Richard? Remember when Clayton hit a bad stretch and he would get shelled second time around (or third?) vs any lineup, everyone wanted him out of town. This year I remember some of you wanting to personally drive Jake Peavy to SD and bring back Clayton Richard! Hudson will be fine, we need him and Freddy to be a damn good 4-5. Pleasy Kenny get us a big bat and let's win this division.
