  1. Ok, I'm going to take a shower and then get ready to go to the Sox game tonight. Someone will have to take over duties posting draftees and twitter accounts for me.
  2. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 03:01 PM) Oooo like what I'm reading here. Don't see anything on defense/athleticism but seeing great bat speed and raw power. Mayo said he will probably have to move to 3B where he should be a plus defender.
  3. White Sox select with their 6th RD pick... SS Luis Curbelo, Cocoa HS, Florida - @luisc1123
  4. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 02:03 PM) I think I read somewhere he grew up a Marlins fan. You're right, he did say he grew up a Marlins fan, but he doesn't follow a single Marlins player, not even Jose Fernandez or Stanton. I'm guessing he switched at some point.
  5. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 01:59 PM) I'm starting to wonder if Alec Hansen is more expensive than we thought. In Alec Hansen's interview I posted last night, he said he already decided he isn't going back to school. So he kind of already showed his hand.
  6. Mayo said he's pretty average across the board. Nothing exciting, maybe an underslot target?
  7. White Sox select with their 5th RD pick.... RHP Jimmy Lambert, Fresno St. U - @JimmyLambert12
  8. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 01:49 PM) Glines was an 11th round pick with no power, not really the same as these guys drafted higher. Well then we will see if by our 10th RD pick (where Glines was taken), that player has a positive BB/K ratio as well.
  9. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 01:31 PM) Each hitter selected has had a fantastic BB/K ratio. Very different than years past. Is it though? 2015 saw Schroeder (71 K to 67 BB), Glines (93 K to 100 BB) as our 1st two college hitters draft. Zavala and Sullivan were next, and they both struck out a lot more than BB, but I think most top college hitters will end up with close to even BB/K rates or better.
  10. Here is a fact that will cause irrational fans to freak out/hate him....... based off of who he follows on twitter, he appears to be a Cubs fan, just like Zack Burdi. He follows about 6 or 7 different Cubs players.
  11. QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 01:13 PM) New report says no deal in place. Original reporter retracted his report. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/06/whit...ck-collins.html That could be to avoid someone getting in trouble since he isn't even eligible to be signed yet.
  12. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 01:20 PM) I am a little surprised that in a draft weak on college talent and high on high school that the white sox are going 100% on college player.s When those statements are made, I'm told they are typically only referring to the top-end or 1st RD talent. Once you get past those spots, it all tends to even out.
  13. Callis said that Fisher is one of the best college bats in the draft. Mayo said he loves the Sox getting a lefty hitter like him in the 4th. So they seem to both like it.
  14. White Sox select with their 4th RD pick.... OF Jameson Fisher, SE Louisiana University - @_Fish23
  15. And there goes Funkhouser too....man, so close for both of those players.
  16. PS: I WENT TO BALL STATE!!! I'm freaking out a bit right now.
  17. White Sox select OF Alex Call, Ball State University, @ACAD_27
  18. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 12:22 AM) Confident of both or Rollins being DFAd? Hmmm Could be fun times with the Royals coming in. I think Anderson would do fine hitting 9th, just not sure about the defense Well I presume he is mostly referring to Anderson call-up, which would have to mean a Rollins DFA.
  19. whitesoxdave ‏@barstoolWSD 5m5 minutes ago Chicago, IL Waiting on confirmation of Anderson getting the call and Rollins being DFAd whitesoxdave ‏@barstoolWSD 4m4 minutes ago Chicago, IL That said, I feel confident it will be announced tomorrow. Not a guarantee
