  1. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 9, 2016 -> 03:18 PM) Unbelievable..... I take it you think Kenny is out of the player procurement game? Leaving it all to Hahn?
  2. Hopefully Rollins and Avila are next on the chopping block...as far as the roster.
  3. Just start winning games. Can't get excited about anything on the 25-man roster until they get over .500 and stay there for a while again.
  4. Latos starts - 11, if that's the end.
  5. Shields has 5-6 starts before the break. Take it all in. He's here to be a #4 starter that makes his starts and puts up innings. Last night sucked, but you can't deny his track record. Rosenbloom is a clown with a forum, for some reason.
  6. The five current AL playoff teams have scored the most runs in the league. Nobody is pitching their way to wins in the AL. Red Sox, Mariners, Orioles, Rangers, and Indians have averaged 5.02 runs per game. ------ The White Sox are at 4.03 runs per game. First 33 games 4.21 RS -3.06 RA Last 26 games 3.81 RS -5.35 RA
  7. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Jun 9, 2016 -> 06:48 AM) I have said it once and will say it again. If we lose each game the rest of the season, Robin doesn't get fired until the end of the season. He's here for the remainder of the year like it or not. While probably true, I'm hoping they do something next week if they don't go at least 4-3 the rest of it. 9-24 or worse after 23-10 for a manager in his last season, they should hand it over to Renteria on the 16th.
  8. 6-13 vs Det 6-19 at Cle 6-24 vs Tor 6-30 vs Min 7-5 vs NY 7-10 vs Atl Lots of home games for Shields. Good luck.
  9. Break up the Twins. They're gaining a game on the whole division today.
  10. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jun 8, 2016 -> 11:08 PM) This has probably already been posted, but still... https://twitter.com/scottlindholm/status/740747126972518400 It's a lot more common around baseball now that starters aren't expected to go past the 6th inning. If a game gets out of hand, it's a valid strategy to protect the pen and prevent having to make a roster move. Necessary evil in some cases.
  11. Hawk is going to open the paper tomorrow and find out the Sox indeed did give them a finish.
  12. The Sox are going to start winning games again. They aren't going to play the next 27 games at 7-20. The thing that's going to happen is they'll play well enough to make some trades that won't make a difference when they ultimately lose to division teams the final 33 games of the season.
  13. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 8, 2016 -> 10:38 PM) It's probably more applicable to start when they added the extra playoff game. It is easier to make it now than in 1995. Yeah, but that was only a few years ago, and there have always been weak divisions here and there.
  14. Wonder what the worst 26 game stretch of any playoff team since 1995 is?
  15. Should have been up for that inning in KC. Ha.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2016 -> 10:14 PM) Truly amazing to me that people want to blame KW for this. Wait...they should all go, but he doesn't deserve as much or more blame than Hahn? He's Hahn's boss, and he sucked before the move upstairs anyway.
  17. Shuck warming in the pen is bad optics while you're going 6-20.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2016 -> 10:05 PM) And why Hahn and Ventura should be fired immediately. They're the anti-Epstein/Maddon. Just curious, why not Kenny too? Epstein is to Kenny, Hoyer is to Hahn, correct?
  19. The team is broken. All of their moves look like s***, because they are s***.
  20. On the plus side, I think this Nats team could dispense the Cubs in October. They look great.
