  1. QUOTE (Jake @ May 21, 2013 -> 10:43 PM) fwiw, there is no Spanish word that sounds like stallion that means stallion ELLLLLL CABALLLOOOOO!
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 21, 2013 -> 10:39 PM) Tonight is a perfect example of what I am talking about. The Sox can't trust anyone in the 7th, so they have to run Crain out there to put out the fire. Now in the 8th, they have to trust Thornton and Lindstrom, which just about blew up in their faces. So trade for a middle reliever, don't take away quality innings out of the rotation to replace them with quality innings out of the 'pen. You can find relievers off the scrap heap in a season, you can call up minors leaguers, but a rotational piece is more important than a guy you can run out of the 6th-7th innings.
  3. Stone - "Good stop by Tyler Flowers" Lol, that ball hit the ump in the thigh.
  4. Nice passed ball Flowers, that ball nailed the top of his foot.
  5. QUOTE (flavum @ May 21, 2013 -> 10:28 PM) It's too bad Jones has sucked this year too. We're running out of options. I was to see what Ryan Kloess (sp?) can do.
  6. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 21, 2013 -> 10:27 PM) Pouring over here. Wonder when it will hit the cell. Now that the Gas Can is off the mound, there is nothing for the rain to extinguish.
  7. I never thought I'd be so happy about Sale being scratched. Now I'll get to see him pitch Tuesday.
  8. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 21, 2013 -> 10:14 PM) JCINAABSPG Jesse Crain Is Not An Ace But Still Pretty Good?
  9. Micah Johnson on base 3 times today (2 hits, 1 BB), but only stole 1 base. He now has 40 SB.
  10. Ravelo, 3/3, 3 RBI, 2 BB. Up to about .300/.415 on the year.
  11. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 21, 2013 -> 06:08 PM) As I suggested in the other thread, I think dealing Axelrod (plus someone else) for a couple relievers actually makes a lot of sense. Milwaukee makes sense as a destination because they need starting pitching, even if they don't compete this year, and they can afford to shed some relievers. I do really like Axelrod too, but the Sox simply do not have room for him. You can't deal Axelrod until you know Danks is okay. It's the only reason we held on to Floyd this year.
  12. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 21, 2013 -> 06:13 PM) This thing may be DOA if this is true. From Kotaku: But what if you want to bring a game disc to a friend's house and play there? You'll have to pay a fee—and not just some sort of activation fee, but the actual price of that game—in order to use a game's code on a friend's account. Think of it like a new game, Harrison says. I don't know if that's true. I heard they charge a "small fee", not the entire full price. Either way, people are going to start buying games as a group. Lets say the game costs $60, and the "small fee" costs $20. Since the game downloads on the systems, you won't need the disc anymore, so you and a friend could go in on a game for $80, or $40 each. If used that way, and if that can be a loophole, then it sounds beneficial.
  13. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 21, 2013 -> 06:01 PM) And the products are going to be released at pretty much the exact same time. There is no difference other than Sony announcing their product first. Your Sony-homers are going to buy the PS4 and talk about it being superior, your XBox-homers are going to buy the One and talk about how it's superior, and the machines are going to be so similar that arguing over which is better is going to be like arguing whether doggy style or cowgirl is better, when in reality nobody should honestly give two s***s because both will be awesome (and very expensive). Ok great. I don't see your point about people not being excited about this XboxOne announcement.
  14. QUOTE (gatnom @ May 21, 2013 -> 05:44 PM) I think it would be pretty cool to say Xbox on and have it turn on. Something tells me it won't work that well, though. I don't think there's really any useful innovations left. At least I hope it's why every new piece of technology seems loaded with useless crap... How about this scenario? "Hey Jim, is your Xbox off?" *Beep* "It is now, asshole"
  15. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 21, 2013 -> 04:21 PM) If PS4 "set the bar," and XBox is matching it, then I'd say XBox is doing pretty damn well too considering they're announcing it 3 months afterwards. Announcing it 3 months later =/= developing it 3 months later.
  16. Not happening, ever. And if you look at that page, one of the next posts is "Source said the talks are off. No deal". Nice damage control, douche.
  17. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ May 21, 2013 -> 04:03 PM) All the specs I've seen show the PS4 and X-Box One to be nearly identical so I'm not sure how the X-Box is underwhelming. Were you expecting it to be vastly superior to the PS4? I haven't seen all the specs yet, that's why I said "at a glance". I'm just going off articles I've seen that don't seem very excited. Maybe that's because Ps4 already set the bar and this one is just matching it. I'll need to see more about it.
  18. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ May 21, 2013 -> 03:32 PM) What were you expecting? Virtual reality? As compared to the Ps4, I mean.
  19. At a glance this thing seems super underwhelming, but I guess it's too early to draw a conclusion.
  20. Soooo....I just got a phone call.... I won the DiGorno's sweepstakes grand prize! 2 tix to Sox/Cubs game next Tuesday, parking pass, and $300 giftcard. I'm so pumped.
  21. Game 4 is a MUST WIN game, and I will miss all of it because of damn softball (crossing fingers for heavy rain). Then Game 5 I will probably miss while sitting passenger seat in my grandmas car coming back from a family event in Michigan. Already missed games 1 and 2 of this series because of work/family things. These playoffs suck.
  22. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 20, 2013 -> 11:54 PM) He, Yu Darvish, and Clayton Kershaw are awesome...for my fantasy team. I got that Corbin on my fantasy squad as well.
  23. QUOTE (Knuckles @ May 20, 2013 -> 11:41 PM) We play the next 16 out of 19 at home? Including Cubs, and The Fish? Time to make a run! 16 of 19 in CHICAGO I believe. 2 of those 16 will be at Wrigley.
