  1. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jun 13, 2009 -> 03:35 PM) Wow we are actually scoring some runs Yes and off of a pitcher they haven't faced before.
  2. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Jun 13, 2009 -> 03:32 PM) For those not watching it was a blooper that was purely muscled out there. We'll take it. Yes, and Cameron faked a throw home and held on to the ball too long allowing Beckham to take second. Not sure what he was thinking.
  3. He said he didn't like to work out in that goofy college video. Heh.
  4. Mark Reynolds is 4-4 with 3 doubles, 1 HR, 5 RBI and a stolen base. I was surprised that the hometown crowd did not clamor for a curtain call after his fourth hit (the homerun).
  5. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Jun 12, 2009 -> 09:38 PM) Poreda being a 1.5 pitch pitcher throwing 92-94, he won't be very successful at this level He hasn't pitched in a while. Who knows. Plus, he already got one out on his breaking ball.
  6. I'm totally calling dibs on the chicken guy as avatar. Poreda is supposed to be in the mid-90s, touching high 90's I thought.
  7. Fields snags a foul over the rail in the Brewer dugout. He has looked good at first from what I've seen.
  8. Podsednik goes on a dropped ball, is safe, then pops off the bag and is called out.
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 11, 2009 -> 09:12 AM) He had no problem joining Chip Caray in a "HE GONE!" when the Cubs beat the Sox years back. I was ready to f***ing murder someone. He's older now and wears more makeup. He doesn't have time for such shenanigans.
  10. Stoney is too dignified to get in on that type of homerun call.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 09:20 PM) No way in hell you let Fields face Verlander. What's the alternative?
  12. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 09:15 PM) Well his batting average is .250, but of course when he leans into one it'll leave the premises, but I think Konerko is a much smarter hitter than Thome is, more selective that's for sure Thome has been better as of late though, I think his last week or so he's hitting over .300 Konerko and Thome have the same career batting average--and Thome is on the declining portion of his career. Unless he forgot something I figure he is a pretty wise hitter.
  13. You don't think Jim Thome has a moderate baseball IQ when swinging the bat?
  14. BA with the sacrifice bunt. Not a fan of that call, but oh well.
  15. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 10, 2009 -> 08:53 PM) Well to be fair, not stealing means we need an extra-base hit by Getz (not likely) or two hits in a row (also not likely) or a Getz walk and a hit (unlikely as well). So the SB makes only one hit necessary. BA is 4-9 with a walk v. Verlander in his career. If Getz had reached a hit wouldn't be out of the question by any means. Plus that means they are further from the top of the order with the last two innings coming up.
  16. Wait, what? Are you responding to the post you quoted? Did you...did you post in the wrong thread? Edit: responding to 2 posts up.
  17. The reports were that Buddy Bell said that Wise could help the team more than Jerry Owens in 2008. That proved true, in my opinion. Wise is no longer competing for a spot with Jerry Owens, however.
  18. QUOTE (Jim Spencer @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 10:07 PM) is Josh going to play 1st if we go to extras? He should. He's the backup 1b and is already in the game.
  19. QUOTE (joejoedairy @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:55 PM) it happens when the guy walks the first 3 and you're trying to win I am 90% sure the Sox would've left Bobby in in the same situation. Not sure what that means.
  20. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 09:56 PM) Marlins. Who cares? Get Gloaded. I was just following the motif.
  21. Is Rodney injured? It's not often you see a closer taken out in the 9th when it's still a save situation.
