  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 3, 2015 -> 01:27 PM) Still think he could sign a few months into the season, possibly with the Cubs. Seems like a Theo move. Seems possible, but for his own interests, it's possible the whole year with the Sox has been a giant headache for him. I don't know that, but maybe he wants to get out of Dodge.
  2. My hope is they give him the QO and he doesn't want anything to do with signing with the Sox. Sign a one-year deal with somebody else, and gamble on a better contract for 2017-2020.
  3. KC series: Danks - Medlen Quintana - Duffy Johnson - Cueto Maybe a Saturday win, but probably not.
  4. Erik Johnson starting Sunday in KC. Sale on Monday at home vs Indians.
  5. Samardzija vs Gibson Sox lineup https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/639459411270893568 Twins lineup, sans Sano https://twitter.com/LaVelleNeal/status/639453682812121088
  6. So much for the Sox getting a sweep. Now I hope they get swept, because I'd rather see the Twins in over the Rangers. Starting to see some separation, and it may come down to the Twins and Rangers, and who can get to 86 wins. AL Wildcard NY 74-58 +4.0 Tex 70-62 -- Min 69-63 1.0 LAA 67-66 3.5 TB 66-67 4.5 AL East Tor 76-57 -- NY 74-58 1.5 AL West Hou 73-61 -- Tex 70-62 2.0 LAA 67-66 5.5 The National League is done. Absolutely nothing to watch the rest of the regular season.
  7. Kershaw CG. Dodgers sweep the Giants. Not a lot of drama in the NL this year. Basically the only thing on the line is Dodgers at Mets or Mets at Dodgers in the NLDS.
  8. Ventura should be held accountable for being the "leader" of a s***ty team. The daily complaints about lineups and in-game decisions do need to stop because the team is playing meaningless games the rest of the season. What I don't understand is anyone actually wanting Ventura back next year. He's a bad manager. Always has been.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 2, 2015 -> 11:13 PM) This team is so bad. Please shut down Sale, Rodon, Q and Danks. Even Robertson. No reason to pitch any of those guys. Give the starts to EJ, Montas, Shark and whomever else. It's time for Sale to go 32 starts/220 innings. Aces don't get shut down. They finish the season like a man. Rodon is at about 130 innings. Four more starts, then shut him down.
  10. QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Sep 2, 2015 -> 10:26 PM) 10th time the Sox have been shutout this season. Bad...just bad. Mark It was also the 70th time they lost a game, and they have 31 games left.
  11. Just my humble opinion--we can stop digging into every little decision about lineups and pitching changes. The coaching staff already has proven to be garbage over the last few years. They gotta go, and if they don't, well, they'll get what they deserve in the W-L columns next year, poor attendance, and low TV and radio ratings.
  12. Day game tomorrow with Shark on the mound. I smell a sweep. Maybe a quick hook and EJ gets some innings.
  13. That's fine. Get this over with.
  14. Sox https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/639180062038724608 Twins https://twitter.com/LaVelleNeal/status/639179199362674689
  15. 19 quality starts (team 14-5) 139.2 innings, 1.61 ERA, 86 hits, 26 runs, 25 earned runs, 22 walks, 187 strikeouts 7 non-quality starts (team 1-6) 38.0 innings, 9.47 ERA, 63 hits, 42 runs, 40 earned runs, 14 walks, 52 strikeouts
  16. I remember the start times for those playoff games were terrible. Nobody could see the ball in Seattle. Knowing what we know about the 1998-2002 scoring environment, I'm not too sad they didn't win it all that year.
  17. Opening Night when Durham laid out for one of the best catches I've seen in person.
  18. QUOTE (Dunt @ Sep 1, 2015 -> 10:26 PM) Loss for the Sox and wins by Detroit and Seattle tonight. Could jump as high as 7th pick by the end of the week. To be 7th, they'll have to be worst team in the AL. That would be a good way to put an exclamation point on this season.
  19. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Sep 1, 2015 -> 10:08 PM) f*** NO! Eh, they'll just go to Yankee Stadium and lose. I hate the Rangers for some reason, although kudos to Banister this season. He actually earned his managerial job.
  20. On the positive side, I'd rather see the Twins get a WC than the Rangers. Help 'em out.
  21. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 1, 2015 -> 10:01 PM) I want Cooper back please Time to change the culture. I'll take my chances without the great Coop and his overrated pitching staff.
  22. I hope on October 5th, the Sox announce Robin Ventura's resignation, and the dismissal of the entire coaching staff. Not too much to ask for, right?
  23. Or is Coop's fault, if he manages the pitchers? Remember, with the White Sox you have to shuffle the blame around to cause confusion and ultimately not blame anyone but the player.
