  1. 3B Drew Mendoza, C Drew Milas, CF Jordan Brewer, or SP Graeme Stinson. One of those guys for me.
  2. Assuming Cease is scheduled to pitch on Tuesday the 4th, his next days would be the 9th and the 14th. Pitching on the 9th would be Giolito's spot. So that wouldn't make sense. Pitching on the 10th would be Lopez, and pitching on the 11th would be Manny, who Cease would be most likely to replace. But then again, the Sox have 3 off days over the course of a 10 day period. So they could really move the rotation around almost any way they want it. All of this is to say that I have tickets for June 10th and 15th, so they better not fuck this up for me. The Sox are home the 10th-16th. So if it's actually soon, it's that week. I doubt he debuts on the road, the Sox have been very good about rewarding us fans with debuts.
  3. Someone asked me how much the registration will cost on the car, and being someone who has never bought a car before, and always had old cars, I shrugged my shoulders. She laughed and said "Okay, have fun with that!". Got curious and looked up registration on the car. Holy shiiiiiiiit. Looks like it will be about $700 for the first year. Then like $460 the following year, and dropping about $50 a year every year after that. Oh my fuck. Then there is also the $150 EV additional tax. I guess what I don't understand is, why do I have to pay such a crazy high price for a newer, high priced car? What difference does it make? They aren't offering my insurance on the car. They aren't protecting it in any way. So what does the value and age of it matter for registering the vehicle with the state of Indiana?
  4. FG had Thompson as #86. "Super smooth prep righty with solid average breaking stuff."
  5. Callis says Thompson is a 1st RD talent who had an inconsistent spring.
  6. With the 45th overall pick, the Chicago White Sox select P Matthew Thompson (HS)
  7. SS Kyren Paris appears to be one of the youngest player in the draft. He's 17 1/2 years old. FG has him at #39.
  8. Ooooh, I forgot about Hinds. Isn't that the dude with monster power? FG has him at #89.
  9. FG has the best available players as..... RHP Matthew Allan (HS) - Very hard sign 3B Tyler Callihan (HS) SS Matthew Lugo (HS) SS Nasim Nunez (HS) RF Kyle Stowers RHP Jack Leiter (HS) - Very hard sign SS Brooks Lee (HS)
  10. Son of a b****. Both guys I targeted and followed for 2 months for the Sox at #45, Hoese and Jameson, both whom at the time were considered 50+ overall picks, are both taken in the top #33 picks. Damn! Damn! Damn!
  11. Funny, I just visited Portland on Tuesday. My girlfriend and I went to Boston for vacation for the week, but we used Tuesday, before my friends arrived on Wednesday, to drive up to Portland, Maine for the day. It was 45 and rainy all day, but it was a cute little city. My girlfriend loved that entire New England area of Boston, Salem, and Portland.
  12. Saving public healthcare dollars = sin tax? Huh?
  13. Long Range, Rear Wheel Drive Model 3 has been ordered. Here we gooooooo.
  14. Yeah....or they just played the best team in baseball?
  15. I use the site daily, but almost exclusively for minor league talk and during the offseason just to read about rumors. Unfortunately the gross negativity is seeping in to the minor league threads now too and certain members have a melt down every time Madrigal goes hitless.
  16. Does anyone realize the Twins are really damn good? They have the best record in baseball. They have the best run differential by a lot. They are 9-1 in their last 10 games. This team got their dick kicked in by the best team in baseball, not the Marlins. It's going to be ok.
  17. A faster DJ LeMahieu is what I've been saying since the draft. In his prime that's about 30+ doubles, 5+ 3B, 25+ SB, about 10 HR with gold glove defense and a .310+ average. Probably about a 3-4 WAR guy.
  18. Only if he beats out TA7 for the spot.
  19. Cease - 6IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 4 BB, 7 K Collins - 1/3, BB Robert - 1/4 Lambert - 4 1/3 IP, 7 H, 6 ER, 3 BB, 5 K Hansen - 1 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 K Madrigal - 0/2, 3 BB, 3 SB
  20. 4 ER in 6 IP with 10 K. Certainly not great, but nothing to be worried about, especially with the 10Ks. He has now set a Ball State single-season K record previously held by Bryan Bullington, the former #1 overall pick of the 2002 MLB draft. 146 Ks in 91 IP. That puts him #2 in the nation.
