  1. QUOTE (oldsox @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 09:27 PM) I outgrew booing when I was about 10. I think they were saying "Boooooo-urns!"
  2. Wait, what the f*** just happened? LOL. I looked down for a second, look up when I hear Hawk yell, and we get an out. Haha.
  3. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 04:20 PM) What? The Fly was awesome. Reviews abound called it an amazing episode, comparing it to the Pine Barrens episode of the Sopranos. The fly was terrible. What did we learn from that entire episode? Flys can contaminate things, and that Walt ALMOST admitted to Jesse that he let Jane die. That's all. I did in 5 seconds what took them an hour of my life.
  4. Walker also had 2 SB. He is 9/14. Not great, but I think he is 5 for his last 5.
  5. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 09:58 AM) Your parents are silly... I enjoyed it greatly. Yeah, I just watched it and I don't agree with them either. They likened that episode to "The Fly" episode in S3 when the whole episode is about a fly contamination the meth lab. Now THAT was an awful episode that was barely watchable. Last night's wasn't bad at all. Like it has been mentioned, it was a good set-up episode. Sure, spending 25% of the episode at Jesse's house while he partied was a little tiresome, but a lot of storylines progressed. Very much unlike The Fly episode, this set-up a lot of the storylines and showed a little bit of everything. I liked it.
  6. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 03:45 PM) I barely noticed he was missing. Well I hope he comes back well next year. .........with a new team.
  7. @MDGonzales Mark Gonzales Sox reliever Tony pena says he's out for rest of '11, will see Dr. Jobe in So. Cal later this week, surgery likely on arm I'm sure he has thrown his last pitch with the White Sox, or at least I hope so.
  8. QUOTE (oldsox @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 03:23 PM) Read the rest of that blogger for reports on Detroit farm system and their predicted trade of Rios, Short, Morel and Quentin for Soriono, Fukedome and Aramis R. Holy money movement.
  9. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 03:21 PM) Edwin doesn't. Last time he was there his ERA was well over 5. Edwin is amazingly inconsistent. Not even the National League can save him.
  10. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 01:59 PM) Hudson has now played a season's worth of games with the Diamondbacks. Let's review how he did! 32 starts--team record 21-11 25 quality starts--yes, 25 17-7, 2.99 ERA 220 innings 192 hits 47 bb 179 K 1.086 WHIP He'll be under team control for 5 more years. Have a nice day. I wish we played in the National League too.
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 02:02 AM) Greatpost. I don't know how everybody isn't in full agreement with you. Because some people know who Colby Rasmus is.
  12. Didn't see Breaking Bad tonight, but my parents said it was awful. Barely watchable.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 24, 2011 -> 08:00 PM) I imagine All-In doesn't mean f***ing retarded. I hate this term "all in". It just gives people an excuse to want to morgage our future just for 1 singular year. It's soooo f***ing dumb. Getting Rasmus doesn't just effect our 2011 team, but it gives us a solid young player for 3 more years to come. People need to stop being so short-sighted.
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 24, 2011 -> 08:02 PM) Interesting new take on the deal, saying it's not Jackson AND Thornton, it's one or the other. Yeah, this has been known for a while.
  15. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jul 24, 2011 -> 07:51 PM) Rasmus has muchhhh greater value than Beltran. Yeah, I don't thionk people quite realize Rasmus' potential, and the fact that he is controlled for 3 1/2 more years or whatever it is.
  16. QUOTE (Real @ Jul 24, 2011 -> 07:47 PM) f*** that, if we're giving up Thornton and what seems to be a potential up and coming lefthanded pitcher in our system, for a guy we don't have room for, they better be getting Rios along with those two pitchers. Here's our problem: Rasmus is a talented CF. We have to play this kid everyday, we're not giving up that much talent for a kid to play off the bench. That is STUPID. So one of two things has to happen: 1. Rios gets dealt, or has his playing time SIGNIFICANTLY (I'm talking 2 days a week, TOPS) reduced or 2. Quentin is traded. THIS WOULD BE A HUGE MISTAKE. Well obviously Kenny isn't going to trade for Rasmus just to bench him. It would be with another move coming that would send Quentin, Rios, or Pierre somewhere for prospects presumably.
  17. Wow, Axelrod is a stud. And Milledge continues to tear it up.
  18. Jackson, Thornton, AND Reed? Oh man, that would be a hard one to swallow, but assuming Rasmus can figure it out again, it would be a good trade for both teams.
  19. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 24, 2011 -> 06:01 PM) Plus, KW loves Viciedo. Viciedo is going no where. (Am I the only one that finds it hilarious that Dayan & Alexei are our only international signings and now mean so much to this team?) They aren't our only international signings, just our two "big fish" that we have gotten, unless you count Silverio.
  20. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 24, 2011 -> 03:41 PM) It would probably be Morel instead, but that would leave us without a 3B. Though Morel hasn't been hot stuff. Ah, I hope we don't have to part with Morel.
  21. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 24, 2011 -> 03:35 PM) I think the more realistic answer is that Humber may be tiring and the Sox want to give him a 1 week break. Unlike other teams the Sox have the luxury of giving a guy a week break. That's what I've been assuming. I think they just want to give him a little rest and not pile on too many innings and ruin a good thing. I don't believe he has every gone over 150 innings in any season, and usually is around 130. He is currently at 113, so they probably don't want him to be hitting his wall in September when we need him most.
  22. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jul 24, 2011 -> 03:01 PM) How hard will Rongey drive home this was some kind of "gift" win in the post-game show? He's such a negative nancy. Lol, I can't think better word to describe this game than being a gift. Masterson was masterful against us. Our offense was bad, and Edwin somehow skated by hanging pitches all day and having bad control, yet allowed only 2 runs. If not for that terrible error in CF by the Indians and O-Cab's error, it's a 2-1 Indians win. We were handed this game, and luckily Sergio did not give it back, because he had NOTHING today.
  23. We really stole this game, but it's about damn time we stole a game from a division rival.
