Cubs likely saved a ton of money with their 1st RD pick, I wonder if they go with a HS kid with this kid. Did they save enough to go for Jack Leiter? And can they use their prestige to woo him? Maybe another highly ranked HS kids that's a very tough sign instead.

Damn, there goes Drew Mendoza.- ***Day 2 MLB Draft Thread Rounds 3-10***
Yeah, draft IDs make it easier for them to pull up in the system over the phone so they don't have to ask "How do you spell that?"- Automobile Thread
That's apparently what it is in Indiana too, based on MSRP. And being that my car is over $42,500, I am put in the very highest bracket.- ***Day 2 MLB Draft Thread Rounds 3-10***
According to his twitter, he prefers to go by Drew.- ***Day 2 MLB Draft Thread Rounds 3-10***

With the 81st overall pick in the 3rd RD, the White Sox select RHP Andrew Dalquist (HS)- ***Day 2 MLB Draft Thread Rounds 3-10***
Calis says 2B Will Holland of Auburn would be a great pick in the 3rd RD. 1st RD talent who underperformed.- ***Day 2 MLB Draft Thread Rounds 3-10***
3B Drew Mendoza, C Drew Milas, CF Jordan Brewer, or SP Graeme Stinson. One of those guys for me.- Rumor: Cease will be called up "very soon"
Assuming Cease is scheduled to pitch on Tuesday the 4th, his next days would be the 9th and the 14th. Pitching on the 9th would be Giolito's spot. So that wouldn't make sense. Pitching on the 10th would be Lopez, and pitching on the 11th would be Manny, who Cease would be most likely to replace. But then again, the Sox have 3 off days over the course of a 10 day period. So they could really move the rotation around almost any way they want it. All of this is to say that I have tickets for June 10th and 15th, so they better not fuck this up for me. The Sox are home the 10th-16th. So if it's actually soon, it's that week. I doubt he debuts on the road, the Sox have been very good about rewarding us fans with debuts.- Automobile Thread
Someone asked me how much the registration will cost on the car, and being someone who has never bought a car before, and always had old cars, I shrugged my shoulders. She laughed and said "Okay, have fun with that!". Got curious and looked up registration on the car. Holy shiiiiiiiit. Looks like it will be about $700 for the first year. Then like $460 the following year, and dropping about $50 a year every year after that. Oh my fuck. Then there is also the $150 EV additional tax. I guess what I don't understand is, why do I have to pay such a crazy high price for a newer, high priced car? What difference does it make? They aren't offering my insurance on the car. They aren't protecting it in any way. So what does the value and age of it matter for registering the vehicle with the state of Indiana?- ***Day 1 MLB Draft Thread***
Reds take Rece Hinds- ***Day 1 MLB Draft Thread***
FG had Thompson as #86. "Super smooth prep righty with solid average breaking stuff."- ***Day 1 MLB Draft Thread***
Callis says Thompson is a 1st RD talent who had an inconsistent spring.- ***Day 1 MLB Draft Thread***

Ooooh, I forgot about Hinds. Isn't that the dude with monster power? FG has him at #89.- ***Day 1 MLB Draft Thread***
I'm thinking OF Kyle Stowers at #45.- ***Day 1 MLB Draft Thread***

Son of a b****. Both guys I targeted and followed for 2 months for the Sox at #45, Hoese and Jameson, both whom at the time were considered 50+ overall picks, are both taken in the top #33 picks. Damn! Damn! Damn!- 2019 MLB draft thread
Funny, I just visited Portland on Tuesday. My girlfriend and I went to Boston for vacation for the week, but we used Tuesday, before my friends arrived on Wednesday, to drive up to Portland, Maine for the day. It was 45 and rainy all day, but it was a cute little city. My girlfriend loved that entire New England area of Boston, Salem, and Portland.- Automobile Thread
