In fact, that's a similar return to nearly every trade I proposed, a backend top 100 guy.

You think having both of them is the same as just having India? It's obviously possible they liked both of those guys, but preferred Madrigal. There could be a decent chance they would love to have both of them if India was on the table in talks with the Reds. I think Jonathan India would be a more realistic, and easier player to acquire, maybe for a prospect-swap with Dunning. But I would also love for them to shoot for someone like Senzel first, and then if the Reds are asking more than Cease + backend top 10 guy, then maneuver down to India. Given our strength of pitching, I think Dunning for India is something I would do.

If the Sox miss out on both Harper and Machado, then I hope they decide to buy out a contract, like discussed HERE. And then go hard after 1 or 2 of Arenado, Rendon, Sale, Cole, Ozuna, Goldschmidt, Eaton.

I can't see any reason for Machado to follow the YES network for any other reasons. Can the people who think this means nothing give a good excuse? Is he just interested to see how they cover him before he makes a choice? Maybe he will follow NBCSN Chicago or Philly soon too, or maybe it's all a tactic to drive the Sox or Phillies to panic and offer more? I just can't wait for this shit to all be over.
