If we make the playoffs, I seriously wonder what the odds are that Paulie could get MVP. It's between Paulie, Hamilton, and Cano in my opinion. Hamilton's only big advantage over Paulie is AVG and doubles, and by a lot. I think if Hamilton drops that average around .340, and Paulie brings that average up to around .330, it could be a pretty close vote, but I think Hamilton still gets it because he plays CF and "is a good story"
Brent has been practicing his swing on the playground this week.
No but seriously, I convinced my roommate that he just witnessed a middle schooler that we signed hit that HR.

So Linebrink has a better offspeed pitch than Jenks now? Good pitch there, but still a lot of trouble lurking.
I'm not a fan of splitters that are caught at the belt.

He could have come off the base earlier and tried for the tag. The way he went about it, there was no way he was getting Marson out.
Right, that's what I was saying in the 2nd part of my post.

Um... that CLEARLY wasn't Kotsay's fault.
Could have stretched further. Or could have just been better off getting the ball first and then playing the runner.

I'm curious of everyone's thoughts on the Armour Field proposal that never took off.
Seriously? Who thought a square outfield was a good idea?

22 years old with mediocre K numbers. Good for him, but I'm not going to call him a prospect yet.
Just noting it, not looking for hidden treasure.

Way to run down the line with your head down pouting AJ.
Only a few more weeks until he's gone...
I'm pretty much ready. I've never been an AJ hater, but I'm just tired of him now. No idea who the hell would catch for us next year, but we need a change. Is Miguel Olivo available? Hah.
This Robert Young, our 31st RD pick this year is putting together a solid rookie season so far....
2.92 ERA, 61 1/3 IP, 52 H, 1 HR, 12 BB, 43 K, 1.70 GB/FB
And he attended Dartmouth, so he has a massive brain.
I don't understand how the deal is made official this afternoon, yet he won't be taking a flight until 6 AM tomorrow. How was he not put on a flight tonight? It's not like this trade came out of no where. It has been talked about for 3-4 days now. Real s***ty that we will have to waste 2 games. We are paying him $3.8M for 1 month, get him here in a timely fashion.

Wait til the world series when Kotsay starts in LF with CQ, Manny, and Jones on the bench.
Kotsay-Rios-Teahen OF? I'd buy that.
