QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 24, 2015 -> 07:53 PM) He's fine. Just a little bruise.Man I hope so. He fell hard but it didn't look awkward or like he pulled anything.

4/24-26 - The Pale Hose vs. The Team That Inspired Lorde's Angst
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 24, 2015 -> 07:49 PM) It's exactly like that. Exactly.Yep! Spinner down the line we misplay, get him over to third, duck snort base hit. Feels like 2003. At some point in this game Carlos Lee will pinch hit and be robbed of a homer.

Man playing these guys is like playing the early 2000s Twins. I will be so surprised if Orlando doesn't score.

GAME THREAD 4/10, MIN @ SOX
QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 10, 2015 -> 04:34 PM) I'm starting to think our advanced scouts suck. I've wondered about this too - we seem so unprepared sometimes compared to other teams.

Torii Hunter in a Twins uniform is giving me some bad flashbacks to the early 2000s...

GAME THREAD 4/10, MIN @ SOX
I almost cannot believe this is a major league offense in this game.

Geez 47 pitches starting the 6th for Volquez.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 08:41 PM) 2 games. 6 AB's.Dude, what part of "he's probably going to be fine this year" did you not understand?

White Sox @ Royals 7:10 CT
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 08:38 PM) Are you even watching the game or just making ridiculous claims? No, but apparently I'm getting you all worked up for some reason? Relax, I missed the early part of this game and hadn't checked a box score. I was excited about the signing but all I've seen when watching him have bad at-bats, and sometimes I worry we're cursed and every lefty power bat is going to come here and hit .160.

White Sox @ Royals 7:10 CT
QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 08:35 PM) LaRoche is infamous for looking like absolute s*** at times. I remember he struck out 3 times on opening day two years ago against the Cubs. He hit 33 home runs that year... Yeah, some friends of mine in DC mentioned that to me when we signed him. I'm sure he'll be fine for the year, but some of his at-bats...

White Sox @ Royals 7:10 CT
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 08:33 PM) So that double that kept the inning alive in the 2nd means nothing? No, I missed that. I thought he got hit by a pitch.

White Sox @ Royals 7:10 CT
QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 08:28 PM) That's all you needed to sayNo, you left out the part where LaRoche has looked terrible. Don't forget that part, because he has. Players can look terrible over short stretches and be called out on it. If you don't like it, ignore the comments or post something positive.

White Sox @ Royals 7:10 CT
QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 08:26 PM) lolDo you have a different opinion? Yeah, it's only been 1.5 games, but he's looked pretty terrible so far.

White Sox @ Royals 7:10 CT
So far, not much to like with LaRoche.

2015 Opening Day Thread
I don't get it - Flowers is a catcher, he knows that they're going to call for a s***ty offspeed pitch in the dirt after he just flailed wildly at a s***ty offspeed pitch in the dirt. Can he just not recognize pitches or what?

ESPN Sox vs Cubs Article
QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 03:52 PM) I don't think he said Baez would be great at all, but when you are going head to head against Beckham/Bonifacio you wouldn't rather see how this kid with massive power potential does? I'd rather have Baez there too.Beckham/Bonifacio don't figure to be the starter, though. Johnson/Sanchez are a better bet, with Beckham/Bonifacio being utility players.

ESPN Sox vs Cubs Article
QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 03:48 PM) That's fair but I think if you include Adam LaRoche as a "bench" player than I don't see how you give the edge to the cubs there. I also do not care really, as the Cubs are not in the White Sox division. But there's risk in the cubs projections that aren't acknowledged. You've seen the Sox position player flaws, but you assume Soler will have a smooth transition. Or that Baez is going to be great after hitting .160 with a million strikeouts

ESPN Sox vs Cubs Article
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 03:34 PM) http://espn.go.com/blog/sweetspot/post/_/i...sox-versus-cubs Your thoughts? I think his concerns about the White Sox holes are valid, but the overall theme was "oh man all these Cubs prospects are going to be soooooo awesome immediately", which is just silly. Overall, biased garbage from an obvious Cubs fan.

Keith Law's farm system rankings
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 28, 2015 -> 10:33 AM) White Sox 12th. First top-half finish in a long time. But we cannot be putting in large parts of the article here. People can summarize in their own words, or do little quotes or snippets. But we can't go pasting large parts of billable content here. Yeah, I understand that, which is why I mentioned a summary of the Sox + the ranking list. I figured that would be ok.
