  1. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 8, 2015 -> 04:16 PM) Everyone had the Sox skipping Trout and the Angels taking him, but damn, if it doesn't hurt every time I see him play. He actually has a shot at being the GOAT. That's insane. Listening to Hostetler now. He said, "I saw Trout play (in high school). He was at SS on a Saturday morning, 10am game. He went 1-4, with 2 strikeouts."
  2. I think we're really grasping at straws to find reasons to keep Ventura as manager. His time as manager has been a disaster. The team was ill-prepared coming out of spring training. We saw it. He's managed a team that folded in a weak division in 2012. He's had teams that did quit--2013. 99 losses? C'mon. I'm hoping that with his career earnings and relationship with Reinsdorf and the organization, he'll step aside as manager and be "reassigned within the organization". It's time for a change, and really, there's no good reason to argue this point anymore.
  3. Trout hits homer 33 and 131 of his career on his 24th birthday. Not a bad player. Kid's got a future in this game...
  4. Tuiasosopo with a hat trick---the good kind.
  5. The little things...perfect game to illustrate why they're in first, and the Sox aren't a .500 team.
  6. Friday- Regular win Saturday-Tough Loss Sunday-Regular Loss
  7. On Draft Day 2014, I never heard of Kyle Schwarber, so I'm not pointing fingers... That said, if they did a re-draft now and the Astros and Marlins still took Aiken and Kolek, would the Sox be dumb not to take Schwarber, or are we still happy with Rodon?
  8. Both lineups https://twitter.com/Royals/status/629732511573086208 Umpire crew looks bad too.
  9. A preemptive... Hawk shut the f*** up about Kansas City Specials.
  10. Danks vs Volquez Hot and humid all weekend in KC...lively ballpark... Pods in the booth with Hawk. More 05 talk!
  11. Rodon vs Ramirez No Thompson today https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/628954300480253952 Rays https://twitter.com/RaysBaseball/status/628953817099284480
  12. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 5, 2015 -> 08:19 AM) That's a totally different team since the Tulo acquisition, though. Then Price, their confidence just went right through the roof. They'll easily get to 87-88 maybe 89 wins imo. Agreed. I think they'll dominate the final 54. 32-22, at minimum. But 34-20 wouldn't surprise me.
  13. None of the above. I know what I would do, but they're just going to hire Jim Thome.
  14. Blue Jays are the second wildcard, on pace for 84 wins. I think they'll easily host the wildcard game, if not catch the Yankees. http://espn.go.com/mlb/standings/_/view/wild-card
  15. Some misplaced anger tonight, but can they just call it a day on Beckham finally and give his ABs to somebody else? Enough is enough.
  16. Getaway day game against the Rays? Rodon's got a shot tomorrow...
  17. QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 09:45 PM) I got blocked by David Haugh for asking him why is he silent on Robin now that we're on a losing streak? He had no problem pointing out the great job he's doing during the run. You're probably better off.
  18. Jeez Greg, why not mention Dusty Baker too?
  19. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 09:26 PM) If RV, KW and Hahn all come back they will bail in droves, I'm a Hahn guy. Unless he's in lock-step with Kenny, I think he should return and run the team in his overall view. Kenny, Bell, and the entire coaching staff must go if they want to get better, ever again.
  20. Seeing the state of the team more clearly now that the 7-game win streak mirage is over, the Sox would be stupid to sign Samardzija. Waste of money for a bad team. Bring in Johnson and Montas, take your lumps, and stop fooling yourself that you're a good team.
  21. Give Thompson an AB so he doesn't have to think about tomorrow all night.
  22. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 08:57 PM) You really think RV is gone? It may be wishful thinking, but I think he'll step aside.
