Engel has plus-plus speed and plays excellent defense in center field. He is a leadoff type of hitter who relies on making contact with his line-drive swing. However, Engel has struggled at the plate for almost a full year. He hit just .229 in the Cape Cod League last summer and hasn't improved much back at Louisville this season.
