Sox (29-28) vs Nats (34-23)
21 of 31 games until the break are at home. It's time they go 19-12 in those 31 games. Play like a winning team.

Sox (29-28) vs Nats (34-23)
QUOTE (Scoots @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 12:11 PM) I was at the game in Detroit on Sunday, and paid close attention to players reactions and what not when things didn't go their way. Trust me, they care. Judging from a lot of the players reactions, its not that they have given up, but they are frustrated. Once things start bouncing their way, they will get back on track. This division is very fragile, season isn't over by a long shot. Yes, they do need to be playing better baseball. With the track record from a lot of these players, I think it will come, only a matter of time. Hopefully Shields walking into the clubhouse today and being home will give them the shot in the arm they need. They care. And if you look at the injuries going on in the division, the Sox should be able to get right back in there. The team I'm most worried about going on a run now is the Tigers. That lineup can be potent and Michael Fulmer is showing why he's a good pitcher.

Sox (29-28) vs Nats (34-23)
Eh, it doesn't look good based on 3-12 vs the other three, but there's one way to remedy that over the next couple weeks. Do it!

If Lux falls to 26, does signability become a factor, or not really?

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 07:38 AM) Are Melky & Jackson back yet? Sounded like Melky was coming back today. Jackson may be heading to the DL today if he isn't ready.

Momentum in the AL Central...
They're going to have to do a good job of forgetting everything that's happened thus far this season- good or bad. It's basically a four month season now with similar records for all four. After the Nationals series, it's Royals-Tigers-Indians again. Time to start winning ballgames.

Robin Ventura should be fired today
QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 6, 2016 -> 11:16 AM) I don't think many are opposed to RV going but are making the case that it won't make much of a difference. Making the player changes are much more important. you are spending far too much energy and angst on a move that won't make the difference. Channel the energy at the players to improve or for Hahn to improve the roster. That's a chance I'd like them to take. Ventura should have never managed a major league game to begin with, and he'll never do it again. So having a built in interim manager like Rick Renteria makes sense to most. It's absolutely worth a shot since it's already most likely the Sox won't make the playoffs and they won't renew Ventura after the season anyway. Big homestand coming up. 6-3 is a must, in my opinion.

Robin Ventura should be fired today
QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 6, 2016 -> 10:54 AM) Making trades to improve the team doesn't? You can't do both? Are people actually wanting Robin to stay because: A) He's a good manager B) Manager doesn't matter, so why change in the middle of a season? C) I take the side of management no matter what, so until they make the move, I support their decisions. D) It's mostly unlikely they make a change, so I'll take that side because it's the "winning" side.

2016 MLB Draft
Callis said if the Brewers don't take Ray at 5, he thinks he'll fall to the Sox at 10. Sounds good to me. Also said, Ray or Lux at 10, and a college arm at 26.

Robin Ventura should be fired today
QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jun 6, 2016 -> 10:21 AM) I know right. Just be content with a s***ty team, lineup, and manager. Hey at least we're 1 over! Firing him wouldn't fix everything but it'd show everyone that they're serious about winning this year. Let a real manager take over like Renteria. Giving Renteria the interim tag makes the most sense if the Sox have a losing homestand. It's just time. Either that, or just play out the rest of the season with nobody watching, and Ventura will go quietly into the night.
