  1. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Aug 10, 2015 -> 11:32 AM) People act like the Cubs have won a spot already. 80% shot right now, and then they have to win a road game to continue. The way I see it... The Cubs played the game the last 4 years. They took their lumps, they have smart people running their organization, they have a brilliant manager, and they're going to be a winning team for the next several years. If you have animosity toward them and want them to lose, wait til October, because that's where they'll be most of the next 6 years.
  2. 12th pick still but close to a lot better than that. Considering 25 more division games, 7 with the Angels, and 4 with the Yankees, the Sox could still end up with the worst AL record. That should net them a top 5.
  3. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 2, 2015 -> 07:28 PM) Next 4 series: LAA 55-49, 3 vs Cle, 3 vs Bal, 3 at Sox, 4 at KC Min 54-50, 4 at Tor, 3 at Cle, 3 vs Tex, 3 vs Cle Bal 53-51, 3 at Oak, 3 at LAA, 3 at Sea, 4 vs Oak Tor 54-52, 4 vs Min, 3 at NY, 3 vs Oak, 3 vs NY TB 52-54, 3 at Sox, 3 vs NYM, 2 vs Atl, 3 at Tex Tex 51-53, 3 vs Hou, 3 at Sea, 3 at Min, 3 vs TB Det 51-54, 3 vs KC, 3 vs Bos, 3 at KC, 3 at Hou Sox 50-53, 3 vs TB, 3 at KC, 3 vs LAA, 3 vs Cubs A 9-3 run wouldn't hurt right about now. Sox need to win games, Twins to fall apart, and the Orioles to have a bad west coast trip the next two weeks. Sox did not win games. Twins are irrelevant. Orioles 3-3 on the west coast. Past week: Blue Jays 7-0 Angels 4-2 Orioles 3-3 Rays 4-2 Rangers 4-2 Twins 1-6 Tigers 3-3 White Sox 1-5 I really can't see the five current postseason teams falling out of it. Maybe if the Yankees just bomb, and the Orioles get on a run the last five weeks of the season.
  4. QUOTE (muddywolfjohnson @ Aug 9, 2015 -> 04:29 PM) Man, what a heartbreaker this series was... Any real emotion for this team went out the window for me when McEwing sent Alexei home last week. That was the nail in the coffin.
  5. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 9, 2015 -> 04:19 PM) Hahn is a clown also and needs s*** canned. The thing that we don't know... did Hahn put this club together in Kenny's vision for the club? Meaning, does Hahn think like Kenny? Or is he just doing what his boss wants him to do within the parameters of Kenny's approach? I'm a Hahn fan as a person and a communicator. If you promised me Kenny, Buddy, and the entire coaching staff gone, I wouldn't be against Hahn hiring his own manager and giving him three years to get a better path for this team. But, that won't happen.
  6. QUOTE (harkness @ Aug 9, 2015 -> 04:18 PM) Robin Ventura's record vs the AL Central has to be so bad. Cle (30-39)- 11-7, 2-17, 9-10, 8-5 Det (27-41)- 6-12, 7-12, 9-10, 5-7 KC (24-45)- 6-12, 9-10, 6-13, 3-10 Min (35-34)- 14-4, 8-11, 9-10, 4-9 116-159 (.422) That's like a 68-94 team against your own division. Over 275 games. Everything is ok though.
  7. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 9, 2015 -> 04:15 PM) Told you guys Not a big leap there.
  8. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 9, 2015 -> 04:15 PM) A team of guys just collecting paychecks at this point. Sox are KC complete little b****. Melky should line up on the field for high fives.
  9. Well...Greg had a point...they did get swept.
  10. How will Conor Gillaspie get us this week too?
  11. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 9, 2015 -> 04:04 PM) Is there any doubt this game will end 7-4? Ok, 5-4. Loss is a loss.
  12. Is there any doubt this game will end 7-4?
  13. Also, the hugging s*** needs to stop.
  14. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 9, 2015 -> 03:50 PM) Good job by Melky but we all know how this game will end Exactly.

  16. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20150809 Fulmer going today.
  17. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Aug 9, 2015 -> 10:55 AM) strange day to give him off. You can do that when you're 65-44. Moustakas too.
  18. Quintana vs Duffy. Thompson first ML start. https://twitter.com/ChiTribKane/status/630395502023024640
  19. I gotta say...the level of fraternization that goes on these days pisses me off too. I can understand when two opponents run into each other and they want to squash a potential problem by slapping a shoulder, that's fine. Hugging an opponent on the field during 162? That ain't cool. Not at all. As far as beards, I'm not a fan, but it is what it is unless an owner or manager says "clean it up". I can ignore that a lot more than all of the ass grabbing with opponents during games. And while I'm on a roll...the "get a single, look at the dugout, stir it up, blow it up, blow it out your ass" thing they're doing is stupid too.
  20. 12th pick. And the Marlins are the worst. Phillies decided to play good baseball recently.
  21. After 108: KC 64-44 NY 61-47 Hou 60-48 LAA 58-50 Tor 56-52 Bal 55-53 TB 54-54 Min 54-54 Tex 54-54 Det 53-55 Chi 51-57 Sea 50-58 Cle 49-59 Oak 48-60 Bos 48-60 Division winners may flip in the East and West, but those top 5 should be playing past October 5th.
  22. 4.31 starting pitcher ERA. Not good. Royals are a little worse, but they do everything better than the Sox.
