  1. Well, the bullpen is a big issue this year again so far
  2. Eh I’m ok if they decide to hit 3+ homers a game
  3. Murakami can just hit a homer a game. I’m fine with that.
  4. See right before that grand slam I said “boy a grand slam sure would be cool here”
  5. Cubs getting shelled 7-2 in the 4th. Boyd chased.
  6. Yea he's not, but he's got a pretty reckless playing style so I wouldn't be surprised if he starts getting injured.
  7. That's why I said he's a 3+ WAR guy even if he's not hitting. The issues I have with him are more potential injuries and his personality running thin.
  8. Guessing low/mid 70s. Offense should be better than last year with Murakami and with some more experience for the young guys. Bullpen should be better. Starting pitching is the weakness and is where win variance will come from.
  9. I can see why they did it, because even if he's not hitting PCA is still a 3+ WAR player from defense alone, but also $19m a year for 6 years is a lot of investment for a volatile guy like him. This could very easily backfire and it sure would make me sad...
  10. McGuire must be somewhat useful and liked in clubhouses otherwise he wouldn't continue to find work after getting caught jerkin' off in a parking lot. Is Cal Quantrill still pitching? Hope we get a repeat of this https://x.com/barstoolsports/status/1816215259537105089 Otherwise I guess I'm not shocked to see this extremely minor news get to 8 pages knowing this board.
  11. That was really cool. Getting to see live ABs like this is wild.
  12. I'd say free agency has gone pretty well. They signed the best safety and linebacker on the market, got a rotational DT, resigned a solid LB option in D'Marco Jackson, and navigated the cap pretty well by keeping first year salary impact low. They weren't going to make a big splash because they didn't have the cap room to do so with the holes they have. They've filled a number of holes with quality players, and can now draft more for BPA than need.
  13. Guys must've gotten tired running around the bases over and over
  14. Athletic gave the Bears an A- for the trade. Bills a B.
  15. Edmunds would be another $15 million
  16. Cubs pitching getting absolutely LIT UP by the Reds today. 15-6 so far. Boy I hope the Cubs end up the third best team in that division.
  17. Let's stop getting thrown out at home please. And hitting weak grounders to a drawn in infield while we're at it.
  18. Gotta work on those rundowns. Yeesh.
  19. I can see why Iriarte has fallen off prospect lists.
  20. Bleh, almost got out of the jam. 2 run double with 2 outs, now 6-5 Sox.
  21. Sheesh give up a homer to the punch and judy Cal Raleigh.
  22. Can we just beat the crap out of the Cubs like this every time this year?
