QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 4, 2012 -> 09:31 PM) The Bulls just don't lose to teams they shouldn't. They don't have a "bad" loss all year. Gotta give 'em props. Golden State. But that was early. -

QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Feb 2, 2012 -> 09:07 PM) I thought he was added to the 40 after he was signed. Isn't that a major league deal? Maybe I'm mistaken. According to news reports at the time, you are correct. -

Korver squirting out that loose ball after Noah's two blocks was pretty infuriating. -

The extraneous "so to speak" bothers me. CSN Chicago surely has a copy editor look over these things, so to speak.

You never see fat defensive backs in the NFL. It's not like baseball and basketball where you find fat players at speed positions (SS, CF, PG). I guess that's a product of non-guaranteed contracts. -

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jan 15, 2012 -> 04:35 PM) No, not really. Marginally, maybe. And I wish everyone would just get over him, Olsen is an average one-dimensional TE that won't be that hard to replace. a. Davis's blocking both in passing and running was better b. Davis and Olsen both had 5 TDs, in half as many yards and 1/3 the number of receptions c. It's pretty easy to replace 540 yards of offense with an actual receiver. Those guys are a dime a dozen. Except on the Bears where they think Roy Williams is going to get 70-80 catches and start him. Well, Olsen had a better year in his last non-Martz campaign. Regardless, tight ends are a major piece in current passing schemes--not icing on the cake. -

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jan 15, 2012 -> 10:48 AM) I honestly don't understand Bears fans' fascination with a pass-catching tight end. First off we have ONE GUY who can reliably catch, that's the real problem, not the lack of a TE. All of the TEs people like to name that they wish the Bears had have multiple other receiving options, save the 49ers who have a s*** offense that I wouldn't want to copy. Going out and getting Gronkowski with the horses*** WR corps the Bears have had isn't going to make it an elite offense. However if they were to get, say, Bowe, Manningham (or Floyd in the draft), then have Bennett, a fully-healthy Knox, and Hester being utilized properly in that order, but still with Davis and Spaeth at TE, now we're talking a top 10 offense. A TE adds efficiency to an already-functional offense, but it's not going to make a dysfunctional one work. Misplaced priorities. This is like getting a fresh paint job on your car that you don't need. The f*** are you worried about the paint job for when your transmission is shot to s***? Well, would they have been better this year with Greg Olsen? -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 14, 2012 -> 08:23 PM) If a player is willing to go this far, then a big number of players on the team feel a lot more strongly than that. What Peavy said is a fact (Ozzie quit with one year and two games left on his contract). It seems like it would be the standard comeback to any accusations by Ozzie that anyone quit. I think Peavy has tried very hard to pitch well for the Sox. He has backed up his talk with effort, but his body has not held up and thus he has not gotten the results on the field. He seems understandably frustrated by this. In his frustration, he has sometimes blamed the coaching staff for setbacks. I don't really think he is trying to win over anyone with most recent comments--just saying what he thinks.

Boozer was passed to a few feet from the basket and his first move was to look for someone to pass it to. Luckily he found Rose, but why didn't he take a shot? -

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 7, 2012 -> 08:58 PM) I'm sure there's some way to spin it...his ERA before the last 3-5 outing was 3.21 or something like that, whatever the numbers are. Everyone here said that the low ERA was bound to go up because his peripherals were horrible. And they were right!

QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Jan 5, 2012 -> 09:34 PM) Game one: 6 minutes, 1/2 FG, 2 rebounds, 2 points Game two: 1 minute, no stats logged Game three: 1 minute, 2/2 FT, 1 rebound, 1 block With his usage rate, it apparently works out to a PER of 37.27. Which puts him a tick higher than LeBron James as of today. #FunWithSmallSampleSizes Game four: 12 minutes, 3-3 FG, 6-6 FT, 3 REB. PER is now 48.68. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 09:37 PM) If you didn't watch most of it, then you can't fully grasp the fact the Bulls had no business winning this game. That said, good teams win games they shouldn't. Well, I turned it off for a reason.
