QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 14, 2013 -> 08:13 PM) http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20130614 Hawkins--the good outcome of his two outcomes. And a walk!

After starting the year 0-3, we have won 4 straight now, including tonight's victory over the only undefeated team, who was 6-0 on the year. They had beaten every team by 12 or more, some by 20+. We won 12-11 somehow, it was amazing. Then in Game 2 we won 33-7, first time we ever scored over 20 I think. We batted around in consecutive innings, getting like 12 straight hits at one point. It was so odd for us. It's amazing how much 2 nice bats can change a whole team around. -

QUOTE (TRU @ Jun 13, 2013 -> 06:27 PM) That game has zero appeal to me Agreed, although the appeal I do have is purely based on the rave reviews calling it the game of the system perhaps. I'll watch my buddy play it at some point, i'm sure.

Awesome job getting Michalczewski, he is my favorite hitter in this draft, actually. Now the next 2 hard signs seem to be Octavio Rodriquez, and maybe Engel.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 11, 2013 -> 05:53 PM) some guy just called into the score and suggested the blackhawks get rid of patrick kane to keep brian bickell on the roster. meathead f***ing bandwagon pieces of s*** all of them. I actually heard that and texted in that I would totally be on board for trading Sharp, if it gets Bickell back, fine, if not, just to free up money for other players. I feel Sharp has peaked and he should fetch a fair collection of prospects. Of course dumping Seabrook somewhere would be the greatest possible move at this point, but he and that contract aren't going places. -
QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 11, 2013 -> 01:05 PM) Some are, but beta testing. The icons look a LOT better when a darker background is used, versus the lighter blue one Apple used in their demos. At least, IMO. Oh my, that looks awful. Their old one was much cleaner, albeit boring.

I can't remember if Tom Clancy's The Division has been talked about yet, but that game looks amazeballs.

QUOTE (MnSoxFan @ Jun 11, 2013 -> 09:53 PM) Baseball America shows us as signing Nick Parent, 1Bman. Son of our bench coach?? Yes.

Bassit ended w/ a helluva start.... 6 1/3 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 8 K. Outside of a terrible May, he is having a fantastic season.
-
Erik Johnson, losing his control tonight. 4 BB to 5 K. However, he also has a no-hitter through 5 IP.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 11, 2013 -> 09:01 PM) I purchased a ps3 slim a month or so ago through amazon with no issues. Yep, I've had my PS3 Slim for almost 2 years now, and I bought it through Amazon. No issues.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 11, 2013 -> 04:01 PM) I wonder how far that price will actually drop. It's still the best-performing bluray player on the market with wifi built-in, which commands a price tag. The added hard drive and ability to play games and PSN make me wonder how long they'll produce it. God, I love my PS3. GTA 5 bundle that includes the game, headset, 1 month of PS+, and 500 GBPS3 will cost $299. Which means you can sell the game + headset for at least $100. So a 500 GB Ps3 + 1 month of PS+ for $200. That's incredible. http://www.engadget.com/2013/06/10/sony-gta-5-exclusive/

Trayce Thompson is 1/1 with 2-run HR, his 6th. Batting .245 now.
-
Chris Bassit is dominating again. So far... 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 7 K
-
Yeah, the only way I give Hawkins a promotion in 2013 is if his K-rate from his return from the injury and on is at 25% or lower. Otherwise, he can afford to spend the entire year in High-A learning pitch recognition.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 11, 2013 -> 11:23 AM) Did this get announced yesterday? Everything I had read and seen is that Microsoft has been silent to this and people have taken the lack of coming out and making a stance as being indicative that they won't allow used games. Did they finally indicate such in yesterdays press release? I didn't think they did. It was a announced a few days ago. Check IGN.

