  1. Kopech's 1st... - Single *Caught stealing - strikeout - lineout
  2. This is at least the 2nd time that Garneau has caught for Kopech. I wonder why they wouldn't want him to build a relationship with Zavala, someone he's more likely to be playing with in the majors.
  3. Leadoff single against Kopech. HE'S NOT READY
  4. #14 according to one list I saw today. But IIRC, Mejia has character issues and the Indians were upset with him. So that may have worked out tremendously for the Padres if they don't think it's a concern.
  5. Fried would be a very nice pickup. Jackson has a garbage hit-tool, so I guess it depends on his defense as catcher. If he can be a plus-defensive catcher, I can live with the .230 averages and 20 dingers. Ruiz is kind of....meh. Doesn't excite me. Doesn't move the needle in this much. I think if you can find a way to get Williams Contreras, and then any of their glut of pitchers, you do that deal instead. Bowman, however, seems to think the Braves have pegged Contreras as their catcher of the future though, which may mean they are putting more value in him than others may.
  6. I've had a crush on Stubbs for a couple years now. He was in every trade I tried to put together for Sale and Quintana.
  7. This comment didn't age well.
  8. Absolutely. They took quantity over quality. Orioles fucked this up.
  9. Jonathan Lee‏ @followmefor3 Mo Jonathan Lee Retweeted Jonathan Lee #WhiteSox Nicky Delmonico is not here today. He has yet to be activated off the DL, but he isn't here..
  10. So the issue as that they are overly cautious and likely unrealistic. Got it, thanks.
  11. Kyle Young, damn dude, what a deep dive. His peripherals look tasty as fuck.
  12. I don't know, but Baseball America's updated list today agrees. Not a top 100 guy. And to be clear, I assumed he was a slam dunk top 100 guy myself just based on what I thought I had heard about him. But when I looked it up, I saw he wasn't and figured if the Braves happen to agree with those assessments, he should be available for trade if he is truly their 8th best pitching prospect.
  13. But what would be their motivation to sabotaging their own deals? Trying to get other teams to jump in last second to steal a trade away?
  14. Was going off of Fangraphs ranking, which don't even have him as a Braves top 10 prospect, let alone a top 100 guy. Midseason rankings by other pubs may jive with that. EDIT: Just looked up Baseball America's new top 100 updated today. Allard isn't on their current top 100 either.
  15. When looking through Fangraphs org lists for names, I was surprised that Allard is considered the Braves 8th best PITCHING prospect. They have got to be the deepest pitching farm in baseball by a mile. William Contreras is an exciting catching prospect, hopefully less douchey than his big brother, but I would want him and then really any of the Braves pitching prospects paired with him. Of all the players in my mock deals, SS Luis Garcia of the Nationals may be my favorite. The kid is 18-years-old in High-A ball and hitting .319 with a K-rate of only 12%. His future scouting grades have him as 60 run, 60 arm, 55 field, 50 power, and 45 hit. But so far he's hit .300+ at all 3 levels he has played at since being a 16-year-old in rookie ball.
  16. I'm a bit confused here. Is the implication that the Orioles don't know how to properly give physicals? Because I don't get why a Dodgers player having an issue with a physical reflects poorly on the Orioles.
  17. Angry? What do I have to be angry about? I'm merely confused at how you are possibly extrapolating random conjecture in to actual news. Diaz and May have been the only names linked to by any major reporters, and even then, Diaz is the only one they all seem to agree upon. Multiple people have asked you where you are seeing the final names of the deal being reported, and you don't seem to have any source or real answer. But anyway...
  18. You mean this...?? "I wonder if they get C Connor Wong and then maybe some lottery ticket guys like Starling Heredia and Robinson Ortiz." FUCK, did I just manifest a trade by wondering aloud about possible players? Quick, let me think of another! *massages temples with all 10 fingers* I've got it! I wonder if the Sox could trade Soria to the Nationals for something like Juan Soto and Victor Robles. *Furiously refreshes Ken Rosenthal's twitter account*
  19. I've seen two names, Yasniel Diaz and Dustin May. Baltimore could have done better in the winter (or last July when everyone thought it would happen).
  20. I hope it's permanent and I hope he gets funneled down the Andrew Miller/Josh Hader route of 2 IP per appearance route every 3 days or so.
  21. "Just did"? Are you living in the future and got drunk? We have no idea what the return is yet....
  22. Since hardly anyone is actually throwing out deal offers like the OP suggested.... Soria, or Soria + Cash for.... Houston: For C Garrett Stubbs and P Corbin Martin Cleveland: OF Connor Capel and P Eli Morgan Rockies: 2B Tyler Nevin and P Peter Lambert Nationals: SS Luis Garcia and OF Daniel Johnson Braves: P Kolby Allard and C William Contreras
  23. You don't know what the level of return is now, and do you even know what the offers were in the winter? How could you possibly come to this conclusion, when logic would dictate the opposite should be true?
  24. Yusniel Diaz (#4 Prospect) Dustin May (#10 Prospect) and Errol Robinson (#18 Prospect) is what is floating around on twitter, but not sure where those specific names came from, so it may just be the same erroneous report circulating.
