  1. Oh god, if it goes to Game 7, it will be played on my birthday. That could be incredible.
  2. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 8, 2013 -> 10:55 PM) Didn't they draft a guy with the name Storm Throne or something last year? Sure did.
  3. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Jun 9, 2013 -> 12:25 AM) What are Hawkins post injury numbers? In 9 games hitting .344, 4 HR, 4 2B, 13 RBI, 1 BB, 11 K, .900+ SLG (!!!), 1.300+ OPS (!!!) He is still striking out a ton, 32%, but that's actually LOWER than the 50% he was at before his injury.
  4. A HR every 9.6 AB for Hawkins. Crazy.
  5. Final and 40th RD pick.... Ronell Coleman, 2B, Simeon Career Academy, S/R, HS, 5'05" 140lbs DOB: 11/22/94 No Twitter Found He is 5 foot 5 inches!! Woah.
  6. Wolfie Tash, 3B, Venice HS, R/R, HS, 6'02" 195lbs DOB: 11/20/94 @mrbigw Officially my favorite draftee name of our Sox draftees.
  7. Our boy SS/2B Christian Stringer hit a HR in the 5th inning for Rice to tie the game, and then hit a double in the 9th to give Rice the 3-2 lead. Too bad I stopped watching in the 4th.
  8. Audry Santana, SS, Eckerd College, R/R, JR, 5'11" 170lbs DOB: 02/22/92 @ASantan12
  9. Cody Yount, 1B, Virginia Comonwealth U, L/R, 5S, 6'01" 200lbs DOB: 08/19/89 No Twitter Found Oldest player I've seen drafted so far. Nephew of Robin Yount.
  10. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Jun 8, 2013 -> 06:41 PM) Does he project that well? I played against him years ago, while I am sure he has improved, I wasn't very impressed by the 14 year old version of him. lol At least according to the mlb.com bio for him, they said if he isn't drafted in the first few rounds, he wouldn't be signing. Round 32 or whatever is a long way away from first few. lol.
  11. Red Sox just drafted Max Watt. Haha, fantastic name.
  12. Tiger's just drafted Torii Hunter Jr., the WR who is committed to Notre Dame.
  13. Nick Parent, 1B, Cal St. Monterey Bay, R/R, JR, 6'03" 220lbs DOB: 07/30/90 No Twitter Found I wonder if there is any relation to Mark. EDIT: Yup, it's Mark Parent's son.
  14. Sam Macias, OF, U San Diego, R/R, JR, 6'00" 195lbs DOB: 12/09/91 No Twitter Found
  15. Astros just drafted Kacy Clemens, Roger's son. 0% chance of signing him this late in the draft though.
  16. Tyrell King, LHP, Yavapai College, J1, 6'04" 180lbs DOB: 08/04/93 @Tkinger11
  17. Octavio just favorited my tweet welcoming him to White Sox Nation and telling him about the amazing chance to work w/ the best pitching coach in baseball. Clearly I've swayed him. EDIT: And now a retweet. Hook. Line. Sinker.
  18. Octavio Rodriguez, LHP, Franklin HS, HS, 6'04" 185lbs DOB: 04/04/95 @tavs27 "As a 6-foot-4, 205-pound lefty, Rodriguez has the prototypical pitcher's build. He can already hit 93 mph with his fastball and should see an increase in velocity once he fills out. His changeup and curve could also be above-average in the future. He is still somewhat raw, however, and needs to show better command of each of his pitches. Rodriguez is committed to Oklahoma and is considered a very tough sign. If he goes on to college, he has the potential to be a first-round pick in three years." Scouting video - http://wapc.mlb.com/play/?topic_id=4039549...ent_id=27714739 This appears to be where we will put a lot of our money saved from the last 15-20 straight college players we have drafted.
  19. Darian Johnson, OF, Lamar U, S/R, SR, 6'01" 195lbs DOB: 07/17/91 No Twitter Found.
  20. I don't know how the Red Sox are going to pay for all these guys. Of the 22 rounds today, I would say 17 or 18 of their picks are HS players with scouting videos and bios. That's pretty insane.
  21. Sean Hagan, LHP, St. Johns, SR, 6'06" 235lbs DOB: 03/05/91 @shagan10
  22. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jun 8, 2013 -> 05:14 PM) Wow only 3 pages on the game thread. Sad I don't think anyone gives any more f***s for this team. Games in which Chris Sale pitches are the only games I will watch over something else. Otherwise, it will be strictly boredom or nothing on TV that will cause me to watch this team anymore. I've been watching the draft and the Louisville game over this s*** team.
  23. Jon Bengard, RHP, Cal Baptist U, SR, 6'04" 180lbs DOB: 01/07/91 @Jbengard
  24. Matt Abramson, RHP, University of Tampa, 5S, 6'02" 185lbs DOB: 03/22/90 @MattyAyy32
  25. Jeffrey McKenzie, LHP, Cal State Bakersfield, L/L, SR, 6'00" lbs DOB: 05/15/91 @wwjdjeffrey
