GT: White Sox (40-44) vs. Scrubs (46-39) [3:05CT / 4:05ET]

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 05:24 PM) Do not agree with Sale staying in. Especially if it means they push him back in the rotation after the break. I'd rather see him and Shark start on Friday vs KC. -
Buehrle gave up a quick first inning run, but 23 pitches in 3 innings. Hope he gets his 10th win today in KC, even though we should probably be rooting for KC in the game.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 01:23 PM) Will they be able to start at 3? Just looked at the radar again, and it looks like it may be breaking up as it gets close to the area. They'll play on time, I think. -
Tigers sign Neftali Feliz. First reported by Pedro Martinez.

Big blob of rain coming. They should get it in though. -
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 10:36 AM) Don't they get a 26th man for doubleheader? Maybe he can start the second game to keep everyone on normal rest. With the off day on Monday, they really don't have to skip anyone. They could bring up a relief pitcher that day.
-
QUOTE (Mike F. @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 10:04 AM) They should skip his starts against Minnesota so he can win the Cy Young haha. He's had issues with the Indians too. I'll trust if he's on, he'll beat anyone on a given day.

QUOTE (Mike F. @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 09:46 AM) Sale needs to start as many times as possible if the Sox want to get back into the race. They'll each get three starts after the break in July, but they need to set the tone right after the break. Plus the long range schedule matches up well for Sale to get as many starts as possible. Sale's schedule: 7-17 vs KC 7-22 vs StL 7-27 at Bos 8-1 vs NY 8-7 at KC 8-12 vs LAA 8-18 at LAA 8-23 at Sea 8-28 vs Sea 9-3 at Min 9-8 vs Cle 9-13 vs Min 9-18 at Cle 9-23 at Det 9-29 vs KC 10-4 vs Det (last day of regular season if they need him)

QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 09:04 PM) Good division this week...15-3 since Monday. Chi vs Tor 3-1 Cle vs Hou 3-1 Det at Sea 2-1 KC vs TB 4-0 Min vs Bal 3-0 Another 3-0 against teams outside of the division. Definitely the toughest division in the league.

Hopefully Sale isn't pitching Tuesday unless it's a quick one inning that could be considered a side day. They need the horses right out of the gate if they want to get back in it. Rest of the Month: 7-17 KC Sale and Samardzija 7-18 KC Quintana 7-19 KC Danks 7-20 off 7-21 Stl Rodon (extra time for the finger to heal) 7-22 Stl Sale 7-23 Cle Samardzija 7-24 Cle Quintana 7-25 Cle Danks 7-26 Cle Rodon 7-27 Bos Sale 7-28 Bos Samardzija 7-29 Bos Quintana 7-30 Bos Danks 7-31 NY Rodon

The original Turn Back the Clock Day was 25 years ago today. http://www.sportingnews.com/mlb/story/2015...-back-clock-day Really fun concept at the time. Brutal outcome to the game. I was so mad that day. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CH...199007110.shtml

Well, it's that time of year again....2015 edition

12-6 the last 18, and won 7 of those 12 games scoring 3 or fewer runs. That's not a good sign, but if this season proves anything, you don't have to be a consistently good baseball team to make the postseason. It's going to be an interesting 3 weeks. -

They produced a position player! Mission accomplished!

Batting 2nd- Tyler Saladino. I bet the casual Sox fan is saying, who? -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 04:14 PM) 30 year old 3rd basemen (or would be, beginning next year) who is eligible for free agency in 2018 and would get a pretty big raise in 2017. I'm not trading Rodon, who is cost controlled for much longer for him. I'd trade for Frazier and think he would be a good get, but Rodon is one of the top young pitchers in the game. I'd give him up for one of the top young position talents in the game but not Frazier. It probably won't come to that anyway, but I think Frazier will age well the next 5-7 years. He would be a very good get for any team if the Reds are willing.
-
I'd love Todd Frazier on this club. If the Sox somehow got back to .500 by July 30, I'd trade Rodon to get him.
-
Get to 50-50 with 62 left.

Winning the season series 4-3 against the Blue Jays doesn't make sense, but that's baseball. -

Nice. Get that trade value up, and if you want to get back to .500, even better. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 03:22 PM) The first part was a direct Stone quote so I'll assume you saw beforehand and Stone was wrong. Twitter said Robertson was warming before the inning started -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 03:20 PM) "That's going to start David Robertson to work". He didn't start until after the inning began? No he was already warming.
