  1. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 09:20 PM) Has Stewart pitched yet this season? I think it needs to be him. Yes. Threw 2 scoreless maybe?
  2. I read the first few posts all the way through, and then saw someone say "I wonder how many players will be under contract for 2007" and finally checked the date.
  3. Pretty decent start for Quintana. 6:1 K/BB through 4 IP. Wilkins is 2/3 so far.
  4. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 06:57 PM) Who wants to play Battleship? One of the flimsiest game/source material/action figure connections ever made, trumping GI Joe and Transformers. So far, the movie has performed well overseas, coming out May 17th stateside. It's becoming known as one of the loudest movies ever made. Interesting cast, with the Rihanna supposedly holding her own, Brooklyn Decker (yes, last seen in an Adam Sandler movie wearing, who guessed it, a bikini?) and Taylor Kitsch, who went from FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS to two of the biggest and most controversial movies of the year, Battleship and John Carter. Interesting directing choice in Michael Bay...err, Peter Berg (yeah, the same guy who used to be on Chicago Hope as a doctor) and has gone on to a surprising directorial career. Isn't Liam Neeson in that too? He is the only real actor in that bunch.
  5. QUOTE (farmteam @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 07:53 PM) Now we just need the technology to have a Kate Upton hologram in my apartment.... Seriously. Once holograms become commercialized, I bet someone will start selling porno ones, or ones of models, and probably make a ton of money.
  6. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 05:40 PM) They probably got made fun of because it was will.i.am. And you know Tupac's dead. It was just an awesome touch to an already awesome performance. Yeah, I think because it was a random person like Will.i.Am, and the fact that he is still alive. If they did a hologram of Kanye or Ludacris or something, it wouldn't be as cool/special.
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 11:31 AM) Ok, I don't get it.
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 02:49 PM) I don't think it's a big deal because I never got the Tupac fascination. Not a rap fan either though. I actually don't like Tupac or hardly any of his music, but I did think it was pretty incredible looking.
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 02:42 PM) That was such a good idea. I could watch them do a whole set like that. It was really eerie the way he was interacting with Snoop. Blew my mind.
  10. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 02:29 PM) I don't know why people are thinking this is a big deal. Has no one been to the Haunted House at Disney World? Nope.
  11. QUOTE (LVSoxFan @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 01:40 PM) Oh I'm not, trust me. Unfortunately Rios and Dunn are like the proverbial albatross--we have to play them so as they go, the team goes. The Beckham/Morel thing is just now another worry to have. Why are people so worried about Morel? First of all, Morel was not a super prospect who was a legit ROY player, secondly, Morel has not had a couple years to right his wrongs. Thirdly, Morel honestly looks a lot better than Beckham right now.
  12. Anyone else see this? This is kind of scary.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=playe...p;v=ajVGIRsKXdo
  13. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 14, 2012 -> 08:40 PM) You obviously don't have even the simplest understanding of how the newspaper business works. The writer of an article is not responsible for the headline. Hence the above statement does not work. I haven't worked for a professional newspaper yet, but the staffs I have been a part of in HS and college were never like that. Yeah, everything a writer does is subject to change by the editors, but I find it hard to believe a writer submits a story with no title, and the editor makes his own. Highly doubt it.
  14. Watching Thursday's episode of Awake right now, and here in my question. Who was his partner before the accident? I just remembered that his boss is the same from both lives, but his partners are different. The black guy seems to have been his partner before the accident because he just asked him about a case they were working on when he got in the accident. And in the other life, he said he was given a rookie partner (Wilmer Valdarama), because they wanted to give him a partner who would agree with him and bite the bullet about having to deal w/ a possibly distraught cop. So wouldn't the fact that he has all these memories with his black partner prove that THAT life is the real one? Did they ever say what happened to his partner in the other life? Was it also the black guy, but he he quit or was moved elsewhere, and Wilmer became the new partner? This show is good, but sometimes I start to confuse myself.
  15. Kind of a dumb ending for Eastbound and Down. It seemed really abrupt. "Hey all the sudden the Texas closer is dead, you pitched 1 good inning recently, so you get the call up". Seemed way to forced I guess. I am glad, however, that April pointed out that he could have just quit, or her and Toby could have gone to Texas. Because when they revealed he faked his death, I was rolling my eyes to the fact that his only solution would be to fake his death. Still weird though.
  16. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Apr 15, 2012 -> 09:23 PM) Found a pretty cool site that has WS rings by year (NL/AL champ rings as well). Wanted to see how this stacked up against against those from 2000-present. Hard to do. http://www.worldseriesrings.net/ The WBC ring looks like it came out of Power Rangers. I clicked the "pre-ring awards", and the VERY FIRST award that comes up I noticed is an award that MISSPELLED the players name. It reads "James O'Rouke". They forgot the second R in O'Rourke. The awards didn't get off to a very good start....lol
  17. QUOTE (danman31 @ Apr 15, 2012 -> 07:38 PM) That's a pretty damn good start. He's walked just 1 in 16.2 IP so far. He's doing just fine. Yeah, I love his control. 11 Ks to 1 BB so far. That's dominance. Sometimes the hits given up are due to poorer defense behind him, but there is no doubting the pitcher independent stats like K/BB. Also, it's hard not to be very encouraged my Mitchell's start. But as we all already know, he needs to get his Ks down.
  18. QUOTE (MAX @ Apr 14, 2012 -> 03:14 PM) I am not jealous at all. They are overpriced. You can get an android tablet for less money that performs better. So what are you paying for with an ipad? Annoying f***ing commercials. Bingo. That and the smug, elitist attitude that comes in almost every box.
  19. Alexei is killing him right now, holding 72% of the vote.
  20. Wait, since when is tomorrow's game on FOX?
  21. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 08:49 PM) Or in other words, he needs a new song How about this? It has the name, it has the rock anthem. Sounds like closer music to me! 0:00-0:30 I could really do without the screaming parts though.....yuck.
  22. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 13, 2012 -> 06:35 PM) Me neither. I mean I think they want it to be the one stop shop for social media photos, and then link it all with Facebook itself but....yeah I dunno. Free programs like Picassa do the same exact thing, albeit not on a smartphone. That's the whole reason. Facebook's interface for uploading photos on mobile devices was clunky and not as easy to use as Instagram. So instead of trying to create an ALTERNATIVE to Instagram, they just straight up bought them so they wouldn't have to put in the time and money to develop one, and then try and win the market over. They just simply BOUGHT the market. So I totally understand why they would buy it, but the pricetag of $1B boggles my mind. I would be surprised if the little startup company who made an app wouldn't have just sold it to FB for like.....$10M? Maybe not even that. I mean, the company is 9 people. NINE!! They made an app that is not even anything new or different. I can't believe the price tag was so high.
