  1. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jun 11, 2013 -> 12:23 AM) No. I said I won't be buying either, but would lean towards the Xbox because I'm not as interested in gaming as I used to be. Microsoft's vision is far more forward thinking. If you're going to be condencsending, at least try to provide some type of argument. There is no argument to be had. It's not even a conversation. Sony absolutely bent microsoft over and butt-pumped them until they bled to death.
  2. Well, looks like we found the one guy who will be sleeping in a tent for the XboxOne release. TaylorStSox. I can't believe ANYONE would take the XboxOne over the Ps4 after this week's announcements. Hilarious, really.
  3. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 10, 2013 -> 06:21 PM) Let me know if they announce Beyond Good and Evil2 Haven't heard those yet. They just announced yet another amazing trailer for WatchDogs, and then some kids games and Just Dance 4.
  4. Splinter Cell Blacklist and Rayman shown. Yawn.
  5. Aisha Tyler is hosting Ubisoft announcement. Rocksmith 2014 announced.
  6. Well, Ubisoft is up right now. They gave us that amazing Watch Dogs announcement last year at E3.
  7. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 10, 2013 -> 05:40 PM) Sony isnt going for a few more hours. Yeah, you're right. IGN listed the schedule in PST apparently. I had assumed it was in EST like most national sources list things in.
  8. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 10, 2013 -> 11:49 AM) Because brides just love that s***. Actually, her whole family loves sports and the Blackhawks. Not sure about the groom and his family, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they rolled in a TV during the reception.
  9. E3 is going on right now. Microsoft announced the XboxOne will be $499. Sony's conference starts in 25 minutes. Rumor is they will do 3 SKUs, $399, $499, and $599.
  10. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 10, 2013 -> 11:52 AM) Apparently Game of Thrones is the Apple of tv. You're clueless, just an FYI. I never got into Lord of the Rings, I've only seen the first hour of the first one. However, Game of Thrones is amaze. Lol, no. The difference is that I hate Apple. I don't hate GoT. I have no reason to. It just doesn't interest me. I don't see the big issue there.
  11. Ah s***, I just realized I'll miss Game 2 because I'll be at a wedding. Hope they roll out a big TV or something at the reception.
  12. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Jun 9, 2013 -> 11:30 PM) Tim Anderson used 'Soxs' in one of his tweets as well. In multiple tweets actually, I don't understand how players can think it's "Soxs".
  13. QUOTE (beautox @ Jun 9, 2013 -> 11:54 PM) Question becomes what do you do with Joey DeMichele? after a terrible start to the season he's gotten it going especially as of late In May he looked competent: .265/.349/.407 - .756OPS 14/23 BB/K with 6SB/2CS with 15 XBH Through June .341/.386/.415 - .801OPS 3/7 BB/K Maybe they really push Micah and bring him to AA. That's why I said cut/trade Curley. He is having a good year, but he is like 25 years old in High-A.
  14. Umm....so Christian Stringer just hit went yard AGAIN! 2 HR today, 1 yesterday. He only had 1 HR all season, he now has 3 HR in his last 5 or 6 ABs.
  15. Just for some early comparison sake....here are the other position players the Sox were linked to or rumored to take at #13 overall last year.... OF Victor Roache - (A Ball) - 44 games, .228, 6 HR, 28 RBI, 47 K, .704 OPS 3B Richie Shaffer - (A+ Ball) - 54 games, .244, 4 HR, 25 RBI, 49 K, .643 OPS And then Hawkins.... OF Courtney Hawkins - (A+ Ball) - 31 games, .229, 11 HR, 29 RBI, 56 K, .886 OPS And both Roache and Shaffer are 21 and 22-years-old respectively. Hawkins is still only 19. Yeah, the strikeout rates are alarming, getting better, but still alarming, but he is also very young at the level he is at. He could repeat A+ ball for 2 more years and still be on time. He's got time to trim those K rates.
  16. QUOTE (ChiSoxJon @ Jun 9, 2013 -> 04:55 PM) Michalczewski would need third round money while Rodriguez would want up to second round money, paying both are unrealistic Right, which is why I said Octavio would be nearly impossible.
  17. Stringer jacked another HR. Two straight games w/ a HR. Engel is due up next for Louisville.
  18. I'm hoping the most for Michalczewski, and then getting Engel would be key as well. I don't think Octavio is a realistic opportunity at all. He'd be our Sammy Ayala signing of last year if we can somehow get that done.
  19. Hector Santiago as a starter..... 33 2/3 IP, 25 H, 16 BB, 37 K, 2.67 ERA, 1.21 WHIP BUT HEY, LET'S THROW HIM BACK IN THE BULLPEN.
  20. Micah Johnson, 2/4 with a 2B, RBI. Now hitting .330/.420/.503/.923 with 13 2B, 7 3B, 4 HR, 33 BB, 47 K, 49 SB. I think it's really time to push him to W/S. Dump OF Richmond, or SS Curley and give Micah a chance to see better competition.
  21. Looks like Danish has signed..... Tyler Danish ⚾ ‏@danish_Tyler7 now Well my last day in town is Friday. Then off to Chicago for the weekend then Bristol Tennessee to start my professional baseball career

  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 9, 2013 -> 12:09 PM) @Carbzzz Nice. Thanks.
  25. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 9, 2013 -> 11:48 AM) they could add him to our pen as far as I am concerned... That would be hilarious. He'd make it look like Chris Sale was babied through the minors.
