I hope Flowers is ok. Fields 3 for 3 so far. He is hot. He has creamed AAA pitching before, so this is what he should be doing if he's healthy and has a good strategy at the plate. In his first start for Boston BA misplayed a ball which led to an Elvis Andrus triple. He seemed to think that Ellsbury called him off--similar miscommunication to what's been going on in the White Sox outfield since Rios got here.

How common is it for players not to wear cups? Is it more common for acrobatic defenders? Anyone remember Hawk's fascination with Ray Durham's cup, or am I misremembering things?
