Our catching situation is so grim right now that old man Salvy is something I'm almost looking forward to. He'll be mediocre to bad behind the plate, which is at worst a wash and at best a MASSIVE improvement, and he'll hit homers sometimes. Hopefully he can help Lee out (and Quero during spring training).

OK, FINE.

Sox ain't gonna score here. Strategy is to keep this game going as long as possible and give all Seattle players heat stroke so they miss the playoffs.

Call stands.

God damn it this game is gonna go extras isn't it?

Nice game for Colas. He's looked a lot better lately.

Like if my "hasn't played baseball since freshman year of high school" ass can see that a pitcher is hanging his slider and lost control of his fastball SEVERAL BATTERS AGO, why can't Pedro or Katz? What is going on here?

Gameplan: hit everyone on Seattle when you get to two strikes

This is closer abuse

Yeah, they're gonna lose this one. Santos is clearly done what the f*** are they doing

No idea why he's in there. He's been hanging that slider all inning and now he's over 30 pitches.

Mariners trying to win every game. Playing the last two games like they're playoff games.

3-4-5 in the lineup 0-12 with 7 strikeouts.

Sox look like they have zero scouting or plan on Weaver. He's missing over the middle with his sweeper and they're swinging way early.

Santos's slider is DISGUSTING when he's throwing it well. Mariners still building a threat though.

It's a stolen base party off Perez

5 2/3 3 runs for Kirby against this group of misfits is a terrible start. Better trade him for Trayce Thompson now, Seattle, before you regret it.

It all depends on if he's a man of Christ or not

Looks like Trayce is gonna go on one of those heaters

Still can't get through 5 innings even when he's pitching alright.

Three players in the lineup with an OPS above .700 today. Woof.

Is the Mariners starter also throwing only fastballs? I'm paying sporadic attention on MLB Gameday but all I've seen is fastballs and one cutter so far.

I'll give Eder a break due to his Tommy John surgery in 2021, missing all of 2022, and this being a recovery season. He'll likely be at AA next year again to start, and that'll be his make or break season, most likely.

Jacob Gonzalez first home run. 106 off the bat, 395'. 3-0 Cannonballers.

Time for me to watch the minors again. Nice that MiLB is included with MLB.tv now.