I'm getting the impression that Matt Ball has signed. He said he is leaving for AZ on Wednesday, and he was discussing his rookie-ball flat rate salary w/ someone, so I'm guessing he's inked it.
-
Well, I asked NorthSideSox if he would include my list of twitters names and links to the original post, but I guess he doesn't want to, so I'll post the list here so everyone can find all the players on Twitter to see if they say anything about signing..... 1) Tim Anderson, SS, East Central CC, R/R, J2, 6'01" 180lbs DOB: 06/23/93, @TimAnderson7 2) Tyler Danish, RHP, Durant HS, HS, 6'02" 190lbs DOB: 09/12/94, @danish_Tyler7 3) Jacob May, CF, Coastal Carolina, S/R, JR, 5'10" 180lbs DOB: 01/23/92, @Jacob_May1 4) Andrew Mitchell, RHP, TCU, JR, 6'03" 205lbs DOB: 11/09/91 5) Thaddius Lowry, RHP, Spring HS, HS, 6'04" 215lbs DOB: 10/04/94, @BiGBadTHadd 6) James Dykstra, RHP, Cal State - San Marcos, SR, 6'04" 200lbs DOB: 11/22/90, @James_Dykstra 7) Trey Michalczewski, 3B, Jenks HS, S/R, HS, 6'03" 210lbs DOB: 02/27/95, @T_Michalczewski 8) Chris Freudenburg, LHP, South Mountain CC, J2, 6'03" 195lbs DOB: 06/19/93 9) Nick Blount, RHP, Southern Polytechnic State, SR, 6'06" lbs DOB: 09/01/90, @nblount41 10) Brad Goldberg, RHP, Ohio State, SR, 6'04" 235lbs DOB: 02/21/90, @B_Gumbo30 11) Matt Ball, RHP, Bonita Vista HS, HS, 6'05" 195lbs DOB: 03/25/95, @MattBall_ChiSox 12) Tyler Shryock, SS, Cal State - Bakersfield (CA), L/R, JR, 6'00" 170lbs DOB: 03/28/91, @tshry22 13) Danny Hayes, 1B, Oregon St. U, L/R, SR, 6'05" 210lbs DOB: 09/21/90, @Danny_Hayes9 14) Tyler Barnette, RHP, UNC-Charlotte, JR, 6'02" 215lbs DOB: 05/28/92, @tbarney18 15) Andre Wheeler, LHP, Texas-Tech, JR, 6'01" 185lbs DOB: 09/27/91, @andrewheeler25 16) Christian (John) Stringer, SS, Rice University, L/R, SR, 5'11" 180lbs DOB: 06/25/90, @C5tringer 17) Joey Wagman, RHP, Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo , SR, 6'00" lbs DOB: 07/25/91, @J_Wags30 18) Michael Carballo, CF, Tennesee Wesleyan, R/R, JR, 5'11" 188lbs DOB: 10/21/91, @Carbzzz 19) Adam Engel, CF, University of Louisville, R/R, JR, 6'01" 215lbs DOB: 12/09/91, @ManOfSteal_10 20) Dillon Haupt, C, U of San Diego, R/R, SR, 6'05" 225lbs DOB: 10/08/91, @hauptimusprime 21) Toby Thomas, SS, Pensacola St. College, R/R, J1, 5'09" 180lbs DOB: 12/09/93, @toby_thomas4 22) Nolan Earley, OF, U of South Alabama, L/L, SR, 6'00" 205lbs DOB: 03/27/91, @Earley_17dt 23) Trey Wimmer, C, Liberty University, R/R, 5S , 6'03" 225lbs DOB: 05/21/90, @twim_10 24) Jacob Morris, CF, U of Arkansas, R/R, SR, 6'03" 215lbs DOB: 12/19/90, @JacobMorris4 25) Alex Powers, RHP, Southern New Hampshire, JR, 6'04" 180lbs DOB: 02/26/92, @allhailmyPOWERS 26) Charlie Sharrer, RHP, Cal St. East Bay, SR, 6'01" 195lbs DOB: 06/27/91, @chuckles_32 27) Devin Moore, RHP, Indiana State, SR, 6'03" 210lbs DOB: 04/01/91, @BigSmooth29 28) Jeffrey McKenzie, LHP, Cal State Bakersfield, L/L, SR, 6'00" lbs DOB: 05/15/91, @wwjdjeffrey 29) Matt Abramson, RHP, University of Tampa, 5S, 6'02" 185lbs DOB: 03/22/90, @MattyAyy32 30) Jon Bengard, RHP, Cal Baptist U, SR, 6'04" 180lbs DOB: 01/07/91, @Jbengard 31) Sean Hagan, LHP, St. Johns, SR, 6'06" 235lbs DOB: 03/05/91, @shagan10 32) Darian Johnson, OF, Lamar U, S/R, SR, 6'01" 195lbs DOB: 07/17/91 33) Octavio Rodriguez, LHP, Franklin HS, HS, 6'04" 185lbs DOB: 04/04/95, @tavs27 34) Tyrell King, LHP, Yavapai College, J1, 6'04" 180lbs DOB: 08/04/93, @Tkinger11 35) Sam Macias, OF, U San Diego, R/R, JR, 6'00" 195lbs DOB: 12/09/91 36) Nick Parent, 1B, Cal St. Monterey Bay, R/R, JR, 6'03" 220lbs DOB: 07/30/90 37) Cody Yount, 1B, Virginia Comonwealth U, L/R, 5S, 6'01" 200lbs DOB: 08/19/89 38) Audry Santana, SS, Eckerd College, R/R, JR, 5'11" 170lbs DOB: 02/22/92, @ASantan12 39) Wolfie Tash, 3B, Venice HS, R/R, HS, 6'02" 195lbs DOB: 11/20/94, @mrbigw 40) Ronell Coleman, 2B, Simeon Career Academy, S/R, HS, 5'05" 140lbs DOB: 11/22/94

QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 11, 2013 -> 01:05 AM) PS4 says I don't have to pay to stream media. Roku says I don't have to pay to stream media. Smart TVs say I don't have to pay to do this. Why is it that only XBOX thinks it is appropriate for me to pay to use services I'm already paying somebody else to use? Exactly.

QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jun 11, 2013 -> 12:37 AM) You're far more likely to scratch the physical media than lose the info in a crash. You can't recover a broken disc. Will you be able to download a game twice once purchasing the license in the event of hardware failure? True, but I'm not sure I've ever had a scratched game in my life. I take care of all my games.

Trayce Thompson 2/3, 11th SB. He has been hitting .281 since May 1st. God, it is so weird seeing Otano hitting 3rd for our DSL Sox. He is 16-years-old!

QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jun 11, 2013 -> 12:31 AM) While I do agree with you to an extent, physical media is becoming a thing of the past. Look at the CD/DVD market. It's gotten to the point that a DVD collection is almost embarrassing. And I hate that. Much like old people have always said, I prefer to actually TOUCH my possessions. I feel like if my system crashes I would lose all my s***.

QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jun 11, 2013 -> 12:27 AM) Just because we're talking about consoles doesn't mean you should post like a 12 year old playing CoD. Micro$oft got PWNed, duuuuuuude.
