  1. This is hard to watch. A ton of terrible pitches, then a fastball up in the zone and right down the middle. We can't do anything.
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 10:17 PM) Why throw it that high?I don't think it was supposed to be that high. He's overthrowing.
  3. Chris Sale gets in his own way so much.
  4. It's probably because the ratings are terrible, to be honest. I don't know many Sox fans in Central IL - mostly Cubs and Cardinals.
  5. Eaton single, Rollins opposite field HR. 7-0 Sox.
  6. Anderson is real predictable with his changeup. Lots of really hard hits off it so far. 5-0 Sox after a triple by Sanchez and a bomb of a sac fly (400+ feet) by Lombardozzi.
  7. Eaton ground out, Rollins single, Abreu infield single + throwing error (2nd & 3rd), Cabrera single to score Rollins, Avi Garcia triple to RF to score 2. 3-0 Sox.
  8. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Mar 3, 2016 -> 02:24 PM) The guy in the booth who is not Russ Langhor (Brian Anderson maybe?), thinks Eaton is in CF. Kept commenting on when May and Avi kind of flubbed a play in the OF and even during the replay he thought it was Adam. It's Brian Anderson
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 10, 2016 -> 03:57 PM) There is no surplus value in this deal, unless you want to price Trout at say $40 million per year. At any rate, there are only a few teams that could take on the last few years of that deal without it hurting the rest of their payroll. 2016 24 Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim $16,083,000 2017 25 Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim $20,083,000 2018 26 Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim $34,083,000 2019 27 Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim $34,083,000 2020 28 Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim $34,085,000 Well, if he stays a 9 WAR player, he'd be "worth" what, $72 million/year? Obviously that's absurd, but I would guess most teams would at least view 2016 and 2017 as a worthwhile investment providing value. Beyond that, he's paid what he's "worth", but it covers his prime years, so you're likely to get good production for your money.
  10. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Feb 10, 2016 -> 02:45 PM) He said the Angels have easily the worst farm system he's seen in all of his years of ranking systems. They could easily go last to first if they decide to trade Trout, and I wonder about that - he's probably the best player in baseball, but that team is getting old and bad fast. He's also going to get very expensive over the next couple years, and he won't be providing the insane surplus value he does right now. I know we often laugh off Chris Sale trade suggestions, but I wonder if the long-term health of the Angels franchise would be better if they trade Trout.

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Nov 13, 2015 -> 07:41 PM) Uncharted 2 is still one of my favorite games. I got hooked on the multiplayer in 3 as well (yes, I know I'm doing it wrong). Can't wait for 4 to come out. I can't decide if I want to get Battlefront or not. I fear it will be like Destiny in that it's a fun but highly flawed game that I won't play for more than a few weeks unless I have some friends to keep dragging me back to it (you people know you who you are!). C'mon back to Destiny. The new raid is a blast.
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 6, 2015 -> 02:38 PM) I wouldn't mind Weiters either, but that is Boras. I am thinking Avila with how they always talk him up. If healthy he can hit. I would rather the Sox pay Avila a little money than send players for Jason Castro.Avila hasn't been good since 2011. I don't think you can count on him for anything better than Flowers gives you.
  14. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 10:52 AM) They appear to not be terribly fond of Cuddyer. Or Eric Hosmer
  15. AJ is in the booth for this one. I wonder if when he retires, we'd give him a call?
  16. Astros with 2 in the top of the first.
  17. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 29, 2015 -> 10:36 AM) Yea, but you have to put them on the suspicion of PED list as well. Roger Clemens.....Sure, but I don't know if there's ever been a concrete example of steroids helping pitchers as much as they helped hitters. I feel like the extremely offense-heavy nature of the era backs that up.
  18. It also makes the pitchers who dominated in that era look even better.
  19. nfl.com is saying it's a conditional pick.

Destiny: The Taken King is so far a worthwhile investment. It definitely feels like a finished game now.
  21. Jays killing the Tigers right now 15-1. Encarnacion 3 home runs 9 rbi.
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 23, 2015 -> 03:56 PM) Danks just sucks. Soto also calls a terrible game, but at least Cooper has sat on his ass all inningI don't think Soto is telling him to hang all those changeups. Should probably stop calling them for a bit though, since Danks is leaving them over the middle of the plate.
  23. Bad team means bad Danks. 3-1 Mariners.
