  1. I know we are excited about these guys because they fit within our $300K cap, but assuming we didn't have any restrictions, would these guys just be footnotes? They can't be that hyped if they are signing for sub $300K, right?
  2. And he was drafted as a reliever, hence the slow progression.
  3. I couldn't find this on my main platform TuneIn, or my back-up platform, Google Play Music.
  4. And just like that, 3 days later and he's up to .289.
  5. Do we have a fun name for that yet, like we do with a 9-pitch 3-K inning? And for the White Sox tie-in...it's only been done once in White Sox history. Wilson Alvarez, 1997, and yes, I got video. https://www.mlb.com/video/alvarez-strikes-out-four-in-7th/c-1873961883
  6. When I saw Schererville, I was wondering if he went to Lake Central, where I went, but of course, he went to Andrean. Should have known.
  7. I'll continue to see these athletes as humans with emotions. I'm sorry you feel differently.
  8. Well you're exactly describing a Range Extender, so that's why I was confused if you were being facetious or not.
  9. But seriously, any "excess" pitching that you can't find a spot for becomes currency. Sure, you can't USE all those starters at the same time, so you pick your favorites and sell the rest off to supplement the rest of your roster.
  10. Uhhh.......I can't tell if this is sarcasm....but......yes.
  11. I was just about to mention this. He was hitting like .309 on Monday. That's what small sample size does. Guess what, if he goes 4 for 4 tomorrow, his AVG will be .307. That's an 80 point difference in one game. There no reason to worry about Robert whatsoever.
  12. Yeah, I've done some basic googling and I can't seem to find anything. Also doesn't help that he has such a generic name. I just hit up Jesse Sanchez on twitter to see if he has any info.
  13. Do we know anything about J-Rod outside of his statline?
  14. I'm not basing my interpretation of Kopech being frustrated with AAA on anything but his Instagram Live videos that I skim through, and someone almost always asks him when he's going to get to Chicago and on more than 1 occasion I've seen his body language become annoyed and if I recall correctly he even shrugged one time recently and said "who knows" while exhaling, before catching himself and then going on about when it's his time, it's his time. It's that in which I get the sense that he is frustrated or annoyed, because I've more or less seen it. Can't say the same about Eloy.
  15. Yeah, we certainly wouldn't want him screwing up our playoff push this year. Better off letting him continue to be frustrated at being stuck in AAA and let him stew on that for another few months during these precious games.
  16. Not only would it be foolish for the Sox to flip Covey this soon, it would be equally foolish for a GM to buy in to this sample size. A trade for Covey now wouldn't get back anything CLOSE to the value it could get back if he continued his progression and is actually good now. And any GM willing to pay for that value on the assumption that he IS good now would be taking a big risk.
  17. I took my girlfriend through the entire journey recently as well, and just for curiosity we watched them in Chronological order, not release order. But I didn't want to make her watch Episodes 1, 2 and 3 and ruin her taste of the series. So we found some 10-minute recap videos of each to explain the backstories. It has left her a little fuzzy about certain things, but it saved about 8 hours of keeping her interest.
  18. This is what I was asking earlier as well. I couldn't figure out who she was supposed to be in the later movies, but I guess she isn't anyone prominent later on. Or maybe we get another anthology movie in between and they show what becomes of her.
  19. Anyone else watching The Staircase? I've been wanting to watch it for years, but the fact that 3 new episodes have been added 14 years later intrigues the fuck out of me. I'm in episode 4 right now, and holy shit what an interesting case.
  20. We don't know what he's been working on. He was told to improve his change-up before he got the call up. So it's possible he's been throwing far more change-ups than he normally would, which results in hitters guessing correctly on, or it being the hardest pitch for him to locate, I'm not really sure. Not saying that IS the reason, but I think his starts in the majors could be a better reflection of his command than his starts in AAA right now.
